Garden of the human soul. "Little Prince" of the planet and its inhabitants "Little Prince" of the planet and its inhabitants

Preliminary work:

  1. reading a book independently and with a teacher in the format extracurricular activities;
  2. familiarization with the concept of “museum exhibit”;
  3. identifying exhibit options;
  4. selection of exhibits by pupils;
  5. distribution into groups for teamwork;
  6. informing technology and music teachers;
  7. creation of some exhibits under the guidance of music and technology teachers;
  8. informing parents about the creation of the museum and the opening date;
  9. participation of parents who show interest in reading and joint activities with kids.

Target: maintain interest in reading books, create conditions for the development of such competencies as the ability to make choices and be responsible for the result, conduct dialogue and speak publicly, correlate one’s personal experience(ability to make friends, take care of dear people) with the behavior of the hero, draw conclusions based on what you read.

Equipment: material for exhibition in school library to the 70th anniversary of the publication of the fairy tale " A little prince", the book "The Little Prince", drawings and crafts of the pupils, audio recordings of the songs "The Little Prince".

During the classes

1. Fanfare sounds

Teacher. Today we have a significant event for which we have been preparing for more than a month. It is dedicated to the wise and good fairy tale Antawn de Saint-Exupery "The Little Prince". The book is written for children and adults all over the world: for Russians and Americans, Japanese and Chinese, Dutch and Danes, English and Portuguese - for everyone. And for you and me too.

I consider the museum open and invite everyone to communicate.

2. Performance of the song “The Little Prince” (minus Valeria)

3. Presentation of exhibits. Biography of the writer. (based on exhibition materials)

Teacher Exupery was not only a writer, but also a military pilot. What kind of person must be, in whom the love of aviation and literature was so amazingly combined? Here Daniil, Anatoly, Arseny will talk about the writer. ( Application)

Exupery was born on June 29, 1900 in the city of Lyon in France. He was the third child of five children. The family was not in poverty. But she wasn't rich either. Life became especially difficult when my father died. The mother hid her grief deeply. The children never saw her sad. She gave each of the children an equal share of tenderness and attention. But Tonio was especially devoted to his mother. He followed her everywhere

dragging his little chair behind him. As soon as the mother sat down, he settled down at her feet. (Slide 1-2)

The luxurious parks of La Molle Castle and Andersen's fairy tales provided wonderful food for a child's heart. During home holidays, children danced, wearing 18th-century camisoles. The future writer studied at a privileged college. (slide 3)

In 1921 he was drafted into the army aviation regiment. At first he serviced airplanes on the ground, then he learned from experienced pilots and in 1927 he began to fly on his own: transporting mail from Europe to America. One of the first to master the technique of flying at night. Later, in his book “Planet of People,” he will tell how he realized the responsibility for his business. Sitting at the bedside of his friend, who miraculously survived the plane crash, he reasons: “He (the pilot) is responsible for himself, for the mail, for his comrades who hope for his return. Their sorrow and joy are in his hands.”

Exupery himself knew how to feel responsible for his work. His favorite word was “TAME.” For him, it meant making friends, falling in love and falling in love, connecting people with each other, being faithful, always being ready to help.

When his friend crashed in the Cordillera, day after day he circled the mountain peaks, diving to the very bottom of the icy gorges.

- Lying in the snow, I saw you. But you didn’t notice me,” Guillaume, who was miraculously saved, later tells.

- How could you know that it was I who was looking for you?

– Who else would dare to fly so low in the mountains? – answered Guillaume. (Slide 4)

The idea for the first book was born during the flight. For a long time he could not come up with a name, but one day he caught his eye on a bag with the label “Mail to the South.” And his first book was called “Southern Postal”. “I’m just a worker... I carry spiritual food in mail bags to thirty thousand lovers,” this is what the hero of the book thinks. Then the books “Planet of People” and “Night Flight” were published. And although these were books about pilots, there were no special aviation details in the books. These are books about people who, during long flights, are left alone with themselves, reflect, dream, and acutely feel happiness - this is human communication. (Slide 5)

The stern pilot had a special tenderness for children. One day he taught a three-year-old boy how to blow soap bubbles. But when they hit the wall, the bubbles burst. The boy was crying. For several days Exupery walked around gloomy. Then I added a drop of glycerin to the soap foam. Now the bubbles were bouncing off the wall like balls, they became bigger and more beautiful. They say that during his life the writer came up with many useful things, but he was most proud of soap bubbles.

The Second has begun World War(1939). Exupery became a military pilot. Soon the fascist army defeated the French air force, and the French government betrayed its country and capitulated to Hitler. The writer had to emigrate to the USA, and there for a while he became a pilot in the American army. France was occupied by Germany. Antoine fights the Nazis as part of the American army. And the fairy tale “The Little Prince” comes out in the harsh year of 1943 in America.

After many injuries and accidents, he was declared unfit for duty, but returned to the plane. Wounded and crippled to the point that he could not pull on his overalls and climb into the cockpit without the help of his comrades, he could still fly the plane and shoot it. His comrades put him in the pilot's seat like a child, strapped him in, and he flew into battle because he couldn't help but fight the enemies he hated. In June 1944, he again met the enemy and died in an air battle. His body could not be found. (Slide 6)

Teacher: On the last day of July 1944, Exupery disappeared into the skies over the French Riviera. He went to the stars just as his hero the Little Prince left. In one of his letters to his mother, Exupery wrote: “I hate people who write for fun, looking for effects. You have to have something to say."

He, a romantic, a man who loved life, had something to say. And he wrote his fairy tale “The Little Prince”, a fairy tale about the most important thing - about life on planet Earth.

4. Presentation of exhibits. Main. hero. Drawings and crafts.

Pupils say how they wanted to portray the little prince

(Short, with golden hair, fragile, inquisitive, persistent.). Present a collective craft, talking about the stages of work and the distribution of responsibilities.

5. Presentation of exhibits. Prince's Planet. Drawing and crafts with baobabs.

What was the planet like?

It is the size of a house, two volcanoes, a rose. Rules: Get up in the morning, put yourself in order, immediately put your planet in order. It is necessary to break out the baobab trees so that they do not tear the planet into small pieces.

Teacher: What is meant by baobabs? (evil, danger)

In 1942-1943, evil was fascism. How prescient the writer was, calling for evil to be destroyed in time so that it does not tear the planet apart.

Prince's Planet. Rose.

What does a rose that lands on the planet represent? What is she like? (flirty, capricious, boastful, touchy, beautiful).

The little prince wants to learn something new, because he is very inquisitive. He goes to the planets. And we are with him.

6. Presentation of exhibits. Traveling through the planets.

Asteroid 325. Planet of the King. Kings look at the world in a simplified way: for them, all people are subjects. The most important thing for a king is that everyone obeys him. He would not tolerate disobedience. This was an absolute monarch.

The main conclusion that the little prince makes. " Power must be reasonable."

Teacher: Guys, why is it “more difficult to judge yourself than others?”

Asteroid 326. Planet of the ambitious. Vain people imagine that everyone admires them. They are deaf to everything except praise. "Admire me“- this is the motto in the life of an ambitious person. Here's a little dialogue:

– Are you really my enthusiastic admirer?

- But there is no one else on your planet!

- Well, give me pleasure, admire me anyway!

“I admire it, but what good does it do you?”

Teacher: Guys, did you like the ambitious guy? So the little prince didn’t like it, and he moved on.

Asteroid 327. This is the planet where the drunkard lived. The little prince felt very sorry for the drunkard. His conscience tormented him. He said: “I drink because I want to forget. Which I'm ashamed of.

The little prince and we conclude with him: “It’s hard to break out of the cycle of addiction”. Any dependence: on computer games, alcohol, drug use - scary. You need to avoid falling into the circle of addictions.

Asteroid 328. Planet of the business man. He is always counting something.

Teacher: “How many times in a business man’s life has he raised his head?”

He raised his head only three times in his life. The first time was when a cockchafer flew in from somewhere. He made a terrible noise and the business man made 4 addition errors. The second time was when I had an attack of rheumatism. And the third when meeting the prince. He repeats: “I am a serious person. I have no time to dream." I didn't see any benefit from the prince. And here our hero did not stay long. He was bored and uninterested with the business man.

Teacher. Guys, who remembers which planet the little prince liked? (lamplighter) So we’ll go there. We present the next exhibit.

Asteroid 329. The planet is very interesting. She turned out to be the smallest of all. It only held a lantern and a lamplighter. Our hero really likes the lamplighter. A man who is so true to his word. Only he wasn't funny, because he doesn't think only about himself. Every second he lights and extinguishes the lantern - the planet began to rotate faster, but the agreement remained. His motto is “live for others and be true to your word.”

Asteroid 330. Geographer's Planet. The geographer is too important a person; he has no time to walk around. He doesn't leave his office. But he hosts travelers and records their stories. And if one of them tells something interesting, the geographer makes inquiries and checks whether this traveler is a decent person.

Teacher And the Little Prince is again faced with the idea that the work of a geographer is meaningless. You and I saw that the inhabitants of all the planets, as it seemed to them, were very busy important matter. But the Little Prince does not find any meaning in their affairs

It was the geographer who advised us to visit planet Earth.

7. Presentation of exhibits. On the Earth.

“The Earth is not a simple planet! There are one hundred and eleven kings (including, of course, black ones), seven thousand geographers, nine hundred thousand businessmen, seven and a half million drunkards, three hundred and eleven million ambitious people, a total of about two billion adults.”

– Who did you meet on planet Earth? (snake, fox, other roses)

Meeting with a snake (dialogue plays out)

This first meeting already creates an idea of our planet.

“Where are the people? - The Little Prince finally spoke again. - It’s still lonely in the desert...

It’s also lonely among people,” the snake noted.”

Teacher. Why is it lonely among people?

Meeting with roses

Teacher: Why did I feel very, very unhappy when I saw other roses?(His beauty told him that there are no others like her in the entire universe. And here in front of him are five thousand exactly the same flowers in the garden alone! The baby’s sad tears are caused by the realization that this rose is not the only one.)

Meeting with the Fox

– Who appears in a moment of disappointment? (Fox)

– What does the fox ask the prince? (to tame)

– How do you understand the words “tamed”? (to create bonds, to be necessary)

– Do people immediately become attracted to each other? (needs time and patience)

– What secret did the Fox reveal to the prince? (only the heart is vigilant)

It was precisely in his heart that he felt that he missed his rose and it was time for him to return to it.

8. Presentation of exhibits. Scene “My Rose”

There are no number of roses in the whole world
Different beauty and aromas
But one is more beautiful than the others
Appeared from grain once upon a time.
And she bloomed with her beauty
Outshining all the flowers on the planet
I washed my face with dew in the morning
And kept beauty secrets.

Playing the guitar: the rose grows and opens, turning into a beautiful but proud flower (stretches, rises, admires itself)

A little prince:

I indulged the rose's whims,
Fulfilling all her wishes
And I didn’t understand at all
Why did I suffer?

Rose:

I wanted to say a lot
Only pride got in the way.
I am a flower, I can’t catch him,
If only I had legs, I would run!
And now just cry and suffer,
And whisper: “I would only come back”
And try to hold on to time
After all, flowers, alas, do not live long.

Playing on the guitar: the rose pulls its hands (leaves) to the side, then to the heart, then covers its face and squats down, as if crying)

A little prince:

Where is it, my flower, and what’s wrong with it?
Only now I realized that there is happiness,
But I was left alone in the distance
Only longing in the heart and bad weather .

Take care of everyone around you?
Well, if you forgot about them,
Remember that we need to keep the answer
For all those we have tamed.

9. Summing up.

Teacher. Yes, you can’t see the most important thing with your eyes. Only the heart is vigilant.

What is the seriousness of friendship?(to be able to be faithful, not to spare anything for a friend, to think about others)

What did the little prince leave as a souvenir for his friend, the pilot?(“You will have stars who know how to laugh, as if instead of stars I gave you a whole bunch of laughing bells)

Guys, Antoine de Saint-Exupery asks: “Don’t forget to console me. Hurry and write to me that he is back."

Here are letters for you - stars, write “What did the fairy tale teach you?”

Children write the answers on the stars (which were pre-attached to their chairs) and place them on the board on a heart-shaped poster with the heading “Only the heart is vigilant.”

Teacher. Dear adults! Want to know what worries your child? What is he interested in? What does he dream about? Read this book! Maybe this book will take you back to childhood and help you believe in miracles!

The writer believed in the brotherhood of people and hoped that mutual understanding would be established between people. The fairy tale talks about love, friendship, hard work and kindness, loyalty and responsibility for your world, region and people. The Little Prince embodies what each of us dreams of. People remember the writer and create monuments. The largest and most majestic monument to Saint-Exupéry and the Little Prince is located in France in the writer’s homeland - Place Bellecour. .Sculptural composition was created by Christian Gillabet in 2000, in honor of the writer’s 100th birthday. Antoine de Saint-Exupery is depicted sitting on top of a marble column more than 5 meters high in a pilot's helmet, next to him is the hero of the fairy tale -

"A little prince". He stands behind with his hand on the shoulder of his great creator. At the bottom of the column are inscribed quotes from The Little Prince. (Slide 7)

Interesting composition - “Reflections on the Little Prince” – located in St. Petersburg in the courtyard of the Faculty of Philology of St. Petersburg University. Sitting on a stack of books like on a throne allegorical image- a philosopher of life, a lover of truth - a Jester, and holds in his hands pages of wonderful and romantic story Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. The fragile figurine of the Little Prince perched a little further away. The author of the composition is Arsen Albertovich Avetisyan. The monument is made of bronze and granite, created in 2002.

People turn to this amazing fairy tale. It is no coincidence that we started with a song and will also end with a song. It was performed at Junior Eurovision by Katya Ryabova.

And Tanya will perform this song. The girls are dancing.

Song “The Little Prince” (minus performer Katya Ryabova)

...The fourth planet belonged to a business man. He was like that
so busy that he didn’t even raise his head when the Little Prince appeared.
“Good afternoon,” the Little Prince told him. - Your cigarette
went out.
- Three and two are five. Five and seven are twelve. Twelve yes
three - fifteen. Good afternoon. Fifteen and seven - twenty-two.
Twenty two and six - twenty eight. There is no time to strike a match.
Twenty six and five - thirty one. Ugh! Total, therefore, five hundred
one million six hundred twenty two thousand seven hundred thirty one.
- Five hundred million of what?
- A? Are you still here? Five hundred million... I don’t know what...
I have so much work! I am a serious person, I have no time for chatter! Two yes
five - seven...
- Five hundred million of what? - repeated the Little Prince: asking about
something, he would not calm down until he received an answer.

Business man raised his head.
- I’ve been living on this planet for fifty-four years now, and in all that time
I was only interrupted three times. For the first time, twenty-two years ago,
A cockchafer flew towards me from somewhere. He made a terrible noise, and then I
made four mistakes in addition. The second time, eleven years ago
ago, I had an attack of rheumatism. From a sedentary lifestyle. To me
no time to walk around. I'm a serious person. The third time... here it is! So,
therefore, five hundred million...
- Millions of what?
The business man realized that he had to answer, otherwise he would have no peace.
- Five hundred million of these little things that are sometimes visible in
air.
- What are these, flies?
- No, they’re so small and shiny.
- Bees?
- No. So small, golden, any lazy person looks at it
on them, and daydreams. And I'm a serious person. I have no time to dream.
- Eh, stars?
- Exactly. Stars.
- Five hundred million stars? What are you doing with them?
- Five hundred one million six hundred twenty two thousand seven hundred
thirty one. I am a serious person, I love accuracy.
- So what are you doing with all these stars?
- What am I doing?
- Yes.
- I'm not doing anything. I own them.
- Do you own the stars?
- Yes.
- But I have already seen the king who...
- Kings do not own anything. They only rule. This is completely different
case.
- Why do you need to own the stars?
- To be rich.
- Why be rich?
- To buy more new stars if someone discovers them.
“He talks almost like a drunkard,” thought the Little Prince.
And he began to ask further:
- How can you own the stars?
- Whose stars are they? - the businessman asked grumpily.
- Don't know. Draws.
- So, mine, because I was the first to think of it.
- Is that enough?
- Well, of course. If you find a diamond that has no owner,
that means he's yours. If you find an island that has no owner, he
is yours. If you are the first to come up with an idea, you take it
there's a patent on it: it's yours. I own the stars because no one before me
I didn’t think to take possession of them.
“That’s right,” said the Little Prince. - And what are you doing with them?
are you doing?
“I dispose of them,” answered the businessman. - I count them and recount them.
It is very difficult. But I'm a serious person.
However, this was not enough for the Little Prince.
- If I have a silk scarf, I can tie it around my neck
and take it with you,” he said. - If I have a flower, I can
pick it up and take it with you. But you can’t take away the stars!
- No, but I can put them in the bank.
- Like this?
- And so: I write on a piece of paper how many stars I have. Then I put this one
I put the piece of paper in the box and lock it with a key.
- That's all?
- That's enough.
“Funny!” thought the Little Prince. “And even poetic. But not
It's that serious."
What is serious and what is not serious - the Little Prince understood this
in their own way, not at all like adults.
“I have a flower,” he said, “and I water it every morning.” U
I have three volcanoes, I clean them every week. I clean all three, and
extinct too. You never know what can happen. And my volcanoes, and my
It is useful for the flower that I own them. And the stars have nothing from you
benefits...
The business man opened his mouth, but could not find anything to answer,
and the little prince went on.
“No, adults really are amazing people,” - innocently
he said to himself as he continued on his way.

We are inhabitants of the same planet, passengers of the same ship.

Everything I hold dear is at risk.

Antoine de Saint-Exupery

The purpose of the lesson: consider environmental and moral problems mentioned in the fairy tale

Lesson Objectives:

– identify philosophical meaning fairy tales;
– analyze the moral problems of human interaction with nature;
– based on local history material, identify general and local ones (for our village) ecological problems;
– propose ways to solve identified problems.

Equipment: globe, appliqué models of planets, memo for village residents, quotes, arrows indicating problems.

DURING THE CLASSES

Literature teacher.“A fairy tale is a lie, but there is a hint in it, good fellows lesson". “The Little Prince” is not as simple a fairy tale as it seems. After reading it carefully, you can learn a lot of useful information.
In previous lessons we talked about the fact that modern man feels like the master of the world - he strives to subjugate the nature of the Earth, and then other planets. He has succeeded in many ways: he exploits the bowels of the Earth, develops space, uses atomic energy, etc. This human activity often causes irreparable harm to nature. Having become carried away, man began to lose touch with nature, forgot that he himself was part of it and could not exist outside of nature.
Let's return to the fairy tale "The Little Prince". Its author said: “I don’t want my book to be read just for fun.” How do you understand these words?

Try to answer the following questions. – What do we call a work that affects serious problems , makes you think, analyze? (.)
Philosophical
– What is this fairy tale about?
– What is the author thinking about?

– What did you think about after reading the fairy tale? Biology teacher.

The plot of the fairy tale is based on the Little Prince's journey across the planets in search of a friend. Let's remember what planets he visited, who he met, what he saw?

(Students, using mock-ups, make reports about the planets described in the fairy tale, make assumptions about what the planet would look like if a person living there ruled it.)

Planet of the King. Every resident is a subject of the king, everything is done only by order of the king. P An ambitious person is an egoist and admires only himself. The planet is well-groomed only where he lives, and what is happening in other places does not interest him.

Planet of the Drunkard. A drunkard is a weak person and cannot free himself from addiction. Dirty, unkempt planet.

Planet of the Business Man. This man dreams of owning the entire Universe, but his planet is overgrown and wild.

Planet of the Lamplighter. The lamplighter works tirelessly, lights the way for other people, and thinks not only about himself. Clean, bright planet.

Geographer's Planet. The geographer has never been anywhere; if he knows anything, it is only by hearsay. On paper it is a good planet, but in reality it is neglected.

Literature teacher. Answer the following questions ( Working with text, telling children about the planet, a model of the planet is attached to the board.)

– What planet did the Little Prince come from?
– Why did he clean the volcanoes?
– Why didn’t he like baobabs?
– When was the fairy tale written? (1942–1943)
– What was happening in the world?
– What turned out to be as dangerous for our planet as baobabs were for the Little Prince? ( Fascism, aggression, weapons.)

Biology teacher (holding a globe).

Here she is flying, how small she is!
Here she is sad, delving into her thoughts,
Here she floats, blowing with unsteady coolness,
Still lives! Still trusts people.

(Attach a model of the Earth and illustrations to the board.)

Literature teacher. What did the Little Prince see when he came to Earth? ( Desert, rocks, roses, forests.) Why did he cry when he fell into the grass?

– What did you think about after reading the fairy tale? Let's imagine that the Little Prince arrived on Earth today. What would he see on Earth? What “baobab trees” threaten our Earth today?

Students name problems based on newspapers and other sources of information.

The teacher attaches arrows with the listed problems to the model of planet Earth.

Changing the Earth's climate as a result of the increased greenhouse effect.

Reduction of the ozone layer, formation of ozone holes.

    Air pollution, acid precipitation.

Pollution of the Ocean, burial of toxic and radioactive substances in it, entry of petroleum products into it, disruption of normal ecological connections between the Ocean and land due to the construction of dams on rivers. Depletion and pollution fresh water

Earth; imbalance between surface and groundwater. Radioactive contamination associated with the operation of nuclear devices and testing nuclear weapons

    and etc.

Accumulation of household garbage and industrial waste on the land surface.

    Desertification of territories.

    Extinction of species of organisms.

Deterioration in quality and reduction in agricultural land area.

Overpopulation of the Earth and relative demographic overstrain in certain areas.

Literature teacher.

All people have one planet,
And the winds have no boundaries on it,
How there are no limits to the flow of light
And the flights of wild birds.
And we need to take care of the planet
For those who will come after us,
And we mindlessly pour out poisons
And we poison our house without skimping.

– What did you think about after reading the fairy tale?

The ozone layer is getting thinner,
And he is the shield of life on earth.
Zones are already growing like ulcers,
Where death lurks in the smoky darkness.
Poisoned waters flow
Along river beds and underground,
The rains are falling from the sky
Sulfuric acid water.
The forests are losing their strength,
The delicate smell of linden leaves.
Lakes that have become graves
They bury schools of fish within themselves.

Literature teacher. Why does the Little Prince return to his planet? What is the wisdom of the fairy tale?
After meeting the Fox, the Little Prince returns to his planet, to his capricious rose, because he loves them. He realized that he was responsible for them.
You must be able to be faithful in love and friendship, you cannot be indifferent to what is happening in the world, you cannot be passive towards evil: everyone is responsible not only for their own destiny.
– What would the Little Prince tell us today, what would he advise?

– What did you think about after reading the fairy tale? Living on our land, in our village of Tulgan, we are responsible for what surrounds us. Let's see what problems you have identified in our village.

The problems listed by students are written on the board:

– garbage on the streets, despite the fact that there are trash bins nearby;
– garbage dumps near houses;
– garbage in the hallways;
– homeless animals (cats, dogs);
– pollution of water bodies with garbage.

Opposite each problem, proposed ways to solve it are written down.

– What did you think about after reading the fairy tale?

Take care of the Earth! Take care
Lark at the blue zenith,
A butterfly on a dodder stem,
There are sun glares on the path,
A crab playing on the stones,
Over the desert the shadow of the baobab tree,
A hawk soaring over a field
A clear month over the river calm.
Take care of the Earth! Take care
The miracle of the songs of cities and villages,
The darkness of the depths and the will of the heavens,
Old age's last joy,

A woman running to a kindergarten
Helpless singing of tenderness
And love has iron patience.
Take care of young shoots
At the green festival of nature,
Sky in stars, ocean and land
And a soul that believes in immortality -
All destinies are connected by threads.

Take care of the Earth! Take care
Time sharp turns,
The joy of inspiration and work,
Ancient kinship living properties,
Tree of hopes and worries,
Revelation of earth and heaven -
The sweetness of life, milk and bread.
Take care of kindness and pity,
So that she fights for the weak.
Take care of the future for the sake of...

(Children read their own poems about how to save the Earth.)

Literature teacher.“I know one planet, there lives a gentleman with a purple face. He had never smelled a flower in his life. I never looked at a star. “He never loved anyone,” says the Little Prince sadly. He calls: “Get up in the morning, wash your face, put yourself in order - and immediately put your planet in order.” Such simple and useful advice.
To change something in the world, you need to change yours inner world. If you love beautiful things, then support this beauty. To create a garden around yourself, you need to create a garden in your soul.

A biology teacher evaluates students' work.

Homework: write an essay on the topic: “What planet would I like to live on?”

In 1943, the work of interest to us was first published. Let's talk briefly about the background of its creation, and then carry out an analysis. “The Little Prince” is a work whose writing was inspired by one incident that happened to its author.

In 1935, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry was involved in a plane crash during a flight from Paris to Saigon. He ended up in a territory located in the Sahara, in its northeastern part. Memories of this accident and the invasion of the Nazis prompted the author to think about the responsibility of people for the Earth, about the fate of the world. In 1942, he wrote in his diary that he was worried about his generation, deprived spiritual content. People lead a herd existence. To return spiritual concerns to a person is the task that the writer set himself.

Who is the work dedicated to?

The story we are interested in is dedicated to Leon Vert, a friend of Antoine. This is important to note when conducting analysis. "The Little Prince" is a story in which everything is filled deep meaning, including dedication. After all, Leon Werth is a Jewish writer, journalist, critic who suffered persecution during the war. Such a dedication was not just a tribute to friendship, but also a bold challenge from the writer to anti-Semitism and Nazism. In difficult times, Exupery created his fairy tale. He fought against violence with words and illustrations, which he hand-created for his work.

Two worlds in the story

Two worlds are presented in this story - adults and children, as our analysis shows. “The Little Prince” is a work in which the division is not made according to age. For example, the pilot is an adult, but he managed to preserve his childish soul. The author divides people according to ideals and ideas. For adults, the most important things are their own affairs, ambition, wealth, power. But a child’s soul yearns for something else - friendship, mutual understanding, beauty, joy. Antithesis (children and adults) helps to reveal the main conflict of the work - the confrontation between two different systems of values: real and false, spiritual and material. It goes deeper further. Having left the planet, the little prince meets “strange adults” on his way, whom he is unable to understand.

Travel and dialogue

The composition is based on travel and dialogue. The big picture the existence of the loser moral values humanity recreates the meeting with the “adults” of the little prince.

The main character travels in the story from asteroid to asteroid. He visits, first of all, the nearest ones, where people live alone. Each asteroid has a number, like apartments in a modern multi-story building. These numbers hint at the separation of people who live in neighboring apartments, but seem to live on different planets. For the little prince, meeting the inhabitants of these asteroids becomes a lesson in loneliness.

Meeting with the King

On one of the asteroids lived a king who, like other kings, looked at the whole world in a very simplified way. For him, his subjects are all people. However, this king was tormented by the following question: “Who is to blame for the fact that his orders are impossible to fulfill?” The king taught the prince that it is more difficult to judge himself than others. Having mastered this, you can become truly wise. The power-hungry loves power, not subjects, and therefore is deprived of the latter.

The Prince Visits the Ambitious Planet

An ambitious man lived on another planet. But vain people are deaf to everything except praise. The ambitious man loves only fame, not the public, and therefore remains without the latter.

Drunkard's Planet

Let's continue the analysis. The little prince ends up on the third planet. His next meeting is with a drunkard, who thinks intently about himself and ends up completely confused. This man is ashamed of his drinking. However, he drinks in order to forget about his conscience.

Business man

The business man owned the fourth planet. As an analysis of the fairy tale “The Little Prince” shows, the meaning of his life was that one should find something that does not have an owner and appropriate it. A business man counts wealth that is not his: he who saves only for himself might as well count the stars. The little prince cannot understand the logic by which adults live. He concludes that it is good for his flower and the volcanoes that he owns them. But the stars have no benefit from such possession.

Lamplighter

And only on the fifth planet main character finds someone he wants to be friends with. This is a lamplighter who would be despised by everyone, because he thinks not only about himself. However, his planet is tiny. There's no room for two here. The lamplighter works in vain because he does not know for whom.

Meeting with a geographer

The geographer, who writes thick books, lived on the sixth planet, which was created in his story by Exupery ("The Little Prince"). The analysis of the work would be incomplete if we did not say a few words about it. This is a scientist, and beauty is ephemeral for him. Nobody needs scientific works. Without love for a person, it turns out, everything is meaningless - honor, power, labor, science, conscience, and capital. The little prince also leaves this planet. The analysis of the work continues with a description of our planet.

The Little Prince on Earth

The last place the prince visited was a strange Earth. When he arrives here, the title character of Exupery's story "The Little Prince" feels even more lonely. The analysis of a work when describing it should be more detailed than when describing other planets. After all, the author Special attention in the story he focuses specifically on the Earth. He notices that this planet is not home at all, it is “salty”, “all in needles” and “completely dry”. It's uncomfortable to live there. Its definition is given through images that seemed strange to the little prince. The boy notes that this planet is not simple. It is ruled by 111 kings, there are 7 thousand geographers, 900 thousand businessmen, 7.5 million drunkards, 311 million ambitious people.

The protagonist's journey continues in the following sections. He meets, in particular, with the switchman directing the train, but people do not know where they are going. The boy then sees a merchant selling thirst pills.

Among the people living here, the little prince feels lonely. Analyzing life on Earth, he notes that there are so many people on it that they cannot feel like one whole. Millions remain strangers to each other. What do they live for? There are a lot of people rushing on fast trains - why? People are not connected by pills or fast trains. And the planet will not become a home without this.

Friendship with Fox

After analyzing Exupery's "The Little Prince", we found out that the boy is bored on Earth. And Fox, another hero of the work, has a boring life. Both of them are looking for a friend. The fox knows how to find him: you need to tame someone, that is, create bonds. And the main character understands that there are no stores where you can buy a friend.

The author describes the life before meeting the boy, which was led by the Fox from the story “The Little Prince”. allows us to note that before this meeting he was only fighting for his existence: he hunted chickens, and hunters hunted him. The fox, having tamed, broke out of the circle of defense and attack, fear and hunger. It is to this hero that the formula “only the heart is vigilant” belongs. Love can be transferred to many other things. Having made friends with the main character, the Fox will fall in love with everything else in the world. The close in his mind is connected with the distant.

Pilot in the desert

It is easy to imagine a planet in habitable places as a home. However, in order to understand what home is, you need to be in the desert. This is precisely what the analysis of Exupery’s “The Little Prince” suggests. In the desert, the main character met a pilot, with whom he later became friends. The pilot ended up here not only because of a malfunction of the plane. He has been enchanted by the desert all his life. The name of this desert is loneliness. The pilot understands an important secret: life has meaning when there is someone to die for. The desert is a place in which a person feels a thirst for communication and thinks about the meaning of existence. It reminds us that man’s home is the Earth.

What did the author want to tell us?

The author wants to say that people have forgotten one simple truth: they are responsible for their planet, as well as for those they have tamed. If we all understood this, there would probably be no wars or economic problems. But people are very often blind, do not listen to their own hearts, leave their home, seeking happiness far from their family and friends. Antoine de Saint-Exupéry did not write his fairy tale “The Little Prince” for fun. The analysis of the work carried out in this article, we hope, has convinced you of this. The writer appeals to all of us, urging us to take a close look at those who surround us. After all, these are our friends. They must be protected, according to Antoine de Saint-Exupéry (“The Little Prince”). Let's finish the analysis of the work here. We invite readers to reflect on this story for themselves and continue the analysis with their own observations.
