Natalia Gulkina is a famous Soviet singer, whose fame was brought by her collaboration with the groups “Mirage” and “Stars”. It was while working with them that our today’s heroine recorded her biggest hits.

Today, the artist’s work is already approaching its decline, but is it worth saying that Natalia Gulkina’s star has finally gone out? Of course not. After all, this woman always knew how to present pleasant surprises to her listeners.

Childhood and family of Natalia Gulkina

Natalia Valerievna Klyarenok (this is the name the artist bore at birth) was born on February 20, 1964 in Moscow. From an early age she showed great interest in musical creativity. First she learned to sing, and then began to learn the basics of playing the guitar with her father. The artist first began performing on stage at her home school. After this there were also concerts in pioneer camps and at various youth parties. At a certain point, Natalia also began to appear on various music competitions, in which she often managed to take prizes.

Natalia Gulkina became famous in the group Mirage

Only after graduating from school, the girl got married. So, the singer’s first husband was a man named Nikolai Gulkin. It was his surname that the actress subsequently bore throughout her life.

Thus, in the Moscow jazz studio, our today's heroine appeared under the name Natalia Gulkina. At this point, the girl began to systematically work on her vocals, as well as her acting skills. As a result, very soon fate brought Natasha together with another young singer Svetlana Razina, who in turn soon introduced her to composer Andrei Lityagin.

Natalya Gulkina and the group "Mirage"

By serendipity, it was at this moment that the leader of the Mirage group was looking for a new vocalist for his band to replace the departed Margarita Sukhankina.
After the audition, a place in the group was offered to our today’s heroine. However, surprisingly, Natalia Gulkina for quite a long time did not want to participate in the project, which seemed rather dubious to her. As a result, the girl gave her consent in principle only two months later. This began the collaboration of the young artist with the newly formed group “Mirage”.
Star Trek

Natalia Gulkina - This is China

After the record was released, Natalia Gulkina began touring frequently around the country. For some time she became the main face of the Mirage group, but as it turned out, her cooperation with the group was short-lived.
The same endless tours were to blame for everything.

Having written several new compositions, Andrei Lityagin first decided to offer them to Natalia Gulkina, but later abandoned this idea due to the fact that at that very moment the girl was at the other end of the Soviet Union. As a result, the songs were performed and recorded by the old soloist of the Mirage group, Margarita Sukhankina. Natasha herself was invited to subsequently perform these songs to a soundtrack. However, the girl considered this situation offensive and, in the end, decided to leave the group.

After that, the girl presented two more records to the public - “Disco” (1989) and “You just have to dream” (1991). Both albums became quite popular, and therefore, immediately after the collapse of the USSR, the girl began touring not only in the countries of the former Union, but also in some other countries. Particularly large concerts of the “Stars” group took place in China.

However, despite the accompanying success, at some point Natalia Gulkina decided to start new page in her work and eventually presented to the public her first solo album, “Day Angel”. After this, a fundamental change began in the life and work of the artist. new stage. The girl recorded new compositions, released records, toured the country - however, over time, Natalia Gulkina’s popularity steadily fell. The once fashionable disco style was replaced by new trends, and therefore, at a certain point, our today’s heroine gave way to other younger stars on the pedestal.

Biography, life story of Natalia Valerievna Gulkina

Childhood and youth

Natalia Valerievna Gulkina was born in February 1964 on the 20th in Moscow. She studied diligently at school, participated in singing clubs, and was a member of the USSR State Television and Radio Choir and the choir of the Palace of Pioneers. I did not enter the music school due to lack of connections. At the age of 18, she married Nikolai Gulkin and a year later they had a child. She got married practically to put on a dress and veil, although she was in love. Gulkin gave her a choice - either the stage or the family. Natalia, having taken the child, went to her mother. She divorced her husband. Gulkin was noticed by the composer Lityagin in 1987; he himself was then unknown to few people. He was looking for soloists for his project. She recorded a solo album, but left the project. Composer Andrei Velichkovsky invited the singer to record a solo album with his music; Natasha herself wrote the lyrics. The Stars project was born. In 1990, they recorded their second album, "Disco" and went on tour to China.

Second marriage, group "Stars"

Unexpectedly, Gulkina was left without a repertoire. Leonid Velichkovsky began to create a new group and began composing for his comrades. The group "Stars" with its artistic director, due to personal reasons, also assembled its own team called "Sheriff". Gulkina was married to her second husband, Kostya Terentyev, who was the artistic director of the Stars group. Terentyev behaved ugly and dishonest with her, and began to cheat on her. They lived together for 4 years, after which she broke off relations with him.

Third and fourth marriage

Gulkina found guitarist Andrei Molchanov and he began writing songs for her. In 1991, new albums were released, and “Stars” disappeared from the posters. Having celebrated a decade of creativity in 1996, Gulkina again disappeared from the scene. This time, her husband, with whom she had lived for 8 years, abandoned her; he left her with a one-and-a-half-year-old girl, Yana, in her arms. Sergei found a younger and more beautiful woman. Changes in personal life, lack of money and other problems continued until 1995. Gulkina married again, this time to a doctor. They met when pediatrician I came to treat my daughter. His name was also Sergei.

After some time, Natalia Gulkina, with the participation of Molchanov, recorded a new disc, “Dancing City.” Critics responded positively, noting the fashionable sound of the album and Gulkina's academic style of singing. New experiments did not lead to commercial success, Gulkina again disappeared from the sight of music lovers. At this time, Natalia entered the RATI and graduated in 1999 with a degree in dramatic actress. At first she studied at the directing department, and then moved to the acting department, at the so-called “Sobinovka”, where she studied with teacher D.G. Livneva. She continued to tour Russia as a solo singer, recorded remixes from the first one, and shot a video in 2000. In 2002, she took part in the “Disco 80s” festival, the performance was a huge success. She tried to organize new project in 2003, a new group "Malta" with a second soloist, but realized that fans were waiting for her. All endeavors required large investments, she returned to solo work.

Meeting with Margarita Sukhankina, success on NTV

Natalia continued to work as a producer. In 2004, she met Margarita Sukhankina, with whom most of the songs of this group were recorded. The two singers recorded a new album, “Just a Mirage,” which was released in 2005. Margarita chose a career opera prima 1987 and worked at the Bolshoi Theater. By the time she met Natalia, she was no longer working in the theater. The result of this creative meeting was the single “Mirage of Love”, which aroused great interest among the public. They continued to exploit the brand further, despite the dissatisfaction of the owners of the rights to the brand. The two singers began working under the brand “Golden Voices of the Group”. After some time, they teamed up with Andrei Lityagin and released the group’s video for the first time in 20 years. This was in 2007. Gulkina and Sukhankina became the winners of the TV show on the NTV channel "Superstar 2008". In this project, Natalia Gulkina’s acting talent was fully demonstrated; she played many diverse characters on the NTV project.

Creative successes, prospects

On January 15, 2011, Gulkina left and resumed her solo career. Due to disagreements with her colleagues, she no longer performed the repertoire. Since 2011, she has taken up her own projects. Natalia began acting in films. In the musical “The Three Musketeers” to the music of Maxim Dunaevsky, she played the main role. In 2011, a new solo song “Your Name” was released. Natalia Gulkina gave her first solo concert with her famous hits in 2011. And already in June 2012, Natalia Gulkina and Svetlana Razina joined together. In November 2012, her new solo album was released. In December, Gulkina’s new song, co-authored with the poet Andrei Demidov, was heard again.

Natalya Gulkina was born on February 20, 1964 in Moscow. From a very early age, the girl strove for music and creativity, and studied diligently at school. I loved listening to Vysotsky, Zykina, Deep Purple and Kiss. Natalya not only sang beautifully, but also composed songs herself. At school parties and at holiday camps, her performances to the accompaniment of a guitar received their first well-deserved standing ovations. The young singer decided that singing was her destiny. The girl dreamed of nothing else.

To continue musical career, Gulkina went to the capital’s jazz studio. Here she improved her vocals and studied acting. There I met my colleague Svetlana Razina. And she, in turn, brought her friend together with the then little-known composer Andrei Lityagin.

At the time of the meeting, Lityagin was just searching. Margarita Sukhankina left the team, deciding to pursue a career opera singer. After much persuasion, Gulkina agreed to try her hand at Mirage.

This is how the stardom began musical biography Natalia Gulkina. Her first songs “Mad World”, “Sunny Summer”, “I Don’t Want” and “Electricity” instantly turned into hits. The whole country sang along with the blonde beauty. In 1987, the group released an album called “The Stars Are Waiting for Us,” which included hits performed by it.

Natalia and the band began touring around the country. Her concerts attracted huge stadiums. “Mirage” and Natalia Gulkina were expected in all parts of the Soviet Union. Group leader Lityagin did not dare to interrupt these trips, which brought in considerable income. But it is necessary to update the group’s repertoire, and there was no time for this due to Natalia’s absence. Therefore, the composer asked Margarita Sukhankina to record new compositions.

After returning from another tour, Natalia Gulkina was offered to learn the songs and perform with them to Sukhankina’s soundtrack. The singer did not like this idea, as she considered it to be fraud. Therefore, I decided to leave the team.

But this did not mean that Natalya quit singing. The singer organized her own Music band, called "Stars". But out of ignorance, she continued to perform the songs with which she had soloed in the previous group. This led to litigation.

After the ban on performing Mirage hits, Gulkina did not give up. Having met the composer Leonid Velichkovsky, who offered her his musical material, Natalia recorded new compositions that immediately won the hearts of disco lovers. “Stars” in the early 1990s released their own albums “My Little Prince”, “Disco” and “You Just Have to Dream”. The collections sold in huge quantities. Natalia Valerievna turned out to be the first Soviet pop star to go on a tour to China.

In 2004, fans of the Mirage group received a huge surprise. Natalia Gulkina and Margarita Sukhankina teamed up and started singing together. They first appeared at the “Disco of the 80s” concert with Gulkina’s song “Ivanhoe”. A year later they released a disc called “Just a Mirage.” Soon a video for the song of the same name appeared.

In February 2010, Natalia Gulkina and the group took part in the opening of the Winter Olympics in Vancouver. Then the singer returned to her solo career. The reason was disagreements in the team. Her place was taken by Svetlana Razina.

As of February 2019, Natalia Gulkina continues to appear on stage. The singer performs her old hits and new songs. She is a mandatory guest at all retro concerts held in Russia in last years. She is still loved and remembered.
