How to spend self-government day. Self-Government Day is a traditional form of participation - document

In last year’s competition material, “Continuity in the system of student self-government as a factor in the development of a child’s leadership qualities,” a description was given of the school system of student self-government of our school from the second to the eleventh grade. One of the most significant school-wide activities organized by the students themselves is the traditional educational role-playing game “Self-Government Day”.

A game? Role-playing game! According to the roles, according to the rules, on the day - vice versa. Often, “Self-Government Day” in educational institutions turns into a “day of idleness.” Many teachers consider this day lost for the educational process. Many students consider “standing at the blackboard” as entertainment... And yet, in many schools in Russia this day exists. Every year, either on March 8 or on Teacher's Day, thousands of schools celebrate Self-Government Day, proudly declaring children's initiative, civic education, which actually ends on this day. 8 years ago, the staff of our school, concerned about this problem, together with the students, developed an educational role-playing game “Self-Government Day”. This article presents methodological recommendations on how to conduct a high-quality, productive, full-fledged school day, despite the fact that the children themselves will become teachers. The success of the game largely depends on its preparation, which begins a month before the designated day.

Basic rules of the game:

To foresee is to manage!

All students in grades 5-11, regardless of academic performance, who want to become an understudy teacher write a job application, undergo an individual interview with the understudy director, then prepare a lesson plan with the help of a subject teacher and defend their lesson plan with the understudy director. at the gaming teachers' council. Understudy teachers draw up the lesson schedule and are responsible for all preparation. In total, the gaming administration includes 9 people:

  • director;
  • Deputy for Information and Analytical Issues;
  • 3 deputies for organizing the educational process: grades 1-4; 5-7 grades; 8-11 grades;
  • Deputy for educational work;
  • 2 administrators on duty: first and second shift;
  • Director of security.

Teachers are assigned to play class 12 “U”, which also teaches traditional lessons: psychology, music, labor. On the day of self-government, teacher councils of substitute teachers and administrative meetings are held according to plan. The administration analyzes the work and makes proposals for holding such a day next year. During the working day, all back-up teachers fill out a “back-up teacher checklist” with feedback on their work and the work of their classes. The school press center photographs all the events of the day: lessons, meetings and prepares materials for slide shows. The day ends with a bright multimedia slide show and a concert “For beautiful ladies!” (by tradition, only young men are on stage) and a dance program.

Algorithm for successful organization of the educational process.

All preparation is carried out without interruption from the educational process, between shifts, in free time.

1 month before the game you must:

  1. Conduct a pedagogical meeting at which to present the Regulations on Self-Government Day.
  2. Prepare detailed Memos for class teachers and subject teachers.
  3. Conduct elections of an alternate Director from the School Duma and make a decision on the competitive recruitment of alternate administrators from students in grades 8-11, and the date of the interview.
  4. Approve the composition of backup administrators and familiarize them with job responsibilities.
  5. Entrust and assign responsibility to backup administrators for further training.

3 weeks before the game, the responsibilities of the backups include:

Who? What is he doing?
1

Director

Conducts an administrative meeting, at which a detailed plan for preparing for Self-Government Day is developed, appoints pedagogical councils and administrative meetings.
2 Prepares sample documents: job applications, checklists, designs an information stand for substitute teachers, prepares a press release for the school press centers “Pyatachok” and “Fifth Element”.
3

They draw up a lesson schedule (3 lessons each), announce vacancies and conduct a competitive selection of substitute teachers based on an interview; a job application is signed only if there is a lesson summary agreed with the subject teacher. Recruitment is continuous: for grades 1-4, understudies for grades 5-7 are recruited; for 5-7 - understudies from 8-9; for 8-9 – understudies from 10 classes; for 10-11 out of 11, and 11th graders can choose any lesson in any grade from 1st to 11th.

4 Announces the recruitment of boys in grades 8-11 to prepare the traditional concert “For Beautiful Ladies!”, forms a creative group, organizes rehearsals.
5 They are thinking over a plan for organizing school duty, preparing information for the classes on duty that day, preparing a speech at the teachers’ council on the topic “Business etiquette and teacher’s clothing style.”
6 Develops a plan for the work of the service during the day, recruits 11th grade students of 8 people to the security service team.
7 Teacher - understudy Selects an item of interest; undergoes an interview with the assistant principal; writes a job application; prepares and coordinates lesson notes with the subject teacher.

2 weeks before the game:

Who? What is he doing?
1

Director

Conducts the first pedagogical council of understudies “Image, etiquette and clothing style of a teacher,” which clearly shows the position of the understudy director: Self-Government Day is not a joke, but a serious matter that teachers have entrusted to us and together we must do it efficiently and well! It is advisable to invite a real director to this teachers’ meeting so that he can “give a fiery speech”; it is important to create such an atmosphere so that the children really have an understanding of the situation. Set your tasks very clearly:

  • The understudy is your role. On this day you must play the ideal teacher, one who you yourself would like and respect.
  • Wear only formal business style, accordingly hairstyle, second shoes, badge, smile and only a friendly tone.
  • Labor discipline. Lateness is excluded; you must be in the office 10 minutes before the start of class. During the lesson, do not close the door to the office; during breaks, keep order in the office.
  • All grades are given on the checklist; logs are not used in the game.
  • It is necessary to give children detailed advice on how to organize a lesson in such a way as to eliminate discipline issues. Conduct conversations with class groups about the importance and seriousness of this Day.
2 Deputy for Information and Analytical Issues

Collects applications, schedules interviews, draws up memos, orders, prepares game documents, communicates with subject teachers on various organizational issues.

3 Deputies for organizing the educational process: grades 1-4; 5-7 grades; 8-11 grades

They continue to recruit substitute teachers; conduct interviews, approve lesson notes, consult teachers, introduce them to a set of game documents, display the necessary vacancies on the information stand, and prepare the necessary documents.

4 Deputy for educational work;

Conducts concert rehearsals, continues to recruit concert numbers, selects program presenters from the creative group, and together they come up with original entertainment packages for concert numbers with theatrical elements.

5 Duty administrators: first and second shift;

They instruct classes on the rules of behavior at school, especially during breaks, prepare games with the class on duty during breaks, and distribute duty officers to posts in accordance with the Regulations on Duty.

6 Director of security

Instructs recruited personnel, familiarizes them with their responsibilities, and assigns them to positions.

7 Teacher - understudy

Attends the pedagogical council, coordinates with the teacher and prepares lesson notes for approval, thinks over his style and manner of communicating with children, and studies game documentation.

1 week before the game

Who? What is he doing?
1

Director

Conducts an administrative meeting at which each administrator reports on readiness, discusses work issues, makes decisions, and prepares the final version of the Order approving the daily routine, calls, and backup teachers.

2 Deputy for Information and Analytical Issues

Generates sets of game documentation and produces badges.

3 Deputies for organizing the educational process: grades 1-4; 5-7 grades; 8-11 grades

They conduct interviews with teachers, check whether all understudies have agreed on lesson notes with subject teachers; check the schedule, lesson times, etc.; fill all vacancies; check the availability and quality of the notes.

4 Deputy for educational work;

Conducts concert rehearsals, sets the time for the dress rehearsal, adjusts the script, is involved in directing, music and lighting design.

5 Duty administrators: first and second shift;

They continue to instruct classes.

6 Director of security

Provides training to service members.

7 Teacher - understudy

They continue to undergo interviews, rehearse lessons, consult with subject teachers, get acquainted with the game documentation, and prepare notes for approval (for those who did not pass in advance).

1 day before the game:

  1. Pedagogical advice for substitute teachers: familiarization with the Order, checking the availability of notes, work issues.
  2. Understudies administrative meeting: step-by-step development of the day.

LEARNING TO SPEND SELF-GOVERNMENT DAY AT SCHOOL

The work of a teacher is a noble work. Everyone has heard this statement, including children. And as you know, the best way to verify the validity of a statement is to test it through your own experience. This is precisely the main educational task of self-government day at school.

The essence of the event

Usually a day such as the Self-Government Holiday is dedicated to a solemn date, but most often they choose Teacher’s Day, which takes place on the last working day of the first week of October. Self-Government Day is popular with both high school students and their wards - junior and middle school students. In honor of the holiday, high school students take on the functions of a teacher - teach lessons, give grades and perform the duties of the school's educational service. This work allows the teaching staff to implement a number of psychological and pedagogical tasks.

If we talk about the goals that self-government helps a teacher achieve, then these are:

    the opportunity to do “paper” work, for which there is always no time (fill out a journal, correct students’ personal files, check notebooks, etc.);

    see your students in a different role, clarify for yourself some aspects of their character (the event helps to reveal the leadership qualities of children, as well as their moral and ethical principles);

    take a break from your usual routine.

This day is no less important for schoolchildren. Typically, self-government is entrusted to high school students who are just deciding on their future profession. And the opportunity to try on the social mask of a teacher can really help them:

    understand whether a profession that involves working with people suits their character;

    is it possible to consider the prospect of teaching activity in the future;

    identify your qualities as a leader, a manager who is responsible for organizing the work of a group of people; establish contact with others.

Preparation

Any event held at school requires considerable effort to organize it. And this process is further complicated by the fact that children are involved in it, both as organizers and as the target audience.Therefore, the teacher’s task is to correct the work of both groups of participants. And we need to start with those who will study under the guidance of high school students on this day. Naturally, kids are more “accommodating”: they like to be led by those who are only slightly older than themselves. They try on this image for themselves in the future. But problems may arise with middle-level students: youthful maximalism and non-acceptance of authority leads to denial of the very possibility of being under the guidance of those who are only 1-2 years older than themselves. Therefore, the teacher should have a conversation with the children and emphasize that in a couple of years they themselves will have to become the same “teachers”, so it is important to gain experience and learn from the mistakes of others. But, of course, it is very important to prepare high school teachers themselves:

    Talk to each child and find out which subject is closer to him, what administrative role he could fulfill. To do this, it is important to take into account the personal qualities of the student. So, if a boy or girl has a calm disposition, then, most likely, the role of head teacher of educational work will not suit a teenager with such a character. But an active, active schoolchild will be just capable of such a task.

    To help understand the intricacies of drawing up a lesson plan, that is, to orientate in calendar planning, study the topic of the previous lesson and work on a new one so as to be able to present it to the children in the class. And also draw up a lesson summary according to the rules (with goals, objectives, course of the lesson and a mandatory indication of the time for completing each stage).

Understudy teachers must dress in accordance with the dress code of the educational institution.

A lesson plan for an understudy teacher can be drawn up according to a plan for a combined type of lesson, that is, include the following stages:

    Reporting the topic of the training session and its goals;

    Frontal inspection of the home building (not just one student answers, but several comment on a certain element of the work);

    Presentation of new material; work to consolidate the topic;

    Discussion of lesson results, grading;

    Explanation of homework for the next lesson.

The new teacher can choose the form of the lesson at his own discretion: a debate game (discussion from different perspectives of a particular problematic issue, for example, the act of Raskolnikov or Taras Bulba), a lesson-journey into the world of the unknown (for example, versions of the origin of Stonehenge), a lesson- a quest on interesting facts (especially when it comes to history and geography lessons, children are asked to consistently answer questions, complete tasks and thus earn points for the final grade). The option is selected taking into account the interests of high school students and their students.

The class register is still filled out by the teacher on this day.

Celebration of Self-Government Day

If you want the holiday to be a success, you need to carefully prepare it in advance. Then all stages of the event will take place smoothly, and no chaos will arise. Traditionally, self-government day includes several stages.

Meeting of participants

This meeting is attended by substitute teachers, the head teacher for educational work, the school director and subject teachers (optional). Administration representatives:

    talk about the rights and responsibilities of students and teachers;

    explain the task to new teachers (it is easy to present new material in class, practice it in practice, reinforce it with exercises and evaluate students’ work);

    express wishes for conducting lessons in a particular class (perhaps there are classes with a selection of very active children, in this case it is appropriate to do a little independent work or complete a group task, and in a team where there are many underachieving students, it is better to give preference to a playful form of lesson organization ).

The school principal must hand over the symbolic symbol of running the school to his understudy. It is important to create a friendly, collaborative atmosphere so that children are not afraid to ask questions and openly discuss their concerns about the new role. This kind of work makes the team of students even more united.

The great teacher A.S. Makarenko said: “Any, even small, joy that stands in front of the team makes it stronger, more cheerful, more friendly...”

Ideas for organizing the educational process

Self-Government Day is distinguished by a non-standard organization of educational work, which implies the inclusion of additional points in the usual routine along with the usual lessons. All stages of the lesson must be carefully thought out by high school teachers.

Festive line

The well-known saying: “As you name the ship, so it will sail” can quite rightly be paraphrased for the line on Self-Government Day.It should be organized, interesting and fast so that the audience does not get bored. As a rule, the school director takes the floor on the line, who hands over the symbolic key to the educational institution to his understudy colleague, then the new director says congratulatory words to the teachers and reads out his first decree. This document usually tells about all the events on the holiday and gives a list of instructions to the students (for example, during recess, water the flowers in the teachers’ room, clean up the school grounds during a labor lesson, etc.). Gifts are also given to teachers at the line. By the way, it doesn’t have to be something material. A KVN song or number will be a wonderful surprise for teachers.

Lessons

Then all students go to their lessons, and teachers can relax. By the way, some classes can go on an educational excursion to a museum or to a performance in a theater during class time. The main thing is that it is not just a lesson outside the classroom, but a useful pastime, that is, the topic of the presentation or exhibition must correspond to the curriculum of a particular school subject. You can also plan a trip to the skating rink or water park during your physical education lesson.Such forms of organizing the educational process require consistent adherence to the following stages:

    compiling a list of students going on an excursion, to the theater or to the skating rink;

    explanation of the rules of behavior on the street and during the performance;

    building children;

    organized exit from school;

    familiarization with the layout of a museum or theater building (show where the toilet, buffet are);

    the performance itself;

    return to school;

    discussion of what was seen.

Please note that children must still be accompanied by a responsible person, for example, a representative of the school’s parent committee or a teacher who is partial to beauty and is willing to sacrifice communication with colleagues for the sake of an exhibition or performance in the theater.

Preparation and implementation of the concert

The festive part is a concert that students prepare for teachers. The concert is prepared by children, but it would still be better if the organizing teachers help with rehearsals. However, before we talk about the scenario of the event, let’s dwell on the design of the school corridors, classrooms and assembly hall.

How to decorate a room

It is no secret that the holiday atmosphere begins with the decoration of the room, so it is important to choose original and stylish decorative elements. It can be:

    wall newspapers in recreation (for example, made in the form of a collage with photographs of teachers, or like a comic strip with humorous comments - the main thing is that they do not contain unacceptable liberties and rudeness);

    paper garlands or balloons (such voluminous decorations can be used to decorate offices);

    exhibitions of postcards and children's drawings (teachers will be happy to look at the creativity of their students in the teachers' room, especially if they did not know about the upcoming exhibition in advance);

    fresh flowers in the assembly hall will give you an incredible feeling of celebration;

    displays of hand-made products with a fair (by the way, this part of the holiday can be done in the form of a charity event to raise funds to buy food for homeless animals, for example).

School premises can be decorated in a variety of ways. But it is important that the design follows the general style.

Holiday scenario

The script for the holiday concert should be prepared in advance. Then all the numbers will be well worked out and there will be no hiccups in the event itself. Some numbers can be recorded in advance and shown on the big screen in the school lobby on a holiday. The concert may include:

    poetic congratulations from teachers (it is advisable that the words be prepared by the students themselves and not taken from the Internet);

    songs and dance numbers (perhaps it makes sense to think about how to combine these types of creativity into a single number);

    comic skits (such inserts can be prepared by children of junior and middle school);

    humorous performances (high school students can prepare performances in the spirit of KVN teams, playing out their own characters and funny situations that arise in class).

And one more point that needs to be addressed separately is the entertainment.Concert presenters must not only look good on stage, but also have the ability to improvise and quickly react to any hiccups that arise.

Summarizing

Any event must have a logical ending, including summing up. Self-Government Day can be summarized in the form of a ruler. At this general meeting, the understudy director:

    voices what successes/failures there were in his work and the work of high school teachers;

    notes the special successes of individual class teams or students;

    provides a photo report about the past day.

It is very important that the director and teachers take the floor to sum up the results. In his speech the leader:

    thanks the children for their work;

    briefly analyzes the work of the administration and individual teachers;

    notes the level of preparation for the festive concert.

In general, even if there are some shortcomings in the event, it is important to highlight the successes of the student body in the field of organizing the educational process. At the summing up line, it is necessary to thank the high school students for organizing the holiday.

Self-government Day at school is a holiday for teachers and students. But any celebration must be well prepared. Only then will everyone be satisfied with the event, and schoolchildren and teachers will get to know each other from a new perspective. And, perhaps, in your educational institution, a new good tradition will appear in honor of the holiday of handing over the reins of power to young leaders, who, in turn, will be able to show their best qualities and think about choosing a pedagogical path for themselves in the future.

I approve

We know a lot of professions, but the teacher is the most important of all.

Presenter-1:

Teacher's Day is a special holiday. Today every person celebrates, because whoever he is - a president, a sailor, a driver, a doctor, a musician - first of all, he is someone's former student.

Presentation about the teachers of the Rongin school.

Slide 5

Presenter-2: Today is a very unusual day at our school. We celebrate Teacher's Day and hold Self-Government Day.

Slide 6

Presenter-1: We will try ourselves as teachers.

Presenter-2:

We need optimism today!

And so that the teacher does not wither,

We'll tighten our belts

And we will not live “in sadness.”

Presenter-1:

Of course, the salary is meager.

Well? Let's not be discouraged!

After all, Teacher's Day is pealing

We will remember it for a long time!

Presenter-2:

And this is also pleasure,

And this is also grace.

I want, friends, from this stage

I'll tell you a fairy tale.

Presenter-1:

In the school kingdom, in the state, there lived a school director, Nadezhda Svet Mikhailovna. And she had her mouth full of worries.

Director:

Get the school in order

And make repairs

Hold teacher councils

And bring food.

But the main concern is

Find such workers

To eat for two,

And they worked for seven,

So that children are loved dearly

And so that they are unmarried,

To master all the techniques,

They knew how to whitewash ceilings, paint desks,

So that children are protected more than our eyes

And they could always entertain.

Presenter-2:

And then one day Nadezhda Svet Mikhailovna walked through the market

Buy some goods.

Presenter-1:

And cheerful people come towards her,

Sings a sonorous song.

Buffoons appear

They sing a song based on the Russian folk song “Peddlers.”

Skomorokh-1:

Oh, it’s full of specialties,

Come and choose!

Young people are a sight for sore eyes,

Get to work!

Skomorokh-2:

Everyone has solid knowledge

They love to sing and dance

And they master the techniques so well that

You can give titles!

Director:

What can I say here?

Choice is simply grace!

Well, for there to be success,

Of course, I won't take everyone.

But only...

(calls the children-teachers) and they go on stage.

This is how new reigning persons appeared in the Kingdom of the Russian Magisterium, abbreviated as CIA, and their coronation and registration took place.

Fanfare 1, the registrar comes out.

Slide 7

Registrar: Today, on the eve of Teacher's Day, you are joining the CIA.

Anyone joining the CIA must:

I. Arm yourself with plans and notes, lists and other papers to prove your professionalism.

II. Remember what they have long said in Rus': “Talent must be hungry.” Therefore, give up on everything and eat exclusively spiritual food.

III. Amaze yourself and others with your own invention, imagination, talent, enthusiasm, as well as modesty and politeness.

And now I ask you to take an oath and after each point repeat three times: “I swear!”

Solemn oath

  1. We swear to teach only based on the state program - a step to the right, a step to the left is considered an attempt to escape.

We swear!

  1. We vow to uphold the Olympic motto “Faster, Higher, Stronger.” This means: don’t run faster than the wind during recess, don’t jump higher than the administration, don’t be stronger than Atlanta, and don’t carry bags with notebooks weighing more than 10 kilograms.

We swear!

  1. We swear not to scream louder than the children and forgive them for their pranks.

We swear!

  1. We swear to love all children and maintain loyalty to the school.

We swear!

Teachers:

Today we dedicate you

In high rank of teacher.

First, let's help a little,

The guys are preparing surprises.

From now on you are priestesses of good.

You will be like kittens

Look for germs of intelligence in them.

Teach, develop and educate,

And there is no other way.

And count your nerves and strength,

Who came to school - you can’t leave it!

This is reasonable, good, eternal,

I came to school and you are ours.

Glory awaits you, dear, endless,

And instead of a salary - a mirage!

Song to the tune of “They teach at school.”

Complete all the lessons, clean up the classroom after yourself,

Go on duty and check a bunch of notebooks.

Teachers' council and class hour

They take our lives.

And the family sometimes makes a fuss.

Moreover, have time to go to the store,

Warm your husband with affection,

Prepare a hearty dinner for him and the children.

Read all the newspapers, sketch out a lesson plan,

And you yourself need rest too.

You step on the threshold

This fabulous country.

And today we are holding a dedication.

After all, your profession is so important all over the world,

Well, the main weapon is patience!

Presenter-3:

Look at them, at those whose proud name is “Teacher”. And in order for you to better remember the name of your profession, let's play a game. I ask a question, and you answer in unison: “Teacher.”

Who answers the well-known question “why?” always finds the answer...

Teacher.

Presenter-3:

Who, using the full range of their vocal cords, tries to impart during recess the knowledge that they did not have time to teach during the lesson?

Teacher.

Presenter-3:

Who in one working day can act as a public figure, psychologist, artist, educator and astronaut (if we are talking about overloads)?

Teacher.

Presenter-3:

Who comes up with four to five hours of homework, distracting you from the corrupting influence of the street and TV?

Teacher.

Director:

I chose according to my liking

I made a great choice!

I see great talent in them,

I accept everyone with all my heart.

Today you took an oath,

Congratulations were accepted.

Let there be light in our kingdom

You will all be warm.

Presenter-3:

So they began to live and live in the school kingdom, in the Ronga state, for a long time and happily. Soon the fairy tale is told, but not soon the deed is done. And now we invite you all to lessons
