The best shows in Las Vegas. Planning a trip to Las Vegas, free shows

The state of Nevada has always been distinguished by its free spirit, and Las Vegas especially. Only here, for example, is it allowed to smoke and drink alcohol on the streets and in many public places, and half-naked girls walk the streets. Only here you can go to the club in the evening single, and wake up in the morning with your wife by your side. Only here, even the most non-gambler person cannot resist looking into the casino.

One thing is for sure - Las Vegas loves fun and money! If you come here, be prepared to shell out money, otherwise it will be boring. There are countless entertainment options on which you can spend your savings. Let's see what awaits you in Vegas?

Casino and slot machines

For many, Las Vegas and casinos are synonymous. How many films have captured these velvet tables, flashing machines, scatterings of chips, the chatter of roulettes and eyes glowing with excitement? I think in the dozens, if not more. Now in Vegas there are about a hundred casinos, and thousands of gaming halls. They gladly accept into their arms those who want to try their luck. The minimum bets are very small, so almost anyone can play. The main thing is to leave on time))

Don't know how to play? They will be happy to tell and show you everything. Ready to spend a lot of money? So for you separate rooms With higher rates. Do you want to play and admire pretty young ladies? This also exists! For those who are not ready to play big or simply do not want to understand the rules challenging games, full slot machines, in which bets start from 1 cent, and the rules are mostly not complicated. In any case, anyone can pull a lever or press a button))

All the major casinos are located in the Downtown area along Fremont Street, as well as Las Vegas Boulevard, or more precisely, the part of it called “The Strip”. By the way, they say that on Fremont minimum rates less, because this place is now not as popular among tourists as the sparkling lights and alluring entertainment of the Las Vegas Strip.

Anyone can look into the casino, the doors are open to everyone, and face control is not practiced. And that’s right, we found out a long time ago that money has no smell. This means that in the halls you can see both homeless-looking men and comrades in expensive suits.

Even though Andryusiks and I are not very gambling guys, we couldn’t leave Vegas without playing. One evening we went to the Luxor casino and after some simple manipulations with one of the slot machines, we won as much as 20 dollars. Naturally, we didn’t know any tricky strategies and pressed the buttons at random, realizing only one thing: we shouldn’t save too much on bets.

After each game of the machine (or during the process, if you want to stop and collect your winnings), you are given a voucher, which can then be used as a “credit card” for other games. That is, it is the same for all devices. Its “shelf life” is six months. You can cash out your voucher right here in the hall, in a special cash dispenser. Everything is easy, simple and clear.

Theoretically, any security guards do not really like it when they photograph or film tables and machines in casinos and may ask us to leave, however, no one has ever reprimanded us.

Shows, concerts and performances

No less popular than casinos are all kinds of Las Vegas shows. No wonder it is called the entertainment capital of the world. What's missing here:

  • Comedy performances
  • Illusionists and other magicians
  • Circus performances
  • Programs for adults
  • Hypnotists
  • Concerts of famous stars
  • Musicals
  • Dance shows
  • Sport events

The most popular, for example, is the famous Cirque Du Soleil, offering almost a dozen various programs, Blue Man Group, David Copperfield, the musical Mamma Mia! and others.

The price tags are very different: on average from 30 to 100 dollars, but for all the most interesting and popular things you will have to pay from 100 to 200 dollars.

Where can I find information about the show? Firstly, at any hotel at the reception you can pick up a book that will list all the most interesting things, or rather, everything. There you will find many flyers, discount coupons and other useful waste paper. Secondly, you can look here.

You can find out more about Cirque du Soleil.

Night clubs and bars

Those who can't sit still, and that's the majority of people in Vegas, are invited to numerous nightclubs and bars. There are both establishments at large hotel-casinos, and those that exist on their own. Las Vegas clubs are considered unique because this is where you can come face to face with a celebrity.

Some of the most famous clubs:

  • Chateau Nightclub at the Paris Casino Hotel
  • Marquee Nightclub at The Cosmopolitan
  • Moon Nightclub at the Palms
  • Voodoo Lounge at Rio Hotel

Even more bars! They can be found at any casino or even under open air.

Attractions and entertainment

For those who like to tickle their nerves or see something interesting, there is also a lot of interesting things.

Stratosphere Hotel Tower Thrill Rides

For example, the Stratosphere Hotel offers four attractions: The SkyJump, the Big Shot, the X Scream, and Insanity, located at the very top of the tower. They will all give thrill and the opportunity to see a panoramic view of the city. Details and prices can be found.

Roller coaster at the New York Hotel - New York (The Big Apple Coaster)

One of the most exciting and favorite attractions among tourists. It is useless to describe it, you have to try it. Opening hours: Sunday-Thursday - from 11 am to 11 pm, Friday and Saturday - from 10:30 am to midnight. A single ticket costs $14, a day pass costs $25.

Aquariums, zoos

You can admire aquarium at the Mirage Hotel(Aquarium at The Mirage). It is located right behind the reception desk and you can look at it completely free.

Moreover, amateurs underwater world can visit Shark Reef Aquarium at the Mandalay Bay Hotel. One of the features of this place is a touch pool where visitors can pet fish. Adult tickets cost $18, children's tickets cost $12.

At the Flamingo Casino Hotel you can admire wild flamingos. In addition to these beauties, there are other birds for which heavenly conditions have been created.

Walking along the Strip in the evening, you can witness amazing show singing-dancing Bellagio fountain(Fountains Of Bellagio) opposite the hotel of the same name. The spectacle is truly mesmerizing, even if you have seen more than one similar fountain in your life. Immediately after this hotel rises another one - Bellagio, which is most famous for its dancing fountain.

Here is a video from the scene (the quality is so-so, because someone was constantly pushing and the focus did not want to adjust, but general idea gives).

At the hotel The Venetian there is the opportunity to ride a gondola along an improvised canal, recreating a piece of Venice.

You can experience a light show on Fremont Street Fremont Street Experience, which involves screens forming a dome over the pedestrian part of the street.

Curious shopping complexes

Not far from MGM Grand Hotel has a store-museum M&M's World, which will appeal not only to children, but also to adults. Here you can simply look at your favorite colorful candies, as well as buy souvenirs and gifts.

At the New York-New York Casino Hotel you will find another chocolate shop - Hershey's Chocolate World. Here you can try the most delicious Hershey's chocolates and also buy delicious or just branded souvenirs.

This is far from full list entertainment in Las Vegas, I would even say that this is just the beginning))

The David Copperfield Show in Las Vegas enjoys great success for many years. One of the pillars of modern magic is an extraordinary person not only on stage, but also in life. In 1983, David Copperfield made the Statue of Liberty literally "disappear" television broadcast. Programs with his participation won Emmy awards for the best television programs of the year in the USA 21 (!!!) times. Grand show on Broadway "Dreams and Nightmares" (Dreams and Nightmares), created by David Copperfield together with Francis Coppola, broke all box office records.

Morning in Vegas is like waking up with a stranger: and, it seems, it was a good night,
but in the light of day the charm disappeared somewhere without a trace... It would be evening soon!

Las Vegas is just over 100 years old, which is a very small age in the history of cities. Like all young people, Las Vegas, it seems, does not work, but has fun: plays, dances, drinks and lives one day at a time, or rather at night, and the nights in Las Vegas are the brightest in the world.

Las Vegas casinos and shows

Las Vegas is translated from Spanish as pasture. 40 million tourists a year come here to graze. All the biggest casinos are in hotels, and all the best hotels are casinos. Often casino owners pay for food, accommodation and even air travel for visitors, just so that people play in their casino. However, you can take advantage of the free round only by committing to bet a large amount at the casino.

Casino bets start from 5 cents. In 15 minutes you can blow $1000, despite the fact that you are lucky for the first 5 minutes, and then you need to stop in time. But in the casino, everything is done so that the visitor forgets about time.

There is no clock anywhere in the casino. At any time of the day, the same, even lighting is maintained, so that it is not clear whether it is morning or evening.

In Las Vegas they not only gamble a lot, but also drink a lot: they drink to wash off their winnings; They drink to wash down their losses.

To get visitors, casino managers bend over backwards! Tourists are offered free drinks, free parking, bonuses on food, discounts on accommodation. But this turns out to be not enough, so every evening everything large casinos they hold huge free shows to attract people passing by.

Singing fountain show

One of the most famous is the fountains on Via Bellagio. In order to watch it, spectators occupy their seats in advance. best places. The fountains turn on every 15 minutes - these are one of the largest singing fountains in the world.

The cost of the project is 40 million dollars, viewing is free. It is assumed that, imbued with the amazing spectacle, people will go to the casino.

Eruption

The volcanic eruption near the Mirage Hotel casino, like many things in Vegas, is not real, but a very spectacular spectacle.

Pirate show

But most of all people gather for the Pirate Show at the Treasure Island casino hotel.

Despite the grandeur of all these shows, what can be seen for free on the city streets is only a prelude to what lies inside.

Circus Dusoleil

In Vegas, there are 5 show programs of the Dusol circus going on simultaneously, from mystical to erotic. The Dusoleil Circus is perhaps the most popular and famous in the world; it is fundamentally different from the ordinary circus we know. For example, there are no trained animals here; the Dusol circus is, first of all, grandiose shows.

Mystery is the very first circus production. For 19 years now, the show has been on every day and always sold out. Despite resounding success, numbers are not shown for encores.

By agreement with the hotel, the performance must end at the designated hour, because while people are watching the circus, they are not playing. And for casinos, every minute when people don’t play means thousands of losses.

Our domestic circus school is highly valued abroad, which is why the Dusol circus is full of Russians and Ukrainians. It is very difficult for our compatriots to maintain the rhythm of the constant holiday in the city, but they are kept here by high fees, which to disclose on air would mean breaking a commercial secret.

Grand Video Show on Fremont Street

There is another famous and expensive show in Las Vegas, but admission to it is absolutely free. At night, Fremont Street turns into the world's largest video show.

In order to build it, it was necessary to spend 70 million dollars. But now anyone can just come and look at it. The Fremonstreet Experiences screen is the largest digital video screen. It covers the whole block! There are 12 million LEDs on the ceiling. For example, video Queen comes with special effects, lightning and graphics.

Hotel "Stratosphere"

The highest hotel - the Stratosphere - looks like a TV tower and is famous for the fact that at its top there are incredibly scary attractions: a creepy falling elevator, a terrible falling trailer and a terrible green carousel. Those who cannot overcome their fear are called chickens by the staff. And the "Excrime" attraction is generally in fourth place in the ranking of the most terrible attractions in the world.

In order to get to the Stratosphere restaurant, you must go through the same security control as at Kennedy Airport! But what wouldn’t you do for good food and a beautiful view? In addition, the floor in this restaurant rotates in a circle, so the landscape outside the window is constantly changing.

Hotel Bellagio

It is difficult for a wealthy tourist to decide on a hotel in the city. Belagio is considered one of the most luxurious. The hotel is named after a beautiful Italian town in the Alps and everything here is reminiscent of Italy. If the outside is a palace, then the courtyards are a cozy villa. It has its own gardens and 5 huge heated swimming pools.

A lot of money was spent on the construction of the hotel: the only watch on the walls is a Rollex, the next thing that impresses is the chandelier with two thousand handmade glass petals. Every day the hotel staff replaces withered flowers with fresh ones, and every month the decorations are completely changed.

But the most amazing thing awaits you in the rooms. The rooms have two rooms and two baths, or even more. There are real paintings hanging on the walls, not some kind of reproductions. One bath is finished in Italian marble, while the other, a Jacuzzi, offers stunning views of Las Vegas Street.

The rooms are luxurious, and the prices are, frankly speaking, ridiculous. The solution to this is simple. The main income comes from "Belagio" slot machines, and the hotel is so, under load.

Lumpuru Brain Health Center

To better understand the city, you need to walk around it on foot; you can’t see everything from a car. Vegas during the day is not as bright and colorful as in the evening, but there is something to see, for example, a unique brain treatment clinic.

The Lumpuru Brain Health Center was recently opened. According to the architects, the unusual shape of the building lifts the mood of patients and staff, thus promoting a speedy recovery.

Boulevard Strip

All the world's most striking landmarks are recreated on the Strip. Only all this, although impressive in its large size, is just a grandiose, expensive fake. And all in order to lure tourists and their wallets inside.

The Strip during the day

The Strip at night

Not far from Vegas, a 4-hour drive away, is the famous Grand Canyon - a true miracle of nature. You can get there by car, but if you have the means, you can fly there by helicopter. For helicopter travel you need to pay 500 dollars. Not a cheap pleasure, but absolutely worth the price.

From a bird's eye view you can see that the city stands alone in the middle of the desert surrounded by mountains. It is also clearly visible that in Vegas there are only a couple of wide streets with hotels and casinos, and everything else is blocks of one-story houses.

The city quickly ends and the rocky Mahami desert begins. A few minutes into the flight, a lake appears, created by the dammed Colorado River. Just when you think you can't see anything else, the Grand Canyon appears!

For 10 million years, the Colorado River carved a hole in the ground half a millimeter a year, and this is how the Grand Canyon was formed.

It is in such places that a person probably dreams of being a bird.

Las Vegas for budget tourists

The easiest way to get to the city is by monorail. The ticket is not cheap - 5 dollars. The monorail is a fully automated railway that runs through the entire city. There are no drivers here, all trains are controlled by a computer. They spent $650 million on this 6.5-kilometer-long space monorail, $100 million per kilometer.

Accommodation

For budget tourists, a hostel is ideal for an overnight stay. A hostel is a widespread alternative to a hotel all over the world; in our opinion, it’s just a hostel. There is a shared toilet and shower, and there is a shared kitchen where you can prepare purchased groceries. As a rule, the room is designed for 6-12 people. People from all over the world live here.

The cost of such a bed ranges from 5 to 20 dollars. The $20 price often also includes free breakfast.

Everything in the rooms is quite clean, but poor. The curtains and bed linen are clean, the room is warm. The view outside the window is quite decent. And sometimes there is even free shampoo in the shower, but more often there is no hot water.

According to the rules of living in a hostel, no one can be shared in a double room, especially a person of the opposite sex.

For breakfast at the hostel you can make yourself coffee, toast with jam and peanut butter, and here, in the kitchen, you can chat with other guests. The hostel neighbors are people from different parts of the world who have traveled to more countries than people with a gold credit card. Which once again proves that you don’t have to have a lot of money to travel.

Food

For a person with a small amount of money, the problem of food becomes acute: restaurants are beyond their means, but they still want to eat. Therefore, the ideal option is buffets; they are available in every hotel. The system is like this: you pay for admission at the checkout, go inside and eat to your heart's content everything you see.

Single admission to the hotel buffet costs $17, but you can come multiple times a day and the ticket will cost about $30 for adults because kids eat free.

But there is a lot of food and it is quite decent, you can take a break from American hamburgers and potatoes, grab yourself some soup, the usual mashed potatoes and a piece of meat. There are fruits and even dessert. The system is amazing, it's a pity that taking food out of the buffet is prohibited.

Wedding in Las Vegas: is it possible?

According to the laws of the state of Nevada, anyone can get married in Las Vegas: quickly and without red tape. Churches advertise their services everywhere.

Some of them work 24 hours a day: you arrive, get married, leave, and you don’t even have to get out of the car. However, the certificate issued is genuine and has legal force.

The ease of marriage attracts couples from all over the world to Las Vegas. In America, it is so fashionable to get married in Las Vegas that entire lines actually form. Despite the fact that hundreds of weddings take place every day in Las Vegas, locals don't seem to get tired of it. All the way, the newlyweds are greeted by pedestrians and passing cars honking their horns.

After the wedding you can go to Honeymoon to Venice. Hotel "Venice" is one of the most interesting. Here, on the second floor, under an artificial sky, there are real canals filled with water, along which gondolas float past Piazza Sanmarco under the Venetian bridges. Here you will see ceilings that imitate the real sky, changing color depending on the time of day.

If, upon arriving in Las Vegas, you manage to visit at least some of the listed attractions and not lose all your money, then you didn’t come to this city in vain!

Before choosing an evening show, I spent a lot of time reading reviews and reviews about the best shows in Las Vegas. Initially, we wanted to go to the “O” show of Cirque Du Soleil, which takes place at the Bellagio Hotel, but just before departure we were strongly recommended to pay attention to the show of professional acrobats from the Le Reve group - The Dream, who are performing on the stage of the Wynn Theater at the Wynn Las Vegas. We listened to the recommendation and did not regret it.

In general, I don’t really like the circus and everything connected with it; I never liked tricks and clowns. But, you know, now I’m writing this report, when a lot of time has already passed, and I still get goosebumps all over my body from the impressions that I received.

The Dream performance takes place from Friday to Tuesday at 19.00 and 21.30; Wednesday and Thursday are the artists' days off.

Ticket prices for the show vary by location.

Poolside seating - seats in rows 14-16 at the very bottom by the pool. Cost $115 + taxes. I would highly not recommend these places, because you will sit with your head up all the time. There is also the option of getting wet.

Golden circle seating - seats in rows 18-24. Cost $155 + taxes. In my opinion, the most optimal places are those from which you can see both the lower and upper parts of the stage equally well. Actually, we took the 19th row.

Grandview seating - seats on rows 26-31. Cost $140+ taxes. The upper part is better visible, but what is happening below is not at all visible. For those who like to see the whole picture in general.

Dream seating - seats in the last row in sectors C, D, E. Cost $165 + taxes. Luxurious seats with individual HD monitors, including behind-the-scenes views.

Indulgence seating - seats in the last row in sectors A, B, F. Cost $205 + taxes. The most expensive seats, also equipped with cool chairs and private monitors. But here in addition there are a bunch of different bonuses: free champagne, strawberries with chocolate, truffles, as well as VIP access to certain restaurants and nightclubs of the Wynn and Encore hotels.

It is better to arrive to the performance 15-20 minutes before the start. Everyone is searched and invited to take seats according to the tickets purchased. Taking photos and videos is allowed, but flash is strictly prohibited.

When you get inside, you immediately pay attention to the scene, which consists entirely of a huge swimming pool. At first you can’t even imagine what ordinary water contains, but the action begins and you realize that the water is here main character. It falls from above like a waterfall, shoots out from the depths of the stage, suddenly appears and scatters again throughout the entire circumference of the hall.

Throughout the entire performance, the international team of professionals keeps you in a pleasant emotional stress, performing spectacular stunts on the verge of human capabilities. They either jump from a great height into the pool, performing acrobatic acts, or emerge from the hidden depths of the pedestal, demonstrating water tricks, or show the audience passionate dances, or suddenly find themselves among you. All this is accompanied by colorful costumes, a constantly transforming stage and an enchanting plot intertwining light, water and amazing live music that immerses you in a magical fairy tale called a dream. Actually, that’s what the show is called in translation.
