An equilateral triangle in Photoshop is drawn using vector objects. You can draw a filled triangle, or a triangle with a frame. Select drawing polygons (Polygon tool).

Select the shapes (horizontal key U), then the Polygon tool (Polygon Tool), see the screenshot below.

Set the "Fill Pixels" property.

Select the fill color of the triangle (the first color in the toolbar), and draw a triangle with the mouse.

The triangle should be drawn on a new empty layer, without any fill. You can create a new layer by simultaneously pressing the keys Alt + Ctrl + Shift + N.

Set the value to "Paths" (paths in Russian).

Draw a triangle with the mouse.

Convert the vector triangle into a selection (Select) by pressing Ctrl + Enter.

Paint the selection (in this case, white).

Alt + ← BackSpace - first selected color.

Ctrl + ← BackSpace - second selected color.

When I was a “teapot”, I was faced with the need to draw a triangle in Photoshop. Then I was unable to cope with this task without outside help.

It turned out that everything is not as complicated as it might seem at first glance. In this lesson I will share with you my experience in drawing triangles.

There are two (known to me) ways.

The first method allows you to draw an equilateral triangle. To do this we need a tool called "Polygon". It is located in the shapes section on the right toolbar.

This tool allows you to draw regular polygons with a specified number of sides. In our case there will be three of them (sides).

After setting the fill color

Place the cursor on the canvas, hold down the left mouse button and draw our figure. During the creation process, the triangle can be rotated without releasing the mouse button.

In addition, you can draw a shape without a fill, but with an outline. Contour lines are configured in the top toolbar. Filling, or rather the lack thereof, can also be adjusted there.

The next tool for drawing triangles is "Straight-line lasso".

This tool allows you to draw triangles with any proportions. Let's try to draw a rectangular one.

For a right triangle, we will need to accurately draw a right (who would have thought...) angle.

To make the selection “attracted” to the guides, turn on the snap function.

Then right-click inside the selection and select, depending on your needs, context menu items "Perform Fill" or "Stroke".

After deselecting ( CTRL+D) we get it ready right triangle.

These are the two simplest ways to draw triangles in Photoshop.

At first glance, in Adobe Photoshop CS5 doesn't have tools to create a triangle, but only the first one. Even a short acquaintance with the program will suggest several ways to solve this problem. We bring to your attention the simplest of them.

Launch Adobe Photoshop CS5 and create a new document: click the “File” menu item, then “New” (or a faster option - the Ctrl+N key combination), in the “Height” and “Width” fields, enter, for example, 500 each, and click Create.

Find the Layers panel, by default it is in the lower right corner of the program, and if it is missing, press F7. In the “Layers” tab, click the “Create a new layer” button (its icon is made in the form of a flipped paper sheet) and name it “Triangle”. To rename a layer, double-click on its name, enter text from the keyboard and press Enter.

Select the “Rectangular Marquee” tool (hotkey M, switch between adjacent elements Shift+M) and use it to draw a square: hold down the left button somewhere in the upper left part of the work area, drag the mouse to the lower right part and release the button. You will get a frame, the borders of which will look like “walking ants” - this is the selection area.

If you want to paint over this area, activate the Fill tool (hotkey "G", switch between adjacent tools - Shift + G), select a color (F6) and right-click inside the selection area.

Click the "Edit" menu item and then "Free Transform" (Ctrl+T) to invoke the object modification command. Transformation markers - small transparent squares - will appear in the corners and on each side of the rectangle. Right-click inside the selection area and select “Perspective” from the menu that appears. Click on the top left handle and drag it to the middle of the top side of the square. Together with the left side of the rectangle, it will move towards the center and Right side. The isosceles triangle is ready.

To save the result, press the key combination Ctrl+Shift+S, select the path, change the file type to Jpeg, specify a name and click “Save”.

Now just place the cursor at the point on the sheet from which you want to start drawing. Hold down the left mouse button and drag the rectangle as needed.

There is nothing easier than drawing a line. The tool of the same name is used for this.

For a circle, use the Shift key or the additional settings menu

Let's move on to how to draw a circle in Photoshop. Here everything happens in a similar way. Select the Ellipse tool and decide on the color and thickness of the outline. If you want to get a circle rather than an ellipse, hold down the “Shift” key on your keyboard or set “circle” in the geometric parameters section.

Now let's figure out how to draw a triangle in Photoshop. In this case, everything is not so obvious, but at the same time it is not at all more complicated. All you need to do is select “Polygons” and in the small “Sides” window, set the number of angles. Accordingly, to get a triangle, enter the number “3”. Then everything is done exactly the same as in previous cases. Using the Polygon tool, you can create a shape with any number of angles. If you need a right triangle, draw a square and then cut off half diagonally.

Let's look at how to draw an arrow in Photoshop. There are two ways to do this. The first is that you need to select the “Line” tool, then in the parameters window mark which side of the line the arrow will be on (at the beginning or at the end), then you need to set the thickness of the arrow in pixels.
