Pozdeev's paintings with titles. The price of talent: how much do Andrei Pozdeev’s paintings cost (and why so expensive)? Poor but free

Andrey Gennadievich Pozdeev(September 27, 1926, village of Nizhny Ingash Krasnoyarsk Territory, USSR - July 12, 1998, Krasnoyarsk) - Russian and Soviet artist. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR (since 1961).

Biography

Born into the family of a postal employee Gennady Danilovich Pozdeev and his wife Evdokia Ivanovna.

He worked as an assistant fireman. During the Great Patriotic War served in the Far Eastern Fleet.

He began to comprehend painting on his own: he visited exhibitions, museums and galleries, studied the works of great masters of the past, read books, and painted from life. Subsequently graduated from Krasnoyarsk art school named after V.I. Surikov (teacher - A.P. Lekarenko).

Andrey Pozdeev about his understanding of the artist’s work:

...The artist as a person is more individual. He allows himself what other people may not allow. But he has a great responsibility: to give of himself as he is. He is naked, he is “naked.” And he must also have a head, think like a philosopher. Philosophers of thought are an incredible thing. They talk about the same thing, but each from their own individual perspective. And I also have to convey color. And I am obliged, if I “got into” this business for the rest of my life - and here life is not enough - to constantly improve and develop to the very best. last day, how much fate has given me.

The artist’s personal exhibitions were held in museums in Tallinn (1984; with the assistance of O. Subbi) and Riga, in State Museum, in the State Tretyakov Gallery, in the Central House of Artists in Moscow. Paintings by Andrei Pozdeev are in many museums around the world, including the Tretyakov Gallery and the Russian Museum. A significant collection of paintings by the artist is in the collection of the Krasnoyarsk State art museum named after V.I. Surikov.

Andrey Gennadyevich Pozdeev is included in the international art rating (world rating of artists of the 18th-21st centuries who shape the world artistic heritage).

The artist died on July 12, 1998 in his studio in Krasnoyarsk. He was buried at the Badalyk cemetery.

Memory

  • Monument to A.G. Pozdeev in the historical center of Krasnoyarsk - on Mira Avenue next to the Pedagogical University. The opening of the monument took place on September 27, 2000. The authors are architect Mikhail Merkulov and sculptor Yuri Zlotya. During the existence of the monument, some townspeople and many visitors have developed a tradition: when passing by the monument, you should definitely rub its nose. The statue was vandalized - unknown persons stole the umbrella twice. The first time the umbrella was lost, the second time the element of the sculpture was found and returned to its place.

Andrey Pozdeev is one of the largest Russian artists the second half of the twentieth century, known to the professional community throughout Russia and, especially, Siberia, his homeland. In Krasnoyarsk he became a legend, one of the heroes of modern cultural history cities. Now any Krasnoyarsk resident will immediately name the names of two artists associated with the city - Vasily Surikov and Andrei Pozdeev. After the artist’s death, townspeople raised money on a voluntary basis and erected a monument to Pozdeev. The author, sculptor Yuri Zlotya, was little acquainted with Pozdeev during his lifetime and followed the path of conveying not so much the inner essence as the external similarity. The result was an eccentric bronze character, slightly taller than a man, with a sketchbook on his shoulder, under an umbrella, as if he had stopped at pedestrian crossing. The monument does not so much express as it designates the artist, without creating a zone of alienation and irritation around itself, as is usually the case with a state “monumental”. But the monument took root and, judging by the sparkling, rubbed nose, acquired some kind of magical functions. It is believed, for example, that everyone who begins to draw, or is already taking an exam at the Art Institute, should slowly touch Pozdeev at random. And he doesn’t mind, although he could buy a full bronze umbrella shaft. In Krasnoyarsk, many people still remember the living Pozdeev - a kind man, albeit sometimes harsh in matters of creativity, extraordinary, carrying a feeling of rare happiness. That’s why young people treat the monument as a good omen. (And at school No. 69, the artist Vladimir Vaganov created the Pozdeev Museum, called the “Museum kind person"). However, there are not so many of those who understand and love Pozdeev’s actual painting.
