Arts and crafts lesson on the theme "Magic Hat". Step-by-step master class with photos for children 5-8 years old.

Description: This summary DPI classes (master classes) can be useful not only for educators senior group in kindergarten, but also for teachers of 1-2 grades of school and for teachers additional education. If desired, this lesson can be conducted individually (teacher - student, mother - child).
This material is designed for children aged 5 to 8 years.
Dudnikova Ekaterina Vladimirovna. Teacher of additional education (drawing lessons) in Children's club"First steps" of the city of St. Petersburg.
Integration educational areas: cognition, communication, socialization, artistic creativity.
Target: Repeat the theme of drawing with gouache and consolidate it in the form of the work “Magic Hat”.
Tasks:
1. To form children’s ideas about the appearance of a hat and the appearance of a magician.
2. Improve your gouache skills.
3. Acquaintance with the meaning of the word “Ornament”, with its types.
3. Educational: develop fine motor skills, spatial thinking, imagination and associative thinking.
4. Educational: to form neatness and careful attitude to materials, cultivate perseverance and accuracy. To develop artistic taste, to cultivate a caring attitude towards nature and animals.
5. Reflection during and at the end of the lesson: discussion of the result, your mood when decorating the hat, referring to the memories of students who have ever been to the circus and how different the hats will turn out. Creating a joyful atmosphere in the lesson, thanks to the artistry of the teacher (facial expressions, behavior, appearance).

Necessary materials: hat stencil (A4 or A3 format), square of white or gray cardboard, pencil and eraser, gouache, palette, brushes (Squirrel or Pony - numbers 1, 5 and 7, number 2 or 3 is also possible), glass of water, satin tape 25 - 35 centimeters long, children's scissors, glue, plasticine, board for plasticine.

Stages of work:
1. After all students put on aprons, sit at their easels (tables) and sign their work:
"The first of April is coming soon.
A time of joy and fun.
Time for laughter and smiles.
Time for funny postcards.
And today in class.
We'll get by without any mistakes.
And then we'll see together
What do we pull out of the hat?
- Or whom,
- add and ask an introductory question, - "Have any of you guys ever been to the circus?"
Now we announce the topic of the lesson - “One of the funniest and most famous tricks is the one in which the magician pulls a rabbit out of a hat, and today we will repeat it.
A mandatory attribute of this trick is a tall hat in the shape of a cylinder - it is called “Shapoklyak”, translated from French as a slap, a blow with the palm of the hand.” And, of course, it is very important how the magician himself is dressed - for example, he can be in a tailcoat, the main thing is that the costume is bright and joyful or mysterious and elegant

2. Let's start with the hat - you need to erase two stripes on it (you can erase any stripes except the one drawn below, limiting the widest part to an oval). This part of the hat is called the brim. Now you need to draw another stripe - it should be thinner than the rest.

3. Introductory question - "Did you know about the Lucky Tassel Rule?
Rule "Happy Tassel" - “To keep the brush happy, you need to dip it in water and wipe it three times on the edge of the glass (the main thing is not to touch the water so that the brush doesn’t pick it up again). Then we check the brush with the tip of our finger, and if there is no drop left on the finger, that means , our brush is happy. When there is too much water, smudges appear when painting, as if the brush is crying.". The main thing is to use the right words - for slightly younger children, you could say - "Magic Brush Rule", but when saying exactly why we are doing this, we need to use a soft form - sad, sorrowful, not to say unhappy, angry or offended.
4. Before making the bow, you need to trim the edges of the ribbon at 45 degree angles.

Ears: put a square of white cardboard together, cut out the ears, color them gray(black + white, more white). After thoroughly washing the brush, mix red and white colors and paint the middle of the ears with the resulting shade of pink.

5. We ask students about their favorite colors (two colors - for example, purple and green). Now we dip a large brush into water, wipe it three times on a glass, mix white and purple on the palette, paint the oval with this color and, without adding white, any of the stripes. We experiment, adding a little more white gouache each time than before - coloring the remaining stripes.

6. We decorate the stripes with an ornament/pattern - these can be dots, various lines - wavy, zigzags, spirals, different geometric shapes - triangles, squares, ovals. You can draw flowers, leaves - the main thing is that the patterns are simple (for example: flowers stylized in circles - simplified in shape). You definitely need to tell us what an ornament is - "An ornament is a pictorial, graphic or sculptural decoration made from combinations of geometric, plant or animal elements. Today we will draw a floral and geometric pattern." It is very good if the pattern is repeated on the strip - for example: a large circle, a small one, a large one, a small one, and so on.

Check whether the oval/brim of the hat is dry (check with the tip index finger). If it's dry, then dark color Using a medium brush, draw a horizontal stripe in the middle of the oval (it should be of medium length, not to the edges, and not too thin).

7. Turn the hat over so that the oval is at the top, apply glue to the upper part of the oval (where the ears will be) or you can apply glue to the lower part of the ears (narrower). We glue the ears so that they look in different directions and, at the same time, so that their lower part is on the strip. Press for 10-15 seconds, then glue the bow, pressing a little longer than the ears (the bow should cover the bottom of the ears).

Notes:

1. This lesson does not have to be held in connection with April 1, you can conduct it as a neutral topic or conduct it in connection with the arrival of the circus (if it is possible to take students to the circus before the lesson, the lesson will become reinforcing, and the work will turn out to be more authentic and vibrant).
2. During the lesson, we remind you that when you draw, the apron should lie on your knees so that the paint does not get on your clothes, you cannot wipe your eyes with your hands (the likelihood that they will remain clean from paint/plasticine during the drawing/sculpting process is quite small) and that You must not forget about posture (keep your back straight). You can also talk about the second and third rules "Happy Tassel".
"Rule 2 of the Lucky Brush": When we paint, there should be a lot of paint and a little water on the brush (so that you paint not with water, tightly, and not like with watercolors, but even with a completely dry brush you won’t be able to paint something evenly or paint over it evenly), and "3rd Rule of the Lucky Brush": Brush loves silence (so that silence is maintained in the lesson, and students learn to raise their hands (we explain that in the opposite case, they can listen to something important, we learn to respect not only the teacher, but also other students - do not interrupt each other ).
3. If you are not confident in the drawing speed of your students (age, skills, abilities), then it is better to draw fewer stripes or draw patterns/ornaments only on large stripes. You can also not wash the stripes and cut out the ears from gray cardboard, and make the bows yourself in advance. If you have more than 45 minutes for the lesson and you have a good assessment of their drawing skills and abilities (as well as the speed of work), then you can make some ornaments/patterns from plasticine. You can also make it from plasticine inner part rabbit ears.

3. This master class is designed for 1-1.5 hours - if you want the student to do everything on his own as much as possible. For example: you can draw a hat, and they will cut it out and draw the ears themselves.
My students really liked the bows - it's great if you have different colored ribbons then the students can choose (I had white, pink and green ribbon).
4. Point out to students that they need to press/hold the ears and bow longer for them to stick. Also make sure that the plasticine parts are pressed against the hat (otherwise they will fall off).

April 1st can truly be the most fun day of the year if you prepare for it properly. And, of course, for little creativity lovers, one of the main stages of preparation will be the creation of souvenirs and fun crafts that will help lift their spirits and create a festive atmosphere.

Which ones can you make with your own hands? For children, it is not even the result of the work that is important, but the process itself. Therefore, in this case, you need to choose crafts that will be interesting and fun to make.

DIY sunshine for April 1st

For example, to decorate a room or room in a kindergarten, you can make a bright April sun. We stock up on paints in sunny shades: yellow, orange, red. Using a thick brush, apply paint liberally to your palms. We put a print on a sheet of paper.

On a separate sheet of paper we draw a circle with the same paints. When it dries, draw a face on it: eyes and a smile.

Cut out the handprints and circle and glue them to form a sun.

This sunshine will warm anyone!

Smiling sun on a stick for April 1

A very cute spring craft for April 1st - a sun made of paper and thread on a stick. To make it, cut out a circle from yellow cardboard. We make holes along the edges of the circle.

Cut the floss threads. We insert them into the holes and bandage them. The more threads we insert, the larger the craft will be.

Using plasticine, we make a face on a cardboard base.

Cut out a yellow circle from cardboard and fix the craft on a stick, gluing it between the circles. We made a very fun April Fool's craft!

Another great craft for April 1st will be a paper clown. Fold the red strip of paper into an accordion shape. We glue one end of it.

Using plasticine, thread, beads and toy eyes, we create the face of a clown.

We make an accordion suit out of paper. Glue the bead buttons.

Glue the handles from accordion-folded paper.

We make a cap out of paper. Our clown craft is ready! Let him remind us of how important it is to smile and be happy more often!

Cheerful fireworks on a foil stick

What could be more fun than bright festive fireworks? To make it, take colored foil and cut it into fringes.

Take a plastic cocktail stick and wrap it in cut foil.

We fix the foil on the stick with glue and tape.

Straighten the foil.

Paper pendant for kindergarten “Laughing Children”

You can use ordinary colored paper to make a funny “laughing children” pendant for April 1st. To do this, cut out pairs of people from colored paper.

Cut out a head from white paper. Draw eyes, nose and mouth. We make several such preparations.

From green paper or cardboard we cut out the base of the craft - a circle. We glue figures of people with faces around the circumference. We decorate the craft with flowers and greenery.

Such ideas will help not only organize fun party, but also have fun on the eve of it. Let the day of laughter and humor be fun!
