In addition to the opportunity to share experiences with a friend, the co-op mode also has a purely practical advantage - you can resurrect each other, which significantly increases the chances of survival in the madness that is happening on the screen. In addition, Cuphead can be played on one screen, which is considered almost a rarity these days.

We will not talk about the phenomenon of PUBG and its victorious march across computers and consoles around the world. Let's just talk about the difference in gameplay for a single person and a pre-formed squad.
When you land on the island yourself, the whole world becomes your enemy. If you met someone, kill him, otherwise he will kill you. Grab everything you see, otherwise someone will beat you to it. This game tickles your nerves and allows you to experience the atmosphere of survival on your own skin.
But everything changes when you play with two or four players. Here you know that one of your comrades will definitely cover your butt sticking out of the grass and point to the enemy flashing on the horizon. Don't forget to share weapons, ammo and medicine with your friends. There is little use for a team in which one player has a whole arsenal in his pockets, and the rest are running around with nothing... a frying pan. A well-coordinated team in which players help each other has a much greater chance of success than those who silently run away in different directions, just trying to line their pockets.
Finally, if in a single-player game, transport is nothing more than a way to move faster around the map and periodically crush someone, then in team mode, party members can shoot directly from the car, turning an ordinary Dacia Logan into a deadly coffin on wheels. PUBG for Solo and PUBG for Squads are two decidedly great but different games. And to get the full experience, it’s worth trying both.
Worth mentioning
Literally missed one point in the voting Divinity: Original Sin 2, but not mentioning it would be very unfair. 9. Vikings: Wolves of Midgard
What could be more fun than driving a two-handed ax into a Jotun's skull? Only two axes! We take a pinch of the Vikings series, a little Diablo 3 blood, Sacred 3 raw meat, mix it all well... and we get a good co-op. But only for two. And only on the Internet. Well, the guys from Game Farm don’t have the Blizzard budget: they didn’t have time to work out the net code for 4 or a couch co-op on one TV.

Battletoads & Double Dragon, Streets of Rage, memories of the 90s - all this, as a rule, comes in one package. If you don’t want to breathe dust while digging up “Dandy” or “Sega”, if dancing with tambourines while installing emulators is not your style, try Mother Russia Bleeds. Apparently, there is at least one Russian emigrant in the French development team: the details are depicted with love and knowledge. And in terms of mechanics - a real Double Dragon. Only instead of Billy and Jimmy - Ivan and Nina.

The Division is a great game for having fun with friends: walking through a half-dead, desperate metropolis has never been so exciting! But keep in mind: there is a lot of co-op fun here, for tens of hours, but then the harsh mathematical simulator begins. We need to think about what and how to upgrade next, and where to get the materials for this. Grinding becomes truly Korean, which is no longer as fun as just mindlessly shooting at bobbleheads. And the “boobs” themselves in high-level content are becoming too thick-skinned.

Beautiful locations and the strongest shooting mechanics - it’s not for nothing that Bungie has been making Halo for almost its entire life. The principles of a shooter have been multiplied by the fundamental rules of an RPG, and the result is entertainment that is yet to be found. Unfortunately, all high-level content is blocked from players who cannot call themselves absolutely hardcore. You need to gather as many as 6 people into a raid, and then swear at each other for a long time: you #%$* didn’t get the ball, and you &^$@ didn’t jump on the Hive ships. This doesn’t really look like a cheerful cooperative relaxation...

So first prize goes to Borderlands 2! After all, the only things that matter here are gazillions of cannons, hordes of comical mobs and toilet humor (how have you ever dropped a purple shotgun straight from the toilet!?) humor. No one will force you to comply with the tedious “raid mechanics” - know to hold the trigger, and don’t die too often. There are several characters in the game, and each of them has their own characteristics - some shoot better, while others fight. They won't let us really shoot - there aren't that many cartridges. But hand-to-hand combat - please. If you want, hit with an oar, if you want, hit with a bat.
You can play the game alone or with friends. The second option, of course, is much more interesting and fun.
7. Gears of War: judgment
In fourth place is one of the best Microsoft exclusives.
The most insidious and beautiful game of the Bill Corporation. Lots of weapons and meat, a very good plot. We won’t even talk about multiplayer - it turned out just great. In our opinion, this is the best part of the Gears of Var series, especially in terms of online play.

Periodically, one of the players experiences hallucinations, and the second player does not see them. The player, under the influence of hallucinations, can shoot in different directions or even at his partner.
