Project. Children's Art Festival “Spring Voices”

When holding any large-scale annual event, including a festival in a kindergarten, a lot of organizational issues inevitably arise, and an additional burden falls on the teaching staff.

We present many years of experience in organizing a project for theatrical activities in a preparatory group. A unique result of this work is the Theater Festival. According to the annual tradition, it takes place in the last days of March and is dedicated to the holiday - World Theater Day, March 27.

Extremely important for their socialization. It promotes the formation of strong-willed character traits in children, promotes overall development, communication of children with peers and other adults, and study of the world around them.

The teaching staff of structural unit No. 1837 of school No. 1491 in Moscow has accumulated enormous experience in organizing theatrical activities for preschoolers.

In each group of the children's center, the necessary subject-development environment has been created. Thus, in the theater corners, paraphernalia was selected based on the age of the pupils: costumes, playing materials for various types of theatrical activities of preschoolers (theaters - finger, table, plane, shadow, bi-ba-bo, mitten dolls, etc.). The work plan of educators and specialists for each month includes classes on culture and speech technique, exercises in rhythmoplasty, theatrical games, and an introduction to the culture of the theater.

For the eleventh year in a row, a theater festival has been held in a preschool educational organization (hereinafter referred to as the PEO). Therefore, we traditionally devote the last week of March to the wonderful world of theater.

The festival consists of two parts:

  1. Conducting performances in preschool educational institutions.
  2. A visit to Moscow theaters is an acquaintance with the sociocultural environment of the city.

Staging performances in kindergarten

The grand opening of the festival in the kindergarten takes place in the assembly hall. Children, together with their parents, get acquainted with the history of the emergence of theatrical art in Rus', name the most famous theaters in Moscow, and receive invitations to all upcoming performances.

In parallel with the opening of the festival, an exhibition of theater posters created by the hands of the students themselves, as well as parents and teachers, begins. Any guest can leave their vote for their favorite poster. Based on the voting results, all participants are awarded certificates and prizes, and the best of the best are awarded the Audience Choice Award.

Undoubtedly, the most striking and memorable events of the festival days are performances in preschool educational institutions with the participation of preschoolers and adults (teachers and parents). Over our many years of festival experience, a large number of outstanding performances have been staged.

The youngest of the artists are 4-5 year old children from secondary preschool groups. They stage well-known Russian folk tales: “The Fox, the Hare and the Rooster”, “Turnip”, “Teremok”, “Winged, Hairy and Oily”, “Zayushkina’s Hut”, “The Wolf and the Seven Little Goats”, “Swan Geese” and etc. Thus, the performance in the most natural and visual way introduces students to Russian folk art.

For performances in kindergarten with the participation of children of senior and preparatory groups, the scripts are based on literary works of Russian and foreign writers with whom the pupils became acquainted during the year: “The Tale of the Stupid Mouse”, “Sack of Apples”, “Cat’s House”, “ The Adventures of Dunno and His Friends,” “The Wizard of the Emerald City,” “The Adventures of Pinocchio,” “Cinderella,” “Cipollino” and others. Most educators highlight the formation of reading interest in preschoolers as one of the most important areas of work, and performances in preschool educational institutions are one of the results of the joint activities of children, teachers and parents within the framework of this area.

For several years in a row, after participating in project activities to familiarize themselves with the countries of the world, teachers used plots from foreign folk and original fairy tales to write scripts for performances in kindergarten:

  • “Little Red Riding Hood” (C. Perrault);
  • “The Princess and the Pea” (H. H. Andersen);
  • “The Adventures of Louis XIV and Tutta Carlson” (J. Ekholm);
  • "Princess Mak" (Indian folk tale);
  • "The Three Dwarfs" and "The Castle of Liars" (Lithuanian folk tales);
  • “Bull - Tar Barrel” (Ukrainian folk tale);
  • "The Dream of a Little Donkey" (Bulgarian folk tale);
  • "The Good Wolf" (Austrian folk tale);
  • "The Cock and the Hen" (Greek folk tale);
  • "A Gift for the Weakest" (Serbian folk tale);
  • "The Shepherdess and the Gray Wolf" (Spanish folk tale).

Pupils of younger groups also do not remain aloof from the events of the festival in preschool educational institutions. They learn contemplation, observation, reinforce the rules and norms of behavior in the theater, greet young actors, give them flowers and compliments.

During the preparation of performances in kindergarten, an exceptional creative atmosphere reigns: stage costumes are selected, roles are assigned, the necessary rehearsals are carried out, unique scenery and invitation cards are made - everything happens as in a real theater. Teachers and parents act as directors, decorators, make-up artists, and, of course, enjoy playing in performances in preschool educational institutions with their children.

Visiting the capital's theaters as part of theatrical activities for preschoolers

During the festival, kindergarten students get acquainted with theatrical professions and, together with their parents, visit both their favorite and still unfamiliar theater stages in the capital. Especially for parents of children, educators prepare an announcement of current events in theatrical Moscow, as well as recommendations regarding the proper organization of cultural recreation with a preschool child.

Our goal is to use the socio-cultural opportunities of the city as widely as possible, a variety of interactive interactions with children, and motivate preschoolers to engage in theatrical activities. For example, in some theaters, before the performance has yet begun, writers speak to young spectators, and in addition to the vivid impression of what they saw, children can receive a colorful book with the author’s autograph. There are also theaters that, in addition to the performance itself, organize an interesting behind-the-scenes excursion, and children can also look into the puppet museum. And in some theaters, not only children, but also their parents are invited by the organizers to participate in performances.

This year, as part of the theater festival, our students and their parents visited the Yuri Kuklachev Cat Theater, the State Academic Central Puppet Theater named after S.V. Obraztsov, the Moscow State Academic Musical Theater named after. N.I. Sats, the MEL theater by Elena Makhonina, the Moscow Puppet Theater, the Moscow Children's Book Theater "The Magic Lamp", the Moscow Shadow Theater.

We actively cooperate with visiting theaters, with the MEL theater of Elena Makhonina, which is located within walking distance from the building of our preschool institution. For several years in a row, our theater festival in pre-school education began on the stage of this theater. Children from middle and high school groups came to meet the actors and watch performances.

Features of organizing a festival in kindergarten

Of course, when holding such a large-scale annual event as a festival in a kindergarten, especially in a multi-group environment, a lot of organizational issues inevitably arise and an additional burden on the teaching staff. In addition, among our employees there is no additional education teacher who could advise and provide practical assistance during the rehearsal process, and in organizing leisure activities and master classes to familiarize preschoolers with theatrical activities. Therefore, the parents of our students are the only people to whom we can turn for help. Most of them contribute to the educational process and are happy to participate in introducing children to art. Parents themselves purchase tickets to events and visit exhibitions, theaters, museums, and classical music concerts with their preschoolers more than once throughout the year.

Many years of experience in holding theater festivals in preschool educational institutions allowed us to highlight the basic rules for organizing such events:

  • any long-term event must certainly have a beginning (mood) and an end (summarizing, rewarding);
  • it is necessary to think in advance about the feasibility and scope of parental participation in upcoming events and notify them in detail about this;
  • It makes sense to hold a theater festival only if the educational organization has systematic work in this direction. Otherwise, unjustified efforts will be spent on the event.

Participation in performances in kindergarten as actors and spectators helps preschoolers to relax, become more sociable, and feel the world around them more subtly. The festival not only maintains interest among preschoolers in theatrical activities and events in the cultural life of the capital, but also strengthens cultural ties between the children's plant and the families of pupils, identifies and supports the most talented teachers among them. And, of course, the festival is a kind of culmination of the activities of teaching staff throughout the year.

Repertoire of the theater festival in kindergarten

The eleventh theater season in structural unit No. 1837 of school No. 1491 in Moscow included the following events:

  • March 24, 2015 - grand opening of the theater festival in the preschool educational institution, a joint performance of teachers and students “Seasons”;
  • March 25, 2015 - performances of the middle group “Naughty Chicken” and the senior group in English “English City”;
  • March 27, 2015 - performances by the preparatory group “Cat's House”, the senior group based on the work of S. Ya. Marshak “The Tale of the Stupid Mouse” and the preparatory speech therapy group “Tsokotukha Fly”;
  • March 30, 2015 - performance in the senior group “The Wolf and the Seven Little Goats” in a new way”;
  • March 31, 2015 - performances of the middle group “Mashenka’s Birthday” and the preparatory group based on the Russian folk tale “Finist - the Clear Falcon”;
  • April 1, 2015 - performances in the senior speech therapy group “The Battle of Mushrooms and Berries” and the preparatory speech therapy group “Old Tales in a New Way.”

The annual “Theater Festival” was held in our garden; all age groups took part in it. Theatrical art is close and understandable to children, which allows them to develop the experience of social behavior skills. Each production had a moral orientation. Thanks to participation in the performance, a child learns about the world not only with his mind, but also with his heart, and expresses his own attitude towards good and evil. Favorite heroes become role models and identification. Also, theatrical activities are aimed at developing in children sensations (sensory), feelings and emotions, thinking, imagination, fantasy, attention, memory, will, as well as many skills (speech, communication, organizational, design, motor, etc. ).

Children got the opportunity to be not only artists, but also spectators, which is no less important. And what pride they felt when their parents and grandparents applauded them. And now they, together with their favorite teachers, are thinking about what production they will work on next year. The festival ended with a fairy tale on road safety rules, which was shown by preschool teachers.

"Festival of children's creativity "Happy Childhood"

Deputy Head of VMR, MDOU “General Developmental Kindergarten No. 7”, Usinsk

The municipal preschool educational institution “General Developmental Kindergarten No. 7” in Usinsk celebrated a wonderful date - 30 years. Each preschool institution has its own history, its own biography. She has us too. Over the past 30 years, a lot has changed: the name of the country, the appearance of the city and, naturally, the appearance of our kindergarten; the staff has been renewed. A lot has happened since the opening of our institution. The most significant, frequently recurring holidays and events have grown into traditions.

One of the traditions I would like to highlight in particular is the holding of the annual festival of children's creativity “Happy Childhood”. The priority direction of our kindergarten’s work is the artistic and aesthetic development of children, and artistic and aesthetic education has a positive effect not only on the development of children’s creativity, but also on the aesthetics of everyday life, behavior, work, relationships, which is why we decided to hold our festival every year. So, since 2006, a new tradition has appeared in our kindergarten - holding the festival of children's creativity “Happy Childhood”. The festival of children's creativity is always a fireworks display of fantasy, a holiday for us, the northerners, especially long-awaited. The word “festival” has great meaning for us: it contains sun, a riot of colors, joy and fun. Our festival helps to shape a person and not just memorize, consolidate, assimilate, repeat, but above all, experience, evaluate, create, express one’s thoughts and feelings, and develop one’s talent.

Work on introducing the children's creativity festival into life began with the development of the Regulations on the children's creativity festival “Happy Childhood”. The position was discussed and adopted by the pedagogical council.

To develop the festival script, a creative group was created, which, based on pedagogical experience, the annual work plan of the children's institution, and the age characteristics of children, develops the emblem (logo) of the festival, its motto, scenarios, and plan for the festival. The duration of the festival is a whole week. Each day of the week is dedicated to a specific topic and goes under its own name. The themes and names of the days of the festival week change every year.

The logo of our project is a flower with five petals of different colors: a yellow petal is the light and warmth of our hearts, a blue petal is the abyss of talents of our children, an orange petal is a symbol of endless childhood, green reflects the physical and spiritual growth of students, red speaks of beauty and the comfort of our home. Each day of the festival is one petal, which depicts the approximate theme of the day. All groups have a small copy of the logo; at the beginning of the day, children pick a petal from their group, thereby recognizing the theme of the day. At the end of the festival week, only one center of the flower remains - which means the festival of children's creativity “Happy Childhood” is over.

The entire festival week is held under the motto: “Be born easy! Grow up laughing! While playing, learn!

We hold the festival of children's creativity in the form of a musical project. Why was the project activity chosen? For several reasons:

· The focus is on the child.

· An individual pace of work on the project ensures that each child reaches his or her own level.

· Actively attracting parents to participate in the festival.

· Close connection between teachers, which unites the team into a team of like-minded people.

In preparation for the festival, the children are full participants in the creative process, making their contribution to the collective project. Traditionally, all the main moments and main roles are played by children. They are also involved in the preparation of scenery and costumes. If preschoolers are not participants in the event, then they still experience these moments emotionally, sympathizing and empathizing with their peers while in the auditorium.

The goal of our project is to create conditions for the realization of the artistic abilities of each child, to identify and develop young artists, musicians, dancers, fashion designers, and actors.

To achieve the goal, we solve the following tasks:

We form children’s ideas about different artistic genres;

We improve the artistic abilities of preschoolers;

We provide assistance in the implementation of children's plans in various types of artistic and creative activities;

We develop the imagination and fantasy of pupils; We stimulate the child’s needs in realizing his plans.

The project was implemented in several stages:

Stage I :

Consolidating and deepening knowledge and ideas about the genres of fine art: landscape, portrait, still life, plot painting (examination of paintings, reproductions, illustrations for fairy tales, etc.);

Getting to know different types of songs and learning them.

Stage II:

Coming up with a name and emblem for your team;

Learning poems and songs;

Guessing riddles;

Solving crosswords, teawords;

Coming up with impromptu game exercises with elements of gymnastics;

Preparing costumes, discussing the content of the performance intended to be shown at the festival.

The dominant activity of children in our musical project is creative activity. Our music project is interdisciplinary (several sections of the program), the project affects all age groups of preschoolers, is long-term in nature and covers a large number of participants (teachers, children, parents).

The most serious attention is paid to the selection of specific festival content. A plan is drawn up for the festival week.

When drawing up the festival script, the following rules are observed: the beginning (opening) of the festival is always bright and solemn. The main part reflects the theme of a specific day of the week and provides for the active participation of children in various events (see the photo “Journey to the Land of Fairytale Gzhel”), children’s performances, surprise moments, games, dances, songs, poetry readings, participation in quizzes, children’s plays (see photo “Children’s performances”), Komi holidays (see photo “Komi holiday”). All this is built along the line of increasing emotional uplift. At the finale (closing) of the festival, preschoolers are presented with gifts, certificates, and sweet prizes, which enhances the emotional state of the children (see photo “Closing of the festival”). All the events that need to happen.

The festival of children's creativity is attended by children from other kindergartens in the city: pupils from kindergarten No. 12 come to us. These visits contribute to the introduction of preschoolers to joint activities with pupils of other kindergartens, help in communication and broaden their horizons, and also cultivate tolerance.

Our project is a kind of creative report from teachers, children and parents. The festival's programs include not only a showcase of young talents, but also serious work to improve the qualifications of teaching staff.

The Happy Childhood festival takes place in close cooperation with the family. We believe that the process of forming a preschooler’s culture largely depends on how correctly the family understands the goals and objectives of musical-aesthetic, artistic-aesthetic education, and how much the power of the emotional impact of music, theater, fine arts, and literature is realized. Therefore, in our kindergarten, a lot of explanatory work is carried out with parents and special attention is paid to interaction and cooperation with the family. Parents willingly participate in theatrical activities (joint staging of plays), concert programs (preparation of joint concert numbers with children), exhibitions of collections, drawings, applications, photo exhibitions, and in the preparation of various projects.

The experience of our kindergarten shows that the interested attitude of teachers to their work almost always finds a beneficial response in the children’s families. Thanks to such events, parents begin to collect a music library, visit musical theaters, concerts, and artist exhibitions with their children, talk with them about what they heard and saw, and take care of the development of their artistic and musical taste. After all, during the festival both children and adults participate equally. Joint creativity brings joy and satisfaction to all festival participants, brings adults and children closer together, and creates a moral basis for parent-child relationships.

Our music festival leaves vivid impressions in the souls and memories of preschoolers, parents and teachers for a long time. The kindergarten employees see that their work is not in vain. The shining eyes of children and the gratitude of parents are the best confirmation of this.
