About the TV program

Famous doctors in Ukraine are trying to help people whose lives have been destroyed by disease, to save them from inconvenient, sometimes even shameful diseases, or to significantly improve their condition.

Project format

According to the project concept, each program involves five main characters - real people With serious illnesses. Qualified doctors help them cope with the disease. First, participants are examined in a Kyiv clinic, complaints are listened to and diagnostics are carried out. Then they are sent to other hospitals, where patients will undergo operations and treat their illnesses. In addition, consultations will be held in different cities of Ukraine for everyone. Three hosts of the show - experienced doctors - examine patients, and then advise them what to do and who to contact.

Presenters

Lyudmila Shupenyuk

Obstetrician-gynecologist by specialty. Works at the Women's Consultation Center of the central district clinic of the Dnieper district of Kyiv.

Lyudmila's family is a dynasty of doctors. Besides her, her mother, father, and sister also work as doctors. The project “I’m ashamed of my body,” according to Lyudmila, attracted her with its uniqueness:

The project is completely non-standard. It shows viewers that there are doctors who are willing to talk to patients and are willing to listen to them. He will let people know that they can talk to a doctor about anything and get qualified help.

Lyudmila Shupenyuk is convinced that the specificity of medical work lies in the ability not to ask uncomfortable, painful questions, so as not to further injure the patient. But the specificity of television is just the opposite, because otherwise you won’t make the viewer think:

The value of the project is that this is perhaps the only program where diseases are considered in all aspects. Starting from the cause and diagnosis, and to treatment and prevention options. Moreover, I am sure that such a necessary and difficult-to-present product should turn out interesting, sometimes shocking, but still intelligent and life-affirming.

Ekaterina Bezvershenko

Dermatovenerologist by specialty. Works at the Institute of Clinical Medicine clinic, dermatovenerological dispensary No. 3 of the Svyatoshinsky district of Kyiv.

Ekaterina grew up in a medical family, so medical philosophy has been close and understandable to her since childhood. According to Ekaterina, the project attracted her with the opportunity to study rare diseases, expand her knowledge in related specialties and the unlimited possibilities of examination and treatment methods:

I really hope that this project will increase the level of confidence in domestic medicine. After all, in our country there are excellent specialists and individual approach to every patient.

According to the girl, the main reason that people neglect their illnesses is laziness and dislike for themselves and their bodies. She also notes high level mistrust of doctors and medical illiteracy:

I highly recommend everyone to watch the project “I’m ashamed of my body” because: firstly, this is the first program in Ukraine in which the viewer has the opportunity to see the healing process from the inside, because everything in the project is absolutely real. Secondly, the project has a lot useful information about health and disease prevention, which is presented in an accessible, visual form. And thirdly - this is absolutely social project, which, despite some frankness, calls for empathy, love and care for yourself and your neighbor.

Valery Oslavsky

Traumatologist by specialty. Works at City Clinical Hospital No. 11, the first trauma department in Odessa.

The lack of material restrictions in diagnosing and treating a patient, as well as the opportunity to show that medical workers in Ukraine are no worse than those abroad, prompted me to participate in the project “I’m ashamed of my body.” Valery believes that the most common reason that people develop their illnesses is the lack of culture healthy image life:

In simple terms, patients do not value health when it is present and silently endure when it is no longer there. Everyone’s motivations are different: from the fact that there is no money to the fact that something else is more important now. This is a remnant of vicious thinking with Soviet era when medicine was worth nothing. People must learn to understand that it is easier and cheaper to prevent a disease than to eliminate its consequences.

Valery believes that after watching the project, viewers will learn to be attentive to themselves and the early manifestations of the body, will understand where and how to diagnose, and which doctor to contact in a given case.

"would lose a fair amount of charm. We tell you all the most interesting things about the selfless experimenter and charming doctor - Valery Oslavsky.

1. He always wanted to save people

As a child, Valery dreamed of bringing benefit to people - if not in deed, then at least in words. Therefore, until the 9th grade, I was tormented by the choice: to become a lawyer, journalist or doctor. But everything was decided by a trip to Odessa National Medical University. He won my heart young man the beauty of the columns, high ceilings and spacious auditoriums. The boy realized that treating people was his thing. And the Czechoslovak series “Hospital on the Outskirts of the City,” which was on TV at that time, finally tipped the scales towards medicine.

2. His sense of humor is worth 100 thousand rubles

Valery captivated the audience of “I’m Shy About My Body” not only with his professionalism, but also great feeling humor. He played in the KVN team “Rhesus Factor”, and combined treating people with hosting holidays. His charisma was also appreciated by the hosts of the humorous program “Make the Comedian Laugh,” where the young doctor’s jokes earned him 100 thousand rubles. As they say, Valery invested them in his profession and spent them on advanced training.

3. The most important things for him are work and daughter.

Valery lives in two cities: work awaits him in Kyiv, and family awaits him in Odessa. Most often he can be found consulting patients, filming medical programs and engaging in social activities. But even in such a busy schedule, the doctor finds time for his daughter, with whom he is very close: they play sports together, walk by the sea and have creative weekends. On his Facebook page, Valery admits that he could not live without the girl’s support:

4. He will never refuse help

Valery has hundreds of saved patients, but he treated many of them outside the doctor’s office, and sometimes in extreme conditions. One day a young doctor witnessed major accident, when the bus drove into the fence, and together with his colleagues helped the wounded all night. The second high-profile case occurred this year: Valery spent 20 minutes resuscitating a woman who became ill at a bus stop.

IN Everyday life The doctor is also attentive to requests - he answers people on the street and gives advice on which specialist to contact on social networks.

5. He will do anything for a cause.

On the project “I’m embarrassed by my body,” Valery conducted dozens of crazy and difficult medical experiments: he walked in heels, got tattoos, got drunk and even “got pregnant.” But he admits to journalists that most of all he wants to conduct an experiment with road accidents - to deliberately crash several cars to show what injuries await the driver, passengers and pedestrians. And, most importantly, how can you avoid them, because hundreds of people die on the roads every day.

Filming the second season of a shocking medical project " I'm shaking my body"are in full swing. However, the first season of the project changed the life of each of the leading doctors. Traumatologist Valery Oslavsky showed himself very clearly and was remembered by the audience, as he often took part in the experiments of the project. We offer you an interview with the doctor, in which Valery sums up the results of the first season.

Traumatologist surgeon Valery Oslavsky, during the filming of the first season of the project “I’m Losing My Body,” managed to tell viewers about how to brush your teeth correctly, what you can learn about your health by examining your urine, how to go to the toilet correctly and many other interesting facts.

As part of the project, he had the opportunity to put on breasts and get out of a huge vagina! And, according to Oslavsky himself, as a result of this, his old patients looked at him completely differently. Why his image of an ideal (in all respects) doctor did not benefit Valery, the man exclusively told in an interview.

In principle, everything happened the same way as in ordinary life, with the participation of the film crew.

Have you ever tried to calm down patients? Many people are afraid of the camera.

Of course, this happened too. But the main thing is to start a conversation, and then the person will concentrate on his problem, and not on the cameras. If you manage to interest the patient, he forgets about the film crew.

Has your life changed in any way after you started appearing, so to speak, on TV every Thursday?

Yes, I started to love sleeping (laughs).

What about popularity? Do people come up on the streets and try to start a conversation?

Sometimes it happens. Most often they just find me on social networks and talk about their problems and ask for advice.

Are there more patients?

There is such a thing. But I am an urgent traumatologist, that is, I provide emergency assistance. So call the department, find out my schedule and come on the day I am on duty.

Did your old patients say anything about your participation in the project?

That I look good on camera (laughs).

Now directly about the project. Did you get along well with your colleagues right away?

From the very first day! Wonderful and, importantly, diverse and very interesting people. Lyudmila is an intelligent, bohemian woman with an amazing sense of humor and a subtle nature. Katya is an example of calmness, and, at the same time, an energizer: always lively, energetic, active, cheerful and cheerful. Vasily, as for me, is Doctor Watson. He always has with him a perfectly ironed robe, a perfectly crisp shirt, a perfectly polished travel bag, ideal attitude to life and project.

Do you continue to communicate with any of them outside the project?

Unfortunately, time intersect somewhere other than social networks, we do not have.

Which of the project patients was the most difficult for you?

Perhaps this is Svetlana Tsygankova, a woman with one huge breast and big amount seals to another. First of all, because the person was very irresponsible about himself and his health. In principle, all patients lie, Dr. House was right in this regard. It’s just that someone lies because they are ashamed, and someone lies because they are not ready to accept the truth. For example, about your real diagnosis. This was the case. It was impossible to convince a person that something needed to be changed, and radically. Moreover, the situation was changing before our eyes, more and more new facts were revealed. It was very difficult.

Were there any unusual patients? For example, Lyudmila was once approached by a girl named Christina, who, as it turned out, had previously been a man.

I had an unusual patient with frequent belching. A peculiar person, we did not immediately find mutual language. And then we somehow established contact, and everything went like clockwork. As a result, the problem was solved.

In such cases, it turns out that you also act as a psychologist...

Alas, psychological education I have no. You know, they say that if a person works as a doctor, and after talking with him the patient feels better, then it’s time for him to change his occupation.

How do you like the idea of conducting experiments in in public places? Do you think it is effective?

Moreover, I believe that this is the most important point in this project. Because such general educational work with shocking elements, which we always have, attracts attention. And in this way people learn more about what they encounter every day, but to which they did not attach importance. Agree, very few people know how to brush their teeth properly, what proper intimate hygiene should be, etc. I’ll say this: if after the experiment, where am I, an adult man with two higher education, I had to put on breasts and walk around the city center with them, even though 10 women went and got checked - then I’m ready to repeat it. Filming which experiment do you remember most? With breasts? They were all unique. You know, with our film crew any experiment is a holiday. Even if it's difficult. If you create conditions for good and productive work, then everything goes easily. For me, for example, it is very important that they do not stop me while working with people, do not mumble in my ear, or shine a candlestick in my eye. I just want to be given a task and I do it. After several attempts, the team realized that this method of working in my case was very productive, and everything went like clockwork.

In one of the Kyiv parks, Valery, together with Ekaterina Bezvershenko, told passers-by how to brush their teeth properly

Filming for the second season is in full swing, so it turns out you didn’t have time to rest...

I'm not tired. You know, if you do what you love, you don’t get tired. And I will have time to sleep after 75 years (smiles).
