Draw a small predatory kitten. How to draw a cat with pencil or paints

How to draw a kitten with a simple pencil. Master class on drawing a small and ordinary kitten.

You will need a simple HB pencil and colored pencils to color the cartoon kitten.

On paper, draw an oval for the face and a smaller, elongated oval for the kitten’s body.

We give the shape to the body, on the right side it resembles the shape of a vase, and on the lower left we draw a small triangle - a tail.

On the head we draw two large triangles - the kitten’s ears and draw the paws on the body.

Now let's take the kitten's face. We give volume to the ears, draw lines from the edge of the ear to the head on the left side. And on 2/3 of the muzzle we draw an oval and immediately mark the kitten’s smile at the bottom.

We draw the kitten's eyes, nose and mustache.

Now you can color the kitten, you will need colored pencils for this: brown, orange, blue and black. To give volume to a kitten orange highlight the dark areas on the neck and along the edges of the head. And in black we highlight the outline of the eye and the pupil.

And now, drawing an ordinary kitten with a simple pencil will not be so difficult. We start with the oval of the head and torso.

Let's prepare a preliminary linear drawing, outline all parts of the kitten: head, paws, ears, tail.

Let's work out the entire contour with a small stroke making the fur, first outline the kitten's face and begin to detail the paws, ears, and make the main stripes on the head.

We draw the eyes, leaving small white stripes on the pupils - highlights, for the realism of the drawing. And we move on to preliminary shading of the head and body, leaving light areas and highlighting darker areas.

The paws and the bottom of the muzzle remain unshaded. Since the kitten is striped, we highlight the stripes on the fur. We make a shadow from the paws and tail.

We re-shade, deepening the tones. We highlight the eyes, use the edge of the elastic to make antennae, since they are white, you will have to work a little with an elastic band and erase them carefully.

And at the final stage we deepen the darkest areas with small strokes and the kitten is ready.

Let's say you're an avid cat fan. You will be touched by these delightful creatures, their grace and independence. You can spend hours enjoying their games, jumping, forgive them your scratched hands, and their purring is better than any music for your ears. Like all passionate people, you cannot ignore objects with images of your pets. And one day, looking at the next pictures in which funny cats, drawn in pencil, are fooling around or sleeping, you suddenly think: why don’t you try to create something similar yourself?

You begin to look closely at the furry models, notice their habits, movements, (oh, sorry, faces). Finally, you buy an album, pencils and an eraser to try your hand at the artistic field. And then the first obstacle arises. How to draw a cat if he constantly runs away from you and does not want to pose calmly? You can start by practicing on a sleeping animal.

If this is your first experience visual arts, then first understand one very simple idea: almost all objects and most living beings in this world can be represented in the form of circles, rectangles and triangles. Such knowledge greatly simplifies the task of “How to draw a cat step by step.”

Look at your pet from the back. Now mentally divide it into several circles. Happened? Consolidate the experience gained. Observe the animal, constantly drawing imaginary parts of its body.

As soon as you feel that you can do this without difficulty, pick up a pencil and open the album. Think about how to draw a cat. Will he sit, lie down or move? Then feel free to get to work.

First of all, outline the outline. Usually these are three circles: the head, the middle part of the body and the back. For now we draw the legs in the form of curves. You can immediately draw a tail.

Then we gradually fill the contour with details. We draw ears. We mark a nose on the muzzle. It will serve as a kind of guide to depict the eyes and mouth. Try to give the muzzle the desired expression.

Let's start with the paws. It’s okay if at first they look like sausages, then you’ll fix it. Smoothly outline the contours of the body.

When you are finished with the sketch, carefully study the resulting sketch. You may want to make changes. We are now just learning how to draw a cat. And learning is not complete without mistakes.

A sketch is needed so that you can confidently draw the main lines of the drawing onto paper. Minor strokes are then erased with an eraser. The image is detailed. A mustache is added to the cat, and toes appear on its paws. Or maybe you want to draw some playful bangs, eyebrows, or a cat from Cheshire - that’s a task for the next lesson.

The finished one is colored with paints or felt-tip pens. Go ahead, don't be afraid of bold experiments. Even if your first drawing is not perfect, don’t give up your studies. Each time you will be more confident in drawing lines on paper, conveying the movements and habits of your pet.

Cats are one of the cutest creatures on our planet :) They are loved even if they just lie on the couch all day and do nothing. Today we will figure out how to draw cats for children.

The examples for drawing will be varied, cats for very young children, cats for children about eight years old and cats for older children. And adults sometimes draw the same cats, because they look beautiful despite the simplicity of the drawing :)

There are a lot of cats in this lesson, so we have made two contents for you.

Drawing a cat for children 7 years old

This cat can be drawn by 7-8 summer child. It is much easier to draw than our other examples.

Stage 1
Let's start drawing from the head. Draw a head similar to Batman's head :) An oval with ears.

Stage 2
Draw the face with simple lines. Closed satisfied eyes, nose and mouth. Also, draw the ears with sharp lines, which will indicate the fur.

Stage 3
At the third stage, we draw long antennae and draw the front legs.

Stage 4
Now we draw the second part of the body. Since this children's drawing cats, then we don’t need perfect proportions. We draw the back, paws and, accordingly, the tail.

Stage 5
We admire the cat we have made :) Color it, for example, yellow, blue or green :)

Learn to draw a sitting cat

This example is suitable for an 8 year old child. He will surely cope with such a tiger :)
In this example, our tailed one will have an unusual coloring; it will be a tiger-cat!

Stage 1
At the first stage, we will analyze two simple steps at once :)
First we draw an oval. Did you draw it? Great! Now at the bottom of the oval you need to draw the face of our cat.

Stage 2
We draw the ears and make a stroke inside them with sharp lines. As mentioned earlier, we are drawing a tiger cat :) Therefore, we need to draw three lines on three different sides of the face.

On the left and right side the lines will be the same, but on the upper side the lines will be a little longer.

Stage 3
In the second step, we have finished drawing the head and now we begin to draw the body of our sitting tiger. We draw the chest, front leg and back.

Stage 4
Now we draw the second front paw; some part of this paw is overlapped by the first paw, since it is closer to us.

Draw the hind leg. The back paw is much more difficult to draw than it looks, so don't press too hard on your pencil. You may have to wash out the not-so-pretty foot and redraw it.

Stage 5
At the fifth stage, we draw stripes on the paws and thicker stripes on the back. Draw a tail and make stripes on it.

Stage 6
Coloring:3

It is not necessary to draw it to look like a tiger; if you erase all the stripes and choose a different color, you will get a regular cat, not a tiger.

An example of drawing a cat for a 9 year old child

At first glance, this cat seems very complex and it may seem that it would be difficult for a child to draw it, but this is not at all the case. Thanks to step by step examples you will realize that drawing it is very simple. Let's get started!

Stage 1
As you may have noticed in the picture above, our cat is in such a position that her front paws are standing, but at the same time she is sitting on hind legs. That is why her figure turns out to be elongated and that is why we draw three circles that are connected by lines.

The topmost circle must be divided as shown in the figure. This is needed for the future muzzle. Don't press too hard on the pencil because most of the lines are auxiliary and will be erased.

Stage 2
At the second stage, we draw the ears and draw the muzzle. We connect two circles with two lines to make a neck. We also sketch out the tail and left paw of the cat.

Stage 3
The third is the most difficult stage. Here we draw the paws and tail. It's hard to describe how to draw paws and a tail correctly, so just look at the picture below and try to draw something similar.

Draw the muzzle and connect the lower part of the body and the upper part with lines.

Stage 4
The simplest and most enjoyable stage :) Draw antennae and stripes on the paws.

Stage 5
At the last stage, we erase all our auxiliary lines and our cat is ready.

If you want, you can paint it in your favorite color;)

Drawing a sleeping cat

How to draw a sleeping cat for children? Very simple! It is drawn in just 6 steps and can be completed by a child of about 9 years old. Let's begin!

Stage 1
In the first step of our second cat in the cat drawing lesson for kids, we draw a circle :) This will be the cat's head. Then we divide the circle in half vertically and slightly below the center horizontally.

Stage 2
Let's detail our circle. Draw the eyes, nose and mouth. In our example, the eyes are closed with pleasure:3 But you can draw them open, although if you remember that we are drawing a sleeping cat, then open eyes would be inappropriate here.

Stage 3
Draw the face. Try to draw it symmetrical, and draw ruffled fur at the top center.

Stage 4
Now is one of the most difficult stages, but you will definitely cope!

You need to draw a smooth line of the body, which will imperceptibly flow into the tail. The line must necessarily rise above our cat’s head, and then smoothly become lower and turn into a tail.

Stage 5
We are finishing the finishing touches. Draw one front paw; it will be slightly visible behind the tail. We draw a mustache, the tip of the tail and, in some places, folds.

Stage 6
Erase the auxiliary lines and, if desired, color the sleeping cat.

How to draw a cute cat for children?

This cat is not the easiest cat for a child to draw, and it doesn’t look much like a cat, but this creature is very cute. This cat looks a little like an anime cat, huge eyes and unusual shape bodies.

Stage 1
Draw a circle, divide it vertically in the center and vertically just below the center. Under this circle we draw an oval, a little smaller in size.

Stage 2
The second stage is more difficult than the first; you need to detail the head. Draw the ears and draw a large circle with lines that will make the head.

Stage 3
Let's draw huge eyes! How bigger eyes, the cuter the cat will turn out: 3 Draw eyebrows and mouth. In our example, we did not draw the nose, but if you really want to draw it, then you, of course, can do it.

Stage 4
The fourth is not a very difficult stage. Let's draw the two front legs, try to draw them not too thin, because we will have a plump cat.

Stage 5
Draw the body of the cat a little wider than the previously outlined oval and add a tail.

Stage 6
Well, at the last stage, we erase all the auxiliary lines and, if desired, color our cute cat.

Now we have a lesson in drawing a cute little kitten, or how to draw a sleeping, fluffy, white, cute kitten with a pencil step by step.

Here is our original.

We need to decide on the direction of the head, so we draw a circle and guidelines showing the middle of the head and the location of the eyes. We divide each half of the straight line (where the eyes should be located) into three parts. And with another small straight line on the guide (central) we show the location of the nose. We do all this by barely pressing on the pencil, so that later we can easily erase these lines.

Draw the shape of the kitten's head.

Draw the kitten's body. I start drawing the back, then the placement of the paw under the kitten's head, the tail and the hip.

Now we erase the contours and make an imitation of fur short lines of different lengths and directions, apply shadows on the nose and around it, a little around the eyes.

We do the same with the back and tail, additionally making shadows on the muzzle and under the head. I drew lines on the head, which I then blended and erased some of them with an eraser, so they won’t be visible. I will do the same with other areas.

On at this stage I decided to sharpen it anyway soft pencil and made the contours of the fur bold, darkening the ear areas. Since this drawing is not for exhibition, you can use your finger for shading (although this is not recommended because it leaves marks and the drawing looks dirty), but for the rough version it is possible. Look at the original, now it is important to convey the shadows, catch where they are. So, let's start with the area near the head (we'll deal with the head itself later), the shadow should be on the paw and on the body, do shading and shading. There are transitions; you can additionally apply shading to create darker areas, and use an eraser for light areas. Our tail is dark and the area at the junction of the leg and tail (I hope you understand where it is) also has a dark shade, and the thigh itself is light on top, the light falls on it. Therefore, we shade just above the tail on the thigh and rub it, covering the entire thigh. We take an eraser and erase with the edge where the light area should be, and also a little lower, as you make strokes, and use the eraser to make it look like wool. If you open a larger picture, you will see them. In general, the principle is the same as we or. Then with a pencil we darken the area where the tail and paw meet. Don't forget about the butt area, it is also darkened. Now the head. Blend the lines, erase the shadows from the frontal area, a little under the eyes. Apply additional shadows to the nose, muzzle, mouth, and highlight the eyebrows. This is a simple approach to drawing, refer to the original photograph, if you want, make the kitten even more detailed, look at the shadows. I settled on this option, a minimum of time spent and an acceptable result. Now we know how to draw a kitten.

I don’t know about you, but this cat reminds me of a situation from a cartoon when grandma’s old cat turned over a cup of sour cream, which it then ate thoroughly. And now he looks at the hostess with such innocent eyes.
