Set of symbols on the keyboard. Special, beautiful characters that are not on the keyboard

Hello again today. I’ll say right away that I just recorded a video “7 Computer life hacks for every day” where the first life hack is the material of this article. The video itself can be viewed on YouTube on my channel https://youtu.be/5ilG0Vnhkes or on the same website

Those who have not yet switched to Mac and use Windows probably know these key combinations and often use them, as it significantly speeds up work on the computer.

We use these keyboard shortcuts quite often:

CTRL + C - Copies the selected object to the Windows clipboard
Father-in-law, if some text file or folder is selected by pressing CTRL + C, we will copy what was selected to the clipboard, or in simple language to memory and keep it there until we remember something else...

CTRL + V - is responsible for pasting the contents of the Windows clipboard into the current location (for example, where the cursor is) of the program you are working with
You can try selecting the text, then press CTRL + C, move the cursor to another location and type CTRL + V Try...

CTRL + X - deletes the selected object and places it on the Windows clipboard

PrtScr - creates and places a graphical copy of the screen on the Windows clipboard

Alt + PrtScr - does not copy the entire screen, but only the active window

CTRL + Z - undo previous operation

CTRL + N - creates a new document

Win - Opens the Start menu. This button looks something like this on the keyboard:

Win + D - minimizes all active windows

CTRL + Shift + Left; CTRL + Shift + Right - selects text by word.

CTRL+click - select several objects in random order

Alt + Space - Call up the window system menu

ALT + F4 - Close the window or exit the program

CTRL + F4 - Close the current window in the program

SHIFT+DELETE - Delete the selected file without placing it in the trash

F1 - Display help
F2 - Rename selected file
F3 - Open file search window
F5 - Refresh

BACKSPACE - Go to a higher level section

CTRL + SHIFT + ESC - Call the “Task Manager” (you can also call it with the combination CTRL + ALT + DELETE, a list will appear from which you can select it)

ALT + Left Arrow - Step Back in File Explorer

ALT + Right Arrow - Step forward in File Explorer

I knew these keyboard shortcuts and used them quite often, but what became a discovery was the combination of the Alt key and the numeric keypad.

In other words, all these hearts, flowers, arrows and other symbols that we do not see on the keyboard, although they are there, are obtained and printed with a simple key combination Alt + (a certain digital code).

Let's try holding Alt then 1 and releasing Alt. ☺ This is the symbol we got))). And if Alt + 2... ☻ - great. this is Alt+3.

Below is part of the table with these combinations. Here she is:
Alt + 1 = ☺ Alt + 2 = ☻ Alt + 3 =
Alt + 4 = ♦ Alt + 5 = ♣ Alt + 6 = ♠
Alt + 7 = Alt + 8 = ◘ Alt + 9 = ○

Alt + 0171 = " Alt + 0187 = " Alt + 0177 = ±

Well, for those who don’t want to bother with key combinations, I’ll just post the symbols ready for insertion. We copy the symbol and paste, for example, to do beautiful name in social networks, or anywhere else

I hope everything is clear.. Don’t forget to post it on the wall so as not to lose it.

Or to view hidden text or Please or to view hidden text there are additional commands to enter Please or to view hidden text , inaccessible when using conventional Please or to view hidden text . These commands are called Alt codes and are designated as “Alt+X”, where “X” is the number in decimal system Reckoning. To write the desired character, hold down the Alt key and enter the number X without releasing it:

sitenash.ru

For operating system Please or to view hidden text characters are entered by pressing the button Please or to view hidden text (assigned in the settings) and entering the code of the required character.

Initially in the operating system Please or to view hidden text the user could hold down the Alt key and enter a number on the keyboard. After entering the number Please or to view hidden text would turn this team right into Please or to view hidden text -symbol code and drew the corresponding symbol on Please or to view hidden text . For systems using English language, used Please or to view hidden text . For most other systems using the Latin alphabet, use Please or to view hidden text . Full list see the article “ Please or to view hidden text »

These codes became so well known that Please or to view hidden text was forced into the new operating system Please or to view hidden text use Please or to view hidden text and similar international sets in order to maintain the ability to use Alt codes. By holding Alt and typing three digits (the first is not zero), you can translate a character from Please or to view hidden text to the corresponding symbol in the Windows page code. By first typing the leading 0 (zero) and then the number, you can write the character from Please or to view hidden text .

For example, Alt+161 produces “í” (the Latin letter i with a dot on top), which is in the 161st position in CP437 and CP850. Alt+0161 gives the symbol "¡" (inverted Exclamation point), which is at position 161 in Windows-1252.

When Windows switches to Please or to view hidden text Alt symbols have been preserved: leading 0 codes have become even more popular. There is also another way: to enable it, the user must install or create a key Please or to view hidden text HKCU\Control Panel\Input Method\EnableHexNumpad with type REG_SZ and value 1 and restart the computer. After this you can use the third method:

  • Hold down the Alt key. Press the "+" key on the numeric keypad.
  • While holding Alt, enter a hexadecimal number using the numeric keypad for numbers 0-9 and regular keys to enter characters a-f. For example, Alt+11b will produce ě (“e” with “lid”).

First: I will no longer write directly on the site, that is, online. Well, what's up, you write and write, I accidentally pressed the wrong button (I don't even know what I pressed) and the browser showed the previous page, without breathing I move forward - and nothing. The editor opens, but is already empty. And everything from the beginning. Now I'm writing in Notepad++. For anyone who doesn’t have this yet, I recommend finding and downloading it.
Second: What I wrote and what disappeared.

I'm tired of rummaging around on the internet looking for codes for different symbols. Well, for example, I want to enter French quotes in Photoshop - Christmas trees. “Well, here they are.” Maybe there is a way to find them in Photoshop, but I’m not a designer and I use Photoshop once a month. But I know that any character can be entered using ALT input. This is when you hold down the ALT button and press numbers on the numeric keypad (this is the block of numbers on the right, under NumLock). Then you throw ALT, and the desired symbol appears at the cursor location. And then I decided to post these codes here. On that website. I’ll make a link from the main page and when necessary, open the site, click on the link and here are the codes.
I'll start with these very quotes:
alt+0171 — “(quotes open)
alt+0187 — "(closed quotes)

You must enter all four digits, including zero.
