Muz-TV 2018. Guests of our “Muse”

A tradition of the Muz-TV Award is the performance of invited foreign superstars on stage. For example, previous awards included Christina Aguilera, The Pussycat Dolls, Jennifer Lopez, 50 Cent, Katy Perry, Craig David, Tokio Hotel, 30 Seconds To Mars and many other equally popular performers.

Performers such as Sergey Lazarev, Dmitry Bilan, Valery Meladze are nominated for several awards every year. As a result of annual participation in this event, the Zveri group became the owner of the “Golden Plate”, as best rock band six years in a row.

The Muz-TV Award is an annual national television award in the field of popular music. Awarded by the Muz-TV channel since 2003. According to established tradition, the award ceremony takes place at the Olimpiysky Sports Complex in Moscow.
In 2016 " Muz-TV Award: Energy of the Future"will take place on June 10 at the Olimpiysky sports complex. The presenters have already become known, as well as those to receive the award. The names of the headliners are being kept secret for now.
The hosts of the 2016 event will be: Ksenia Sobchak, Lera Kudryavtseva and Maxim Galkin.

0 June 11, 2016, 02:12One of the most important music awards in the world is behind us. Russian show business- MUZ-TV 2016. This year a large-scale event took place at the Olimpiysky Sports Complex. Already in the afternoon, fans began to circle around the complex, many of whom brought posters with photographs of their idols.
At 17 o'clock the first stars began to appear - Dmitry Nagiyev, Lera Kudryavtseva, and Maxim Galkin came out to meet the jubilant crowd. The quartet greeted everyone present and exchanged sharp jokes at each other. A little later, the presenters were joined by guests of the ceremony, many of whom were nominated for the award: the Serebro group, Natalya Ionova, Ani Lorak, Anna Sedokova, the Factory group and many others. Fans invariably greeted the stars with applause, and the appearance of Yegor Creed was also accompanied by deafening screams. Fans reacted about the same enthusiastically to Danila Kozlovsky and Sergei Lazarev.
This year, the star participants of the ceremony practically did not wear strange outfits, but, of course, there was some shocking stuff (for example, Sergei Zverev put on a shiny pink suit and a huge crown, and Nikolai Baskov’s “man in red” blazer reflected the spotlight).
At 18:50, a menacing and serious voice warned everyone gathered several times that it was time to take their seats. In the foyer of the Olympic Stadium, everyone began to fuss terribly in search of the right door, celebrities began to step on the hems of each other’s dresses, photographers did not want to let the celebrities go. Finally, the commotion died down and everyone entered the hall.

The MUZ-TV Award started with the hit of the Leningrad group -, new soloist fervently sang about the amazing pants and shoes on high heels accompanied by a psychedelic video sequence of Van Gogh’s self-portraits and women’s legs. After a dashing start, two duets of presenters appeared on the stage - Ksenia Sobchak and Maxim Galkin, Lera Kudryavtseva and Dmitry Nagiev. Nagiyev admitted that there could have been more presenters, but because of his fee, the budget was not enough for the rest.
By the way, Sergei Shnurov and his team didn’t have to leave the stage far - they turned out to be winners in the “Best Rock Performer” category and immediately went behind the MUZ-TV plate. The leader of the Leningrad group made a short but succinct speech:

To deafening applause, Shnurov, in a white alcoholic T-shirt, walked behind the stage with wide gaits.
One of the most touching moments of the ceremony was the presentation of the award in the “Best Album” category. Long-legged beauty Elena Perminova and singer Igor Nikolaev took the stage and presented the award to Dima Bilan for the album “Don’t Be Silent.” When the singer stood up to receive the prize, Elena took the microphone in her hands:

The “Best Performer” award was presented to Sergei Lazarev, which finally appeased the singer’s persistent fans; During the presentation of the award, Philip Kirkorov also reminded the audience about the artist’s enchanting performance at the last one. The ceremony of presenting the “MUZ-TV Award 2016. Energy of the Future” took place at the Olimpiyskiy Sports Complex. The “Special Prize” went to the composer of the decade, Maxim Fadeev. The award was presented by actress Anastasia Zavorotnyuk and figure skater Pyotr Chernyshev, as well as Lev Leshchenko.

In order to present the treasured plate, TV presenter Dmitry Borisov, Bai Ling and “Miss Russia 2016” Yana Dobrovolskaya were invited to the stage. They announced that Emin was the winner.
The following singers were presented in the nomination “Best Female Video”: Glyuk’oZa “Sing to me, wind”, Maxim “Goldfish”, Anita Tsoi “Without things”, Anna Sedokova “Bye, darling”, Sati Casanova “Sleeping my happiness” . The winner in this category was the bright performer Anita Tsoi.

I usually don’t watch these types of programs, but this year I decided to catch up. And I didn’t just watch the MUZ-TV Awards, I even voted for the nominees.
This year's presenters were Ksenia Sobchak, Maxim Galkin, Lera Kudryavtseva and Dmitry Nagiev.
The Awards began from the Red Carpet - the presenters greeted the celebrity guests at the entrance to the Olympic Stadium.
Most of the stars looked stylish and elegant. The only ones I didn't like were Bianca and Glucose's outfits.
Under her spacious outfits, Sobchak was already hiding a fairly decent belly. Her interesting position did not stop the other presenters from making fun of her by asking her to undress or have sex right on stage. These vulgar jokes were not written in advance, but appeared in the process of improvisation, when the screen on the stage froze and the presenters had to play for time. It turned out badly for them, they stood and “talked wonderful nonsense.” To help stall for time, they called Baskov, who extremely reluctantly went on stage.
Ksenia Sobchak called Baskov a “fireman beetle” because of his bright red shiny outfit. Later he answered her in kind - he said that an old drawstring from Bolshoi Theater and that he finally sees expensive jewelry on her, and not Swarovski.

Nominations and winners of the MUZ-TV Award 2016
"Best Album": Dima Bilan - “Don’t be silent.” I voted for Valeria, but I thought that Lazarev would win. In the end, the victory went to Bilan. I don't like this singer, but what he does for disabled children deserves respect. I think that this is also why many people voted for him.
Bilan also won the nomination with the song “Don’t be silent” "Best video". I voted for Ani Lorak, I love this singer very much, but I thought that Timothy or Bilan would win. Here my expectations were met.
"Best Song": Timati feat. Record Orchestra – “Eggplant” I voted for the song " drunken sun", but expected to see "Exhibit" as the winner
"Breakthrough of the Year": Alekseev "Drunk Sun". I voted for him in this nomination. I am very glad that he was the winner. Alekseev performed this song on the Olimpiysky stage and I really liked his number.
"Best Rock Performer": Leningrad. I voted for Nargiz, but I was sure that Leningrad would win in this nomination. And so it happened.
Leningrad opened the MUZ-TV Prize with the song "Exhibit". Remember, as they said in the advertisement, “Even he himself doesn’t know what Shnurov will do at this Prize.” But nothing much happened, except that the new vocalist appeared on stage with vulgar makeup and an equally “amazing” outfit. Well, Shnurov reduced his speech to one phrase:

"Best Pop Group": SEREBRO. I voted for BandEros, but for some reason I thought that A-studio would win. I don’t like Serebro, but I liked their performance at the MUZ-TV Awards. So sweet and romantic.
"Best Duet": Grigory Leps and Ani Lorak - “Leave in English.” I'm glad they won, I voted for this duet. Ani Lorak performed the song "Hold My Heart". She also had a good number, but not as bright as last year.
"Best Concert Show": Danila Kozlovsky "The Big Dream of an Ordinary Man". I randomly voted for Gagarina, since I had not been to a single concert.
"Best Hip-Hop Project": Basta. I voted for Timati, I don’t like Basta at all. New song I didn’t like Basta and Gagarina’s “The Voice” at all
“Best Song in a Foreign Language”: EMIN – Boomerang. This came as a complete surprise even to Emin himself, because in addition to him, Max Fadeev and Polina Gagarina were also nominated. I voted for Fadeev, but expected Gagarina to win; her song, after all, took silver at Eurovision. I had never even heard Emin’s song before.
"Best Female Video": Anita Tsoi - “Without Things” I voted for Sati Casanova’s song “My Happiness Is Sleeping.” She's incredible beautiful clip, filmed in Jordan. Anita Tsoi also had a very original video and her victory was well deserved, in my opinion. I liked her speech at the presentation of the plate, it was very sincere and emotional.
"Best Male Video": Timati feat. Record Orchestra – “Eggplant”. I voted for this song, but I thought that Vorobyov would win with the song “Crazy”.
"Best Performer": Sergey Lazarev. I voted for Leps, I would be very happy with Agutin’s victory. But I had no doubt that Lazarev would win. Personally, I don’t like this singer and I’m already quite tired of his Eurovision song. On the Olympic stage he repeated his Eurovision number.
"Best Performer": Polina Gagarina. Her victory was also expected and well deserved, but I voted for Ani Lorak.
There were also special nominations from MUZ-TV. One of them -- "World Breakthrough of the Year" went to Sergei Lazarev. I think that this was given to him as a consolation prize so that he would not be upset about Eurovision. Well, just in case he doesn’t win in any of the categories. He was entered in four, but won only one, while Bilan and Timati each took away two plates.

In general, I am satisfied with the results of the MUZ-TV Awards 2016; I don’t think that the plates were bought/paid for. I feel sorry for Nyusha, who was nominated in several categories, but did not win any. She had the most bright show at the MUZ-TV Awards 2016. Most artists focused on light show and special effects, and Nyusha had a gorgeous dance number with beautiful costumes.
And what I didn’t like most of all was Yegor Creed’s performance - a bunch of people, scenery, and Creed running and jumping between them and a soundtrack singing instead.
I expected more from this Award; the numbers did not impress me. Of the presenters, only Sobchak liked it, the rest were constantly lost. As for me, it turned out to be a C grade. But the MUZ-TV Award proudly calls itself the most grandiose event in music show business. Anyone who hasn’t watched the MUZ-TV 2016 “Future Energy” Award has not lost anything. I regret that I spent time watching this ceremony or whatever the correct name for this event is.
