Biography of Katya Morgunova. A sweet couple from KVN revealed the secrets of family life to KP

Ekaterina Morgunova everyone knows from the show "Once Upon a Time in Russia" on the channel TNT. “Usually my characters are nervous, bitchy and inadequate,” he smiles. Kate taking a sip of tea. She's a little embarrassed “I don’t pose for photographers that often.”), and yet it’s hard to imagine that this girl was a “gray mouse” at school.

About how to get from the Pyatigorsk technical school to the major league of a popular humorous TV show, why it is important that your loved one is from the same field as you, and what awaits us in the new season "Once Upon a Time in Russia", Ekaterina Morgunova told in an interview PEOPLETALK.

Before you get into "Once Upon a Time in Russia", I played in a popular comedy show on television. And three years ago the producer Comedy Club Production and show creator Vyacheslav Dusmukhametov gathered a certain group of people whom he wanted to see in his new project - my colleague and I were among them.

This show has no analogues, so we were immediately interested. I actually think this is something brilliant. This is pure creativity: we shoot in one take, maximum two. And everything works: the scenery, the live audience, we don’t have any overlap in laughter. So I am very glad that Vyacheslav chose me.

I have become much more confident in myself thanks to my colleagues. They are not afraid to try. At rehearsals we look for ourselves - each time in a new image, in new role. Previously, I was very constrained, I played in one role, but I looked at the guys and realized that I needed to be more confident and brave. Our team is also so friendly - we are all on the same wavelength.

Usually my heroine is quite hysterical. ( Smiling.) In life, of course, I’m different: much more restrained, I practically don’t scream. Unless I raise my voice when I play some games gambling type "Crocodile", the desire to win is already involved, and you have no control over it.

We have already started filming new episodes, and very soon they can be seen on TNT. We ourselves don’t know what will happen there, because the project is constantly developing, we don’t get tired of it. New characters can be added, the scenery is constantly updated, and they are unique - it’s easy for us to immerse ourselves in the atmosphere of the room and get used to the character. If we show a story about hockey or figure skating, our skating rink on the site may actually be flooded. If it’s a beach, you see real sand, real fir trees, if it’s a forest, then it really smells like pine. Everything is very unpredictable, but I can say for sure that "Once Upon a Time in Russia" it will be even better, even funnier, it is constantly improving, and we are with it.

I believe that a sense of humor is inherent in a person from birth, but it can be learned - it all depends on your social circle. But, in general, a sense of humor is improvisation, it should be in the blood, so I was probably lucky.

I was born and raised in Pyatigorsk. I love my city very much, when I have free time, I definitely fly there. My mother is a fashion designer: my sister and I always had the most fashionable and unusual outfits. Mom is Armenian, and dad is Georgian (an explosive mixture, despite the fact that I am blonde). Dad works in a construction company. My parents never stopped me creativity, for which I am very grateful to them. I was always an excellent student and was never scolded for anything. At school I was a “gray mouse”, sitting on the first desk in front of the teacher.

You can say that until the ninth grade I earned my authority, and then I became more sociable: I began to be friends not only with girls, but also with boys. I graduated from school with a medal, I really wanted to sew, so I came to the technical school. At the same time, I entered Pyatigorsk State Technological University for HR manager. In college, we often did some skits for events, and I wrote scripts. And then one day a wonderful woman who studied at the university saw me, creative part Irina Leonidovna Karmen

. This man changed my life. At our first joint event, she appreciated our skit and asked: “Who wrote the text?” I, naturally, answered. And since then she began to help me develop in this direction. That’s how I ended up on the university team, we participated in city and regional competitions. And then Olga Kartunkova

invited me and my teammates to the city team, as part of which we reached the major league and won it. By the way, my husband and I ( Leonid Morgunov ) that’s how I met – we were rivals on a TV show. They played in one season, and then I didn’t notice him at all. I was so immersed in that she barely communicated with anyone. And somehow on tour we started talking - this was four years ago. Then they came and analyzed whether it was necessary and whether it was true. So things started to happen, and after a while he proposed to me, and we had a wonderful wedding.

We are from the same field, so we understand each other very well, we have never had any jealousy because of work. That is, if I have a rehearsal late, then this is in the order of things, and no one doubts it. It’s the same for him if he goes to another city to perform.

We don't have a common hobby, but we really love watching movies. A wonderful evening to lie around and watch a good movie. In general, we have a fixed idea - watch 100 best paintings. We also travel when we have the opportunity.

My husband swears at me because I eat both night and day. ( Laughs.) I don’t play sports, unfortunately, but I probably don’t need to, I have a good metabolism and genetics. My weight has not changed since school – 45 kg. So I don’t need sports yet. But I love adrenaline – I’m an extreme sports enthusiast. And jumped with a parachute, and did a bungee jump in Sochi.

"Once Upon a Time in Russia", every Sunday at 21.00 on TNT.

TBILISI, February 28 – Sputnik, Alexey Stefanov. The usual image of a hysterical woman from humorous program“Once Upon a Time in Russia,” which is firmly entrenched in the show’s participant Ekaterina Morgunova, completely collapses when you see this fragile, friendly and pretty girl. And as soon as you start a conversation with her, it seems as if there are two different people- that's what acting means.

Although vocational education Katya Morgunova does not. She went from a certified dressmaker to a philosopher, but found herself in humor. And after that she received an invitation to participate in the television project “Once Upon a Time in Russia” on TNT.

All countries in the Caucasus are close to me

Katya, I would immediately like to ask you about the roots. You yourself are from Pyatigorsk, but your maiden name Utmelidze - according to your father Guram Ruslanovich, you are Georgian. And I also heard that you have Armenian roots?

— Yes, my dad is Georgian, he comes from Borjomi. My grandmother Valentina and my father’s father still live there. younger sister- Aunt Maka (Maya). I didn’t go there often—only a couple of times as a child—but I was baptized in Georgia. From that time I even remember some pictures - what was the situation in the apartment, the nature around, and it is very beautiful in Georgia, in the resort area of the House of Composers, where my grandmother worked... I really like this country - with its energy, wonderful people.

- Surely, dad came to Pyatigorsk to study and met mom there.

- Yes, it was study or even practice, he was still studying in Tbilisi. And my mother is a native of Pyatigorsk and just an Armenian - Larisa Arkadyevna Arushanova. And if mine" Georgian grandmother"Russian by nationality, then everyone here is Armenian. Her family has been living in the North Caucasus for several generations. Maybe that’s why we didn’t go to Armenia as children - the Arushanovs took root in Pyatigorsk a long time ago. I filled this gap myself when my husband and I They hosted a travel show “Russo Touristo”. Once they filmed a program in Yerevan, and I fell in love with this city and this country. Armenia is also very beautiful.

But I grew up in the Caucasus, so all the cities and countries in this region are close to me. The people there, of course, are very kind, hospitable, sincere, everything is so emotional. I'm used to it. That is why at first it was difficult for me to adapt to Moscow. People here are completely different, more indifferent. But in the Caucasus, everyone knows everything about everyone, they worry about everyone, they ask about everyone, they are interested in who lives, how and where, who gave birth to whom, and so on.

- Have you managed to visit Georgia as an adult?

— Yes, we also filmed a story there for a travel show, drove past Borjomi and made a stop. Bye film crew I was resting, we went to my grandmother. It was a spontaneous meeting, but no less warm for that. Georgia was very impressive, Tbilisi is beautiful, and Batumi too. I want to go back there.

- It turns out that you have Georgian, Armenian and Russian blood. Who do you consider yourself to be?

- I don’t even know... Probably more Georgian, after all, I spent 27 years with Georgian surname(Utmelidze - editor's note). In addition, Georgians successfully and moderately combine modernity and tradition, this is very close to me.

A girl with a candidate's minimum

I followed your search for yourself - you either wanted to become a fashion designer, then manage personnel, then went into philosophy. What kind of throwing was this?

— (laughs) I wanted to become a fashion designer because I really liked sewing - my mother does it wonderfully. She was engaged in individual tailoring and taught at a technical school. And, of course, since childhood, my sister had the most elegant dolls, and we ourselves had very beautiful dresses.

Comedy Club Production

And although I graduated from school with a silver medal, I went to sewing college. My mother knew that they provide a good foundation there and teach wonderfully. But this is a rare case when a girl with a medal goes to a sewing college (laughs). And therefore in admissions committee They were very surprised, they even called the director: “Look, the medal winner has come to us.” But at the same time, I entered the correspondence course at the university to become a human resources manager.

- That is, who did you ultimately want to become?

— In my thoughts, when all this was pictured in my head, I wanted to open my own atelier, do what I love, but at the same time lead.

- And they went in the other direction altogether - they began to study philosophy.

“I just had the opportunity to enroll in graduate school. And there was a choice - a technical direction or a humanitarian one. But I’m not a mathematician or a physicist, so the closest among the directions turned out to be social philosophy.

- But you left your studies, and if you had finished, what would you have become?

— Candidate philosophical sciences. Honestly, I don’t know what I should do. I enjoyed graduate school, but it had already begun new stage in my life - I played in KVN. And I no longer immersed myself headlong in my studies, I didn’t write a dissertation, I understood that I would not complete it, but would only spend a lot of time on initial articles. Why do this? So I only have the candidate minimum. True, I never received a certificate about this. Everyone scolds me for this - others are studying, trying, but you haven’t even taken the documents. In theory, somewhere in the graduate school archives there is proof that I passed the candidate minimum.

Ekaterina Morgunova - participant in the show "Once Upon a Time in Russia"

- So you can go back and still defend your dissertation?

- It turns out I can, but I can’t imagine it.

They literally forced me to go to KVN

- Tell us how you got into KVN.

“This happened thanks to my very beloved Irina Leonidovna Carmen. The college where I studied to become a fashion designer was affiliated with the North Caucasus State Technical University. This is the same university where I simultaneously studied by correspondence. But part-time extracurricular activities creative activity didn’t touch upon it, but when we were united, it turned out that there were a lot of sections there. At that time there were a circus studio, two choreographic studios, national and modern dance, vocal and theater studio, KVN. And the production director of this university, Irina Leonidovna Carmen, held and still holds these castings every year among freshmen, one of which I once attended.

- And you also decided to try yourself?

- No! We were literally forced to go there; no one from our college wanted to go there. Everyone was shy, afraid - there was a university there, students, they were all cool (laughs). And here is our head of educational work forced me and another girl from our college to go to the casting. We staged some kind of performances for all the holidays, came up with numbers, sewed costumes for ourselves, fortunately our profession allowed it. Our group was very active in this regard, and I am apparently the most active in this group. And so I had a parody “Renata Litvinova visiting the program “Who Wants to Become a Fashion Designer”. The manager says: “Go, show something, otherwise they have joined us, but we are not participating.” We came to this casting, showed with Irina Leonidovna became interested in this girl’s sketch and asked: “Who came up with it?” I replied that she did it herself. You will play in KVN,” she said.

So I first got into the faculty team, then into the university team, started going to festivals in Sochi, played in the city league, and then we were all united by Olga Kartunkova, captain of the City Pyatigorsk team. She decided to gather everyone she liked from the league in Pyatigorsk, the best, no matter how immodest it may sound.

- And the dream of working in a sewing workshop ended there?

- But no. When I graduated from college, I continued to study at the university by correspondence and... work in a fur company. I even worked in the department for developing experimental models, sewing very interesting original things. Meticulous, but very slow. The director and technologist really liked the quality of my work, but this, unfortunately, did not increase my salary. I was just creating.

- And then we went to create exclusively on stage. Do you remember your first outing - how did it feel?

— I was worried. But the scenes were different. In the same college there was also a stage, but there was no excitement there, because the attitude towards it was as some kind of entertainment, as fun. But playing KVN was already perceived as a responsible competition. I still get excited when I get into the hall where we played in the city league.

- When your loved ones first saw you on stage, what did they say?

“My parents were probably just surprised that I was performing at all.” There were no artists in our family. Mom took part in some kind of amateur performance when she was studying, and that was all over. Therefore, mom and dad, and all my extended family, were happy for me and surprised. This is the courage you need to have - to go on stage. People who don’t do this themselves think that this is akin to a feat. For some reason, I was especially worried when my mother went to my games. This added responsibility, and I already had enough stress before games.

I throw tantrums only on stage

- How did you get involved in the Once Upon a Time in Russia project? Did you have any doubts or did you immediately agree to participate?

— It was four years ago. Vyacheslav Dusmukhametov, producer of Comedy Club Production and the author of the show, gathered members of the cast from different teams and told them that he wanted to make such a show and explained why he had gathered us all. And, of course, I immediately liked the idea - I wanted to participate in this project. People with whom we were on the same wavelength were invited to the show. And it was immediately clear that we would be comfortable and incredibly interested in working together. Before this, we already had experience of touring together, we knew what it was like when such people gather. The only thing I was unsure of was, could I do it? In KVN everything was clear, I knew what to do, I was used to the game, I felt very confident at that moment, but here was something new. But the desire to get into the project was great.

Comedy Club Production

Ekaterina Morgunova - participant in the show "Once Upon a Time in Russia"

- Did you hesitate for a long time?

“I didn’t hesitate at all.” It was television project, which means a certain growth and development. Some advantages, I think. I'm still glad I agreed.

- Usually you play hysterical ladies. How did this image arise, which you have not left for several years now?

— It just so happened, we all already had certain acting images. And for humorous scene There is always a need for conflict. So, Olga is impudent, which means she needed someone who would “yap” at her. And I dealt with it very well. And visually it looked comical - I’m so small and thin, and I’m always in conflict with Olya. That’s why this image stuck with me. But now in the show “Once Upon a Time in Russia” I began to have different images.

- Is there any role that especially sank into your soul?

- I really enjoyed arguing with Timur Babyak - we had number one when visiting such an ordinary married couple— Two more couples come to Ira Chesnokova and Igor Lastochnik. One is Zaur Baytsaev with Olya Kartunkova - too cute, right to the point of snot. The other one is us - we shout at each other, non-stop, we say nasty things to each other.

It was very funny to me, it turned out very harmoniously. I imagined how we look from the outside - I’m so small and the two-meter Babyak is hanging over me, tearing at my throat. Moreover, this, apparently, caught the attention of the authors so much that they wrote a separate issue for us - how we come to the registry office for divorce for the tenth time. And we also swear in the same style. I can say that this number took a lot of energy out of me, because it is very difficult to shout and keep the text in my head. There are emotions there, you won’t stop and remember the phrase, passions are running high. In general, I really love numbers where we laugh while we perform them. It happens that even during the final filming we get stuck and it’s hard not to laugh. They even put together a whole video with such moments.

Comedy Club Production

Ekaterina Morgunova - participant in the show "Once Upon a Time in Russia"

I also really liked doing a parody of Elena Malysheva - it was in the New Year's issue. It was a lot of fun and I didn't have to shout as usual. I monotonously said complete nonsense, and it also turned out very harmonious and funny.

- I wonder, are you just as sharp at home or vice versa - white and fluffy?

— At home I don’t shout at all. By the way, my husband laughs when I throw tantrums on stage. But in our life, thank God, this does not happen. Even if some misunderstanding or minimal conflict arises, I do not raise my voice. I get enough of it on stage. If they yell like that again in my life (laughs)… I could go crazy.

Still on the same page

- Would you like to try yourself in cinema?

- I would like to, yes. So that the role is emotional and non-standard, so that filming is interesting. But there have been no offers yet. Although I think that if it happens, they will probably offer the role of a girl with a hysterical character (laughs).

- And if without cinema, what are your plans for the near future?

— There are no specific plans. There is no such thing as: “Mmmm, something will happen soon, but I won’t tell you yet.” I plan to star in the show “Once Upon a Time in Russia” on TNT. I feel as comfortable as possible here, I know that I can develop and grow here. Thanks also to my colleagues. I really like our team - we learn a lot from each other.

- Do you meet any of your colleagues outside of performances and tours?

— With Olya Kartunkova, of course. With Misha Stognienko - he came to the show "Once Upon a Time in Russia" later than me, but I've known him for a long time - he good friend my husband. In principle, we are friendly with everyone. And what makes me happy is that we are still on the same page, although four years have already passed and everyone has succeeded in some other projects. But we have fun here, this is not a routine, not boring work and I really like her.

The usual image of a hysterical woman from the humorous program “Once Upon a Time in Russia,” which is firmly attached to the show’s participant Ekaterina Morgunova, completely collapses when you see this fragile, friendly and pretty girl. And thanks to her character and talent, she successfully succeeded. Of course, not right away. I had to work hard, work on my image. Then the City of Pyatigorsk team appeared in Ekaterina’s life. It consisted of three teams of the Pyatigorsk League, for one of which Katya played. But the guys from each team were missing something, so they decided to unite. Then their business went uphill, and soon they got into the KVN Major League.

Of course, this issue was influenced by the fact that Leonid and Ekaterina are avid KVN players. Our heroine received a marriage proposal from Lenya in an unconventional way. This happened right on the stage where the “Musical KiViN” took place. Leonid knelt down in front of Katya and handed over the box containing the engagement ring. Naturally, our heroine accepted the offer. Thus, having announced their engagement, Ekaterina Utmelidze and Leonid Morgunov became the bride and groom. They began to prepare for the upcoming happy and solemn event in their lives.

Wedding of Ekaterina Utmelidze

But due to the fact that KVN takes up quite a lot of time in the children’s lives, the wedding took place only a year after that amazing and touching proposal on stage.

Since loved ones and relatives live at a considerable distance (our groom is from Novosibirsk), then perhaps there will be not one wedding celebration, but two or three. This is all because our bride has Caucasian roots, and she is characterized by scale and hospitality.

And the official part of the wedding, of course, took place in Pyatigorsk on June 7, 2014. It was an outstanding event. The young couple had fun with their guests and relatives all day. Their fans, who specialize in weddings, helped them a lot in this, for which Leonid and Ekaterina are immensely grateful to them. She and Leonid look like an amazingly beautiful and happy couple.

Personal life of Ekaterina Utmelidze

In the past, Ekaterina Utmelidze was very fond of sewing and handicrafts. Now, in her free time from her busy touring life, the best rest for her is to lie in front of the TV, and, of course, meeting with her now beloved husband, friends and relatives. Katya also likes to see her teammates outside the game, as she considers them her family. But due to the busy tour schedule, unfortunately, these meetings do not occur as often as we would like. Despite this, Katya does not lose heart and in no way complains about her life, since she herself is satisfied with everything and she is absolutely happy.
