- Of course, the easiest way to decide that a person is an alcoholic or drug addict is if there is something wrong with his health. He drank himself and smoked. I've definitely never been an alcoholic. An alcoholic is someone who gets hungover? And we can all have a drink. But I won't get a hangover. I'm quite reserved. Although, when I worked a lot, in the evenings I always had a drink somewhere with friends. For real, in Russian.
— You said that you borrowed money from your father at first. Did he really demand that you repay the debt?
- Yes. What's wrong with that? I have no grudge against my father. I’m even glad that he took the money from me then. I don't know where I would spend it. After the release of the first record I was already famous artist, and I didn’t have a penny of money. The team had to be fed, but there were no concerts at all. Then “Ivanushki” was at its peak. — How many songs have you written in total?
— 4 records are 40 songs. There are 2 more albums that have been recorded but not released. Already 60. Well, about 150 sketches. Melodies basically: somewhere there’s a verse, somewhere there’s a chorus.

— You have now begun to appear more often on television in various talk shows. Why suddenly?
— I spent a lot of time abroad. And he didn’t answer calls at all. But somehow I picked up the phone and was invited to appear on television. And I thought that now the situation in my life is such that I can give a couple of interviews. Makarevich once asked: “Andrey, why do you rarely give interviews?” “Because everything I want to say, I say in my songs,” he replied. And since I don’t say anything in songs now, but I love to talk, I decided: why not.
— Do you still have friends?
— I have never had close friends. The woman you love is probably your closest friend. But I don’t have it now either. I like women. And I’m ready to forgive them a lot. If I didn’t love them, I wouldn’t have written so many tender songs. Now I don't love anyone, unfortunately. And I think women are partly to blame for this. That's why I can't write. Now he is doing cosmetic renovations in his apartment. "I train at a sports club. They fenced off the crawl space for me as a VIP client. My back hurts, but I don’t reduce the load to develop my muscles. Sometimes I don’t want to go, but I understand that water doesn’t flow under a lying stone. I have enough to eat, enough for the gym. I don’t spend on entertainment.
