The oil contains a huge amount of useful substances. With constant use of the product in food, unique components help improve the health of the body and achieve the desired slimness. This happens due to:

  • The oil contains a large amount of polyunsaturated fatty acids. These are Omega-3 and Omega-6, known to everyone. According to research, they speed up metabolism, which promotes weight loss.
  • The oil has an excellent effect on digestion and bowel function, which allows for regular, gentle bowel movements.
  • Slags and toxic waste products are evacuated from the body quickly and regularly.
  • Dissolution of cholesterol deposits in blood vessels (which even young people have if they have an unhealthy diet), which leads to excess weight.

Features of taking oil

The oil can be consumed either in bottles (liquid) or in capsules. They are equivalent in taste and quality; the choice is made based on your own preferences.

Oil in liquid form

It can be used directly in its pure form, taken with spoons, or seasoned with it in dishes. In cooking it is used only cold. Heat treatment (frying, heating) destroys the beneficial qualities of the product. You need to drink the oil with cool water.

The oil contains quite a lot of fatty acids, so you should not abuse other dishes that also contain them (fish, seafood, soy, walnuts, other vegetable oils).

The daily permissible dose of these acids is 2.5 mg and by taking the oil, their main need will be satisfied.

An open bottle of oil can be stored for no more than a month. And the shelf life of unopened containers is no more than eight months. Be sure to pay attention to this. Otherwise, you can end up with rancid and completely unhealthy oil. Do not store flaxseed oil (whether in bottles or capsules) in a warm place or in direct sunlight.


Oil in capsules

This method of administration is used when you don’t want to bother with preparing dishes, and also when taste intolerance does not allow you to use the oil in its pure form.

Taking capsules involves swallowing the gelatin capsule without chewing. It's quite convenient and simple. The dosage is indicated on the packaging. The pharmacy has a wide selection of such dietary supplements.

“Diet” with flaxseed oil

Actually, using flaxseed oil in its natural form is not a diet. This is only a supplement to the diet, which, in turn, cannot consist of harmful foods. Oil is not a panacea, but it is a good way to remove harmful substances from the body, moderate appetite and speed up metabolism.

The use of oil will consist of taking it twice a day. For better metabolism, it is worth limiting (even better, eliminating) the consumption of fatty, fried foods. Gentle strength training and walking are required.

First week

In the morning, on an empty stomach, half an hour before breakfast, take one teaspoon orally, which can be washed down with water (not hot or tea/coffee).

The second time they drink it (or swallow gelatin capsules) at night or half an hour after dinner, also with water.

This “diet” is followed for a week.

Second week

Oil intake doubles. This means two teaspoons in the morning and two teaspoons in the evening too.

Third week

The number of doses is the same (morning and evening), but the dosage will be 1.5 teaspoons in the morning and the same in the evening.

Fourth week

Same number of doses, but 2 tablespoons in the morning and evening.

Then the intake is resumed from the first week of intake (one teaspoon at a time). This continues until the fourth week in ascending order, and then again from the first.

The diet lasts 2-3 months. During this time, weight decreases and, if necessary, the diet can be repeated after a month's break.

The effect of using the oil will consist not only of mild weight loss, but also of improving the condition of the skin, nails and hair.

Another way to lose weight using flax is to do it yourself. They do not have the unpleasant aftertaste that oil has, although the effect will be similar.

Flax seeds are taken, ground in a coffee grinder, after which they can be washed down with tea, consumed with kefir or yogurt. The volume is also 1 tablespoon, morning and night.

The duration of such a “flax diet” can be at least 2-3 months. A break for a month is required, after which the diet can be resumed. When using ground flax seeds, you should drink plenty of liquid, preferably just water, for better absorption.

There are also special ready-made semi-finished products “flax porridge” for those losing weight. Such porridges, of course, cannot be compared with flaxseed oil, but they give an excellent feeling of fullness and improve digestion.


Oil based recipes

And if you don’t want to take the oil in its natural form, add it to your food, using it in different culinary variations. Try these, for example.

No. 1 - Curd and flax mayonnaise

Take one hundred grams of fresh cottage cheese, grind until smooth, add one tablespoon of flaxseed oil (can be mixed with) and a tablespoon of kefir (ryazhenka, yogurt). The result will be a sauce similar to mayonnaise. This dressing can be added to any salads with vegetables. For example, with cucumbers, tomatoes, sweet peppers, beets and carrots. To enhance the taste, you can add garlic, hot pepper, and aromatic herbs.

No. 2 – Fruit and berry curd cream

Mix one hundred grams of cottage cheese with a spoonful of kefir and flaxseed oil, mix well. Add a little honey (no more than a teaspoon) and a variety of berries (banana, strawberries, raspberries). Berries can be either fresh or frozen. In addition, you can add muesli.

No. 3 – Spicy salad dressing with linseed oil

Mix the prepared mustard (a teaspoon or a tablespoon, to taste) with a couple of tablespoons of linseed oil. Pour in a tablespoon. If desired, you can sweeten with honey (or for spiciness - pepper, salt, garlic). This dressing can be used in any dishes, for example, with potatoes - in salads (vinaigrettes), and also added to sauerkraut.

External use of oil to improve the figure (and body skin)

Flax seed oil is used not only for nutrition. You can find different ways to use oil for external purposes - as scrubs and massages. The oil goes well with various. You can use any suitable one - orange, grapefruit, lemon, bergamot.

The peculiarity of external use of the oil is that it is quite light and therefore does not leave a dense residue on the skin. But for a massage or wrap, you should take a denser oil (for example, olive) as a base, and add linseed oil to it.

Wraps

How to do it correctly:

  1. Combine half a glass of olive oil with two tablespoons of flaxseed oil, then add a few drops of essential oil. Heat the mixture slightly (preferably in a microwave or in a water bath) to a pleasant body temperature.
  2. Apply to problem areas (hips, buttocks, stomach), wrap in cling film. Lie in this state for an hour under a warm blanket, avoiding cooling from drafts.
  3. rinse with warm water and apply anti-cellulite cream.
  4. You can add a little honey to this wrap.

This procedure should be done no more than twice a week. Course – 10 procedures.

Flax oil scrub

You can try a recipe based on honey, with the addition of sea salt (a tablespoon) and flaxseed oil (a tablespoon). After applying to a steamed body (after a bath, sauna, hot shower), vigorously rub problem areas. Leave on the body for a few minutes. Rinse off and apply cream.

Recipe based on coffee (natural, not instant). Mix the dried coffee grounds with flax oil and add essential oils drop by drop. You can thicken the mixture by adding olive oil. The scrub is used 2 times a week, the course is 2 months.


Instead of coffee, you can experiment with ground oatmeal, finely ground apricot or grape seeds.

Massages using flax oil

You can also use flaxseed oil in combination with massage. To do this, you should adhere to the following recommendations:

  1. In a massage with linseed oil, it is worth adding heavier oil, preferably olive oil, for density.
  2. For a faster effect, you should add honey. The massage is performed with sharp patting movements until waste processes (sticky gray mass) are released.
  3. Another way is a classic massage based on linseed oil and anti-cellulite cream. The best effect is obtained if you use plastic massage jars for massage. Very painful, but very effective.
  4. To enhance the effect after a cupping massage, you can wipe off the oil and cream from the skin and apply a new layer of this mixture, wrap it in film and lie there for another hour or two. Then rinse everything off with warm water. Cupping massage carried out in a course is the best way to combat cellulite.

Hot compress based on flaxseed oil and red pepper

The compress warms up very strongly and accelerates metabolism. Important addition: do not use under any circumstances for gynecological diseases or inflammatory processes.

You need to mix 1/4 cup of flaxseed oil, 2 tablespoons of honey, a few drops of orange essential oil. Mix everything and add ground red pepper. Take no more than 1/2 teaspoon of pepper.

After scrubbing the problem areas, apply the mixture and wrap with cling film. Keep depending on how you feel from 15 minutes to half an hour. After the procedure, wash off the compress and lubricate the skin with moisturizer.

Contraindications for use

Any remedy (or product) that is used for medicinal purposes has limitations and/or contraindications. Flaxseed oil is no exception. It should not be used in cases where there is:

  • individual intolerance and/or allergies of any kind;
  • limited use in baby food (children under ten years of age and older who are intolerant to the product should not use it);
  • any diseases of the digestive system in the acute stage;
  • increased blood clotting;
  • problems with the pancreas;
  • any tumors (only under the supervision of the attending physician);
  • pancreatitis, hepatitis, colitis;
  • pregnancy - due to the strong laxative effect and stimulation of the intestines, it can cause uterine contractions and, as a result, miscarriage;
  • Use with extreme caution during breastfeeding.


Side effects from using oil

The oil has a strong laxative effect. If you eat a lot of vegetables along with it, this effect will increase. This is worth remembering (especially when traveling or participating in entertaining parties).

Flaxseed oil has a rather specific taste, which may not be to everyone’s taste. Real and fresh flaxseed oil has a slight bitterness and some fish oil flavor. It's not a very pleasant taste and causes nausea (and a gag reflex) in some people.

This means that there are no other fats added to the oil. But some manufacturers have begun to take this factor into account and now oil is appearing with a less pronounced unpleasant taste. Most likely, another oil (sunflower or olive) is added there. Mixing oils in this way is acceptable, but the amount of oil in, for example, a tablespoon will be less.

Opinion of experts and those losing weight

According to nutritionists, flaxseed oil is definitely useful both for weight loss and for enriching the body with useful substances. When used correctly and following the indicated dosage (with mandatory breaks in use), significant results can be achieved.

Those who lose weight are very diverse in their opinions. What stops many is the peculiar taste of the oil. For those who were not stopped by this, as a rule, there are results - the metabolism has increased, the kilograms have gone away (there may be a weight loss of 3 to 5 kg).

But, of course, not everyone gets such results, since there is no single way to lose weight. Therefore, when choosing this or that recipe for weight loss, it is important to remember that first you should consult with: a therapist, nutritionist, gastroenterologist. Taking into account their opinions, you can make a choice of nutrition that will lead to the desired result.
