Purpose.
This psychological test is designed to diagnose analytical mathematical abilities. Analytical math skills are considered academic skills. That is, first of all, they allow a person to better assimilate educational material, in this case mathematics. Analytical math skills are highly correlated with IQ, which is why most IQ tests include a subtest that measures number patterns. Those with high scores in analytical mathematical abilities demonstrate analytical abilities not only in the field of mathematics, but also in other diverse problems. The test stimulus material consists of twenty number series. Each row includes ten numbers that are in a certain relationship with each other. One of the ten numbers is missing (marked with an ellipsis). The test subject's task is to find this missing number.
