"Dance through the centuries"

Leading.Before the start of our evening, we conducted a quick survey and asked the question: “What do you like about dance art?” The answers were: “This beautiful movements”, “beautiful music”, “grace, bright costumes”, “dance evokes a feeling of pleasure”, “brings joy”, etc. Each of your answers contains the word “beauty!”

What does it mean to touch beauty? Here are one person’s thoughts on this matter: “I picked a flower and it withered. I caught a moth and it died in my palm. And then I realized that you can only touch beauty with your heart.”

Yes, you need to be able to not only see and feel beauty. Beauty must also be protected! This is the hardest thing. Capturing beauty in the soul, remembering it, always carrying it in the heart - maybe this is what it is highest manifestation human culture?

So, today we dedicate this evening to beauty, the beauty of dance - the most exciting, the most sublime and beautiful of all arts, since dance is not just a reflection of life, dance is life itself!

(Music sounds)

Presenter.Dance is an ancient wanderer. He came to us from hoary antiquity... In my opinion, he is the same age as “homo sapiens”. Everyone knows that work has shaped man, and I will add – also dance! It reflects, dating back to the earliest times, the need of man to convey to others people their joy or sorrow through the movements of their bodies.

Leading.Archaeologists in different parts of the world have discovered cave paintings depicting dancing men. Almost all important events in life primitive man were celebrated with dances: birth, death, war, election of a new leader, healing of the sick. The dance expressed prayers for rain, oh sunlight, about fertility, about protection and forgiveness. Many peoples of Africa still play the instruments of our distant ancestors. And their music retained to some extent the features of primitiveness.

Presenter.We tried to recreate perhaps one of the first dances of humanity, and this is what came out of it.

(All units are divided into dance groups and perform the Fire Dance.

You can use a recording of African drums as a soundtrack)

Presenter.There was other art as well. Let's remember what they danced at the royal courts of Europe in the 16th-17th centuries. Who knows?

(Participants of the evening call polonaise, morisca, rigaudon, bure, pavana, courante, volta, galliard, minuet)

Leading.And yet all these dances were created by the people. And in high society, the folk dance style changed in accordance with court etiquette. And in 1661, the Royal Academy of Dance appeared in France. And King Louis XIV of France ordered dance teachers to meet regularly and talk about dancing, reflect, and take care of their improvement.

(All units are divided into dance groups and perform a dance (any one to choose from))

Leading.The 20th century came, life changed - it became faster and more fleeting. The dances have also changed and new ones have appeared.

Presenter.In the 20s, Argentine tango captivated everyone. His true homeland is Spain. And now for a surprise!

(All units are divided into dance groups and perform a dance )

Leading.And in those days they danced the foxtrot and the Charleston. In the 40s of the twentieth century, rock and roll, boogie-woogie, twist, and shake appeared. Each dance entered the arena quickly and aggressively, he appeared like a “caliph for an hour” and quickly gave way to another.

(All units are divided into dance groups and perform a dance rock'n'roll)

Teacher.

The man was born cheerful.
Fashions and rhythms changed too,
But we can't live without dancing

(All units are divided into dance groups and perform the dance of little ducklings)

Presenter.

Time passes, century after century...
Man has always lived in worries.
But on every holiday and at leisure time
A happy dance was my best friend.

(All groups are divided into dance groups and perform the “Jolly Zoo” dance)

Leading.

Time passes, century after century.
Let the snow melt between us.

No one fun party Can't do without dancing and music. It’s not easy to tell about the birth of dance, but it happened when humanity was still leading a semi-wild lifestyle. People imitated animals in dances, believing that this would help them hunt. Gradually the art of dance became more complex. I developed my own dance etiquette, my own posture and gait.

The fate of dances is different - some are born in obscurity and quickly die, others live for a very long time, sometimes for more than one century.

We can talk about dancing for hours, but it will be better if we dance now.

But, before each lesson, dancers do a warm-up. (Stand in a circle)

Leading. One of the ways to convey mood and emotion has been dance since ancient times. Like music, dance is a language that everyone can understand. Imagine that you have met an alien from a distant unknown planet. Not understanding your language, he wants to show his affection and friendliness by dancing. Show me this dance. Each team depicts its dance, namely how it would dance:

  • one-horned hanurik;
  • scalloped susipusik;
  • fanged manmaron;
  • one-legged frog;
  • needle carp.

A competition is being held "Alien Dances"

Leading. Did you know that among some Indian tribes, when you see a stranger, it is customary to squat down until he approaches you. Some tribes remove their shoes to greet people. Australian Aborigines, when they see each other, begin to dance as a sign of greeting. Your task is to depict a dance - a greeting.

A competition is being held "Dancing Hello"

Leading. Our participants did a great job with the task. But here's an even more difficult task. And now let's go to one of the islands of the Pacific Ocean, where they live unusual tribes, which have their own greeting gestures, but we don’t know them yet. Depict the dance of the following tribes:

  • Yoho-ho warrior tribe;
  • the rich Shuko-tu tribe;
  • the hospitable Sese-ki tribe;
  • the poor tribe of Lyulyu-am;
  • peace-loving tribe Tura-bu.

Leading. And now I invite everyone to the center of our dance hall to take a little break from competitions. But this does not mean that the marathon is coming to an end. While the jury is summing up the preliminary results, for all participants game "Merry Runs". All players are divided into pairs. When the music stops, you need to quickly change places with the participants of the other pair and continue the dance as the leader asks.

  • We dance with our backs to each other
  • Holding hands
  • Holding your feet
  • Holding on to something hairy
  • Holding onto something soft
  • Holding onto something with a hole

Leading. And we continue our “Dance Marathon” program. Attention, participants, here is the next task for you. The competition is called "Clipomania". You need to perform a dance to a famous song - a video for this song. The names of the songs are written on cards, you choose any one and prepare for 5 minutes. And while our participants are getting ready, I invite the audience to also join in our dancing fun. I also have a game for you.

Game "Let's Dance"

To the accompaniment of various music, which is played for a few seconds (waltz, pop, hard rock, children's song, etc.), participants dance in a different genre.

So, the competition "Clipomania"! We invite teams to the hall.

Leading. At the end of our dance marathon, the teams will present for you their homemade dances, which will also be evaluated by the jury. So, our final competition "Master Class" .

Teams present their dance.

The jury sums up the results and awards the winners with certificates.
