Phone games with excellent graphics. The most realistic graphics in the game: rating of the best projects

I'm sure many will say that choosing games with the best graphics is easier than, for example, games with the best plot or the most unpredictable ending. In the end, . But it's not that simple. Some things are really easy to evaluate - the quality of lighting, the realistic display of various materials (that is, does the metal body of the car look plastic) - everything is clear here.

But it happens that the engine is great, but the designers screwed up a little, and then we see not the best animations, primitive and monotonous landscapes, and so on. But it also happens differently - not the most powerful engine (hello Skyrim), but thanks to the efforts of the developers, everything and even more has been squeezed out of it. What is this all I'm leading to? Even a TOP 10 like this can be a little (just a little) subjective, because different people can evaluate game graphics differently.

Another thing you should remember is that games that are being rated are currently out - that is, up to January 2016. Therefore, projects such as Deus Ex: Mankind Divided And Dishonored 2(and others due out during 2016) will not be mentioned. And now that all the i's have been dotted, let's move on to our review.

10. Metal Gear Solid 5: Phantom Pain

Last Metal Gear(really the last one, because Hideo Kojima left, but the plot ended) amazes not only with its plot and gameplay. There are also excellent graphics here. Magnificent landscapes of the jungle and deserts, conversations with partners, excellent visual implementation of all game moments (for example, kidnapping pets using miniature balloons). Weather effects and changes in time of day are commonplace here. You can specially start landing in the evening, in order to admire the sunset, you can enjoy watching the explosion you created. It's not about shaders and pixels (although the engine is really good), the whole point is in the very atmosphere that the game's graphics create. And it deserves as much praise as the plot.

9. Call of Duty: Black Ops 3

A great depiction of a dystopian future. The smoke and explosions look great, the cityscapes are pleasing to the eye, and the characters don't look like plastic bobbleheads. The levels are varied, some are gloomy, others are a typical theater of war, and others... well, this is something strange, but, nevertheless, very beautiful. And if we remember the characters again, the facial animation is very well done. Here you can immediately see emotions, you don’t have to guess them, here you believe the actors, and this is worth a lot. In general, the game can be praised for its graphics. It’s just a pity that the plot let us down – but that’s a completely different story.

8. Project CARS

The graphics in this racing simulator are excellent. Every detail of your car is worked out, shiny surfaces don't look like varnished plastic, and weather effects not only affect the gameplay, but are also simply beautiful. And most importantly, when you’re rushing through the rain (the weather here changes in real time), or towards the sunset, don’t forget to breathe, because everything is so beautiful that it’s simply breathtaking. Yes, the game has some arcade feel, and in some places the gameplay is not the most sophisticated - but a lot can be forgiven for such graphics.

7. Batman: Arkham knight

A story about a famous Dark Knight It's not so much the level of special effects as it is the sophisticated design. No, we don’t have any special complaints about the engine - rain looks like rain, wet surfaces shine, everything explodes as expected - but that’s not the whole point. The most important thing is the elaboration of the city landscapes. Not the cardboard props of many shooters, but a real city with real, living people. Here you believe that this is an office building with many workers, “blue” and “white” collars, and this is a classic residential area. There is no falsehood, and therefore you understand much better and faster who you came to protect. In general, this is the same case when the designers squeezed everything that was possible out of the engine.

6. Witcher 3

Someone may be indignant about how he got here The Witcher 3. Yes, there was a situation that the developers themselves admitted - for the release version they somewhat reduced the quality of the graphics, because in the form in which the game was originally, no console would have supported it. But, firstly, many patches have been released to correct this problem. And secondly, the game should be praised, first of all, for the work of the designers, in particular for the way the nature is made here. Glares of light on the water, trees swaying in the wind, dust raised by the wind. Here the nature is not just realistic - here you believe that this is that very reality. Therefore, the game definitely deserves praise for the picture on the monitor.

5. Star Wars: Battlefront

In this game, the bet was made on nostalgic fans of the famous saga, who will not tolerate falsehood, and who need that very picture from that very film. Landscapes are easily recognizable and look literally photorealistic. Without any clue, we can say that this is Endor with its tall forests, and these are the deserts and canyons of Tatooine. And what kind of space there is and what kind of battles... Everything looks just great even on consoles, not to mention PC. Despite the fact that the game is not as dynamic as many other shooters, you can calmly enjoy all these beauties. In general, if you want to look at familiar landscapes up close, welcome to the front line.

4. Rise of the Tomb Rider

The same one. In the new part, the graphics clearly did not disappoint. Animal tracks in the snow, which can be used to track prey (by the way, this applies not only to animals). A camera that tries to show us all the delights of local landscapes. And Lara herself, who is always nice to look at. Speaking of landscapes, sometimes you just want to admire nature, and the game even encourages us to do this, giving us short breaks. What else is interesting about the picture - everything here is not only beautiful, everything here is also logical. These are not paper models, these are real houses, cars, trees and mountains. And here's another thing... When Lara does her acrobatic tricks, try not to stare too much, yeah?

3. Bloodborne

A strange situation with this game - magnificent dark landscapes, classic gothic as it is, well-made opponents, sometimes striking with their terrifying grandeur, sometimes causing genuine disgust - and no opportunity to admire it all. As soon as you gape, your head is torn off, just like in classic Gothic works. As a result, you never stop noticing all the beauties, no – they just put you in the right mood. You don’t expect anything good here, and you very quickly realize that these abandoned ruins were abandoned for a reason, and the blood on the walls is not decoration, but the remains of unlucky visitors. The picture perfectly complements the plot and gameplay, and does not stand alone, and this is pleasing.

2. Order: 1886

If you try to briefly describe this game, the following definition comes to mind - gothic interactive cinema. And, as in any movie, the picture is very important here. The detail and elaboration of the surrounding world is simply shocking. The first moments you just sit slack-jawed in front of the screen and admire the details of the environment. Everything has been worked out, even the smallest objects, and we can see them all up close. Then, when you take a little break from this activity, the landscapes begin - and then again you fall into prostration for a while. And then the movie (in the sense of action with shootouts) begins, which delivers the “finishing blow”. Yes, the game is short, but its graphics are simply amazing.

1. Dying Light

One could say that this is just a game about zombies with everything that goes with it, but fans might inadvertently beat you up for this. And they will be right, by the way. Besides the fact that the gameplay and plot are not entirely typical (In terms of gameplay, it’s a very good survival game, and in terms of the plot... well, I won’t spoil it here, you’d better see for yourself), the game also has excellent graphics. The characters behave as if they were alive, their movements do not look wooden, and emotions can be guessed without words. A quick glance, a fleeting smile or a grimace of disgust - all this and much more simply fits into the phrase “facial animation”. But all the delights of the graphics don’t end with the characters. The cityscapes are impressive. When you look at the city from the rooftops, it is simply breathtaking. And when you walk around the apartments, it becomes really scary. Neat furniture, beautiful wallpaper with cheerful colors - and splashes of blood with circling flies. We have already seen all this, but it was in Dying Light it really gets under your skin. In general, the game has such excellent graphics and design work that only the highest score can be given for it.

Over the past two decades, many top and monotonous MMORPGs have been released. I decided to surf the Internet and collect the best projects that will definitely delight you with cool graphics. You can already play some of them, both in the West and in Russia, but the developers continue to work on others.

Tree of Savior

Before creating the project, the developers of Tree of Savior were inspired by the cult MMO. In fact, the guys improved the graphics and added new content. Get ready to face hordes of enemies, go on a raid, visit a dungeon and, of course, snatch goddesses from the clutches of darkness. But, before downloading the game, make sure that the controls and camera position are suitable for you. You can give orders to the hero using the mouse, and watch from a bird's eye view. Thanks to the isometric view, there is a chance to spot the enemy in advance and come up with a plan.

The game was released in 2010, and in 2013 the developers announced a re-release. As a result, the graphics were improved, many systems were changed and bugs were eliminated. The key feature is the ability to see the past. Look behind the screen, filled with colors, special effects, adventures, exploits and battles. Each individual mission is a fascinating journey.

If just 10 years ago the graphics in games were, to put it mildly, with slightly noticeable polygons and angular textures, today games can boast of a very realistic world with detailed drawing and lighting close to real life. Sometimes it becomes difficult at first glance to distinguish what is in front of you, gameplay footage or footage shot on a camera with a blur filter applied. Today, we’ll look at just such games.

Over the past year, excellent projects have been released that can boast of their realism and help the player to completely immerse themselves in the virtual world. Let's look at the most popular games with realistic graphics according to the gamers themselves.

Our top contains games released over the past 5 years, including 2017. If you are interested in games with the most realistic graphics that will be released in 2018, then watch this video:

Top 10 games with incredible graphics 2018 | The most anticipated games on PS4, Xbox, PC

Now let's look at games with realistic graphics that have been out for a long time and you can play them right now.

Project Cars

But the graphic component can shock a person who has not seen good pictures in games. The developers tried to make everything so close to reality that sometimes you get the feeling that you are really watching a program about racing. All models are made of very high quality.

The game looks photorealistic. But in everything else it’s mediocre, which is why it received low ratings from both critics and audiences.

This game came out from the hands of the developers of Guerilla Games and saw the world in 2017. However, you can only play it on the PS4 console. There is no PC port yet, but it is likely that there will be one soon. The developers did not give a definite answer. The game is very fresh and not similar to previous “hog killing” simulators.

The game's setting immerses us in a style that has never been used before. The German company was able to mix primitiveness with the technological revolution. The player will have to visit an unexplored planet, the flora and fauna of which is very similar to the era of dinosaurs. Moreover, absolutely everything is connected with unusual futuristic technology.

The developers managed to convey the atmosphere completely with the help of excellent graphics. And she really amazes the imagination here. Advanced technologies are used, which may set a mandatory level for any “AAA” game project.

GTA V

Well, there is no way to ignore the creation of Rockstar Games on this list. These guys always came out with games that became cult and super popular. Just look at one of their series – Grand Theft Auto. By the way, it was these games that gave the company wide popularity.

In the fifth part of the “bad guys” simulator, they decided to focus on graphics. And it worked out great. The graphics are very realistic. The most beautiful picture can be enjoyed by PC players.

The giant of the video card industry, Nvidia, just at the time of the game’s release, introduced technologies that make the usual “plasticine” graphics more realistic. The main work was done on shadows, clouds, reflections, post-processing, hair and decals.

But GTA V is interesting not only in terms of graphics. The developers focused on the realism of the game world. It worked out great, with most of the characters constantly busy with their own things. They sleep at night, go to work in the morning, walk and relax in the evening, and interact with each other. Strange events are constantly happening, which really enliven the world and keep the player busy for a couple of extra hours.

This game can be called the most realistic game in the world, but, as you know, not everyone will like it. Moreover, on a PC it has serious requirements for a comfortable game with maximum graphics quality.

Adding a multiplayer game mode is a great move on the part of the developers. This allows many gamers to cooperate to complete missions and increases replayability. I want to go into the game again every day.

Uncharted 4

The game from Naughty Dog turned out great. The highest reviews from critics, similar opinions from players. All games in the series are adventure shooters that have a fairly rich and detailed world. This part was simply a masterpiece in graphic terms.

Sometimes during the game it seems that the developers meticulously drew every cobblestone, even in places where it would seem to be completely unnecessary. The highest texture resolution shows that the emphasis was placed on graphics. And it was the right decision.

The atmosphere is well conveyed by the style of the image, elaborate shadows, and light. The musical accompaniment, as always, does not lag behind. All this, coupled with a well-written plot, which, by the way, continues the story of the previous game, makes players start the game again and again.

In general, all fans of stunning graphics are recommended to play through.

Infamous: Second Son

The games in the Infamous series are made in a genre that is unusual for many players. You have to play as a hero who can absorb the “superpower” of others. The main genre of the game is action, but there is an open world, which is extremely unusual for such games.

The game has a moral choice, which is presented in the following form. the player will need at the very beginning what he will do as the game progresses: a hero who helps everyone or a villain who cares only about his own personal goals.

The gameplay has been expanded compared to previous parts. Now you can have in your arsenal not one or two elements, but four at once. But the plot is not executed at the highest level. In principle, the game stands out not for its sharp and intense plot, but for its advanced graphics.

The graphics are really well thought out. All effects from fire, lightning and other things are made very realistic. The textures are high resolution and well drawn. Lighting effects, shadows, object physics - all this makes the game stand out from others. The graphical component is the strongest aspect of this game.

Star Citizen

It is very difficult to say anything about this game since it is under development. According to the developers, it will turn out great and will feature chic, well-designed, realistic graphics.

As the name suggests, the game will be related to space. The player will need to build relationships with other residents. It will be possible to trade with some, and you will have to fight with others. According to its concept and description, the result will be something very suitable and of high quality, which the average gamer has not yet had time to get tired of.

Far Cry Primal

The Far Cry series is one of the most popular open-world shooters in the niche. In their new part, the developers decided to conduct an experiment. They combined a shooter with a primitive world. It turned out very good and fresh.

One of the unique features of the game is the ability to tame wild animals. The function looks interesting. Just imagine what it’s like to run around with a bow and have a saber-toothed tiger as your assistant. At the very least, this is unusual for such games.

The graphics especially stand out. Made with high quality. The developers did a good job on the animals, effects, light and shadows. It turned out to well transfer the atmosphere of that time and immerse the player in this world. The game is highly acclaimed by critics and the community.

The game was one of the first to claim realism. It was in it that the developers for the first time tried to connect not only the plot, but also the graphics and atmosphere with real life. But at the time of development there were no special technical means, so the game turned out not at the highest level. Not only critics, but also most players speak about this.

Multiplayer deserves special mention. This is really the strong point of the game. There are no cheaters here, which are not uncommon in other shooters of this type. For example, in Call of Duty, Battlefield this is an eternal problem. At the moment, the graphics are no longer advanced, but as the progenitor of the path of realism in games, it is a very good project.

Tom Clancy's the Division is a slow-paced shooter with tactical elements. The battles take place at a leisurely pace. The plot is quite simple and boring. Only the names and situations change. In this particular game, the player will have to shoot the “bad guys” in New York. But the implementation has already been done better. You can complete missions either alone or in a company of up to four people.

The graphics are done well. It is immediately clear that the developers focused on it. As always, working with shadows, lighting, and effects does its job - it conveys the atmosphere that the developer wanted to convey. In principle, the project turned out to be interesting, especially if the gamer has the opportunity to play with friends.

Bottom line

As you can see, the gaming industry does not stand still and is constantly evolving. And he is moving forward by leaps and bounds. Every year more and more excellent products appear that allow you to have a great time in your free time. Perhaps someone will argue that graphics are not important for the game.

This is partly true, but the validity of this judgment cannot be extended to all genres. Agree that for an RPG, for example, not only the graphical component is important, but also a deep atmosphere, dialogues, good voice acting, an interesting plot worked out to the smallest detail.

But in racing games, few people pay attention to these components. Because most of the time the player is in the race and looking at the picture. Of course, there are exceptions to any rule, but the vast majority fall within the framework of this rule.

It’s simply impossible to name the best game with the most realistic graphics. Here everything depends on individual perception and there simply cannot be a single correct opinion. All games featured are selected and described based on overall player ratings and reviews.

Hi all. For you, I have selected the top 16 most beautiful games on PC, with beautiful and atmospheric graphics and an amazing world.

Bioshock series

Release date: 2007-2013

The Bioshock games are sci-fi first-person shooters with RPG elements. The series is the spiritual successor to System Shock and draws many gameplay elements from there, but is not connected to it plot-wise. All three parts of Bioshock were created on the improved Unreal Engine 3, which even by today's standards (and the first part of the series was released almost 10 years ago) produces very solid graphics. The main difference between all games is the atmosphere. In the first two parts we explore the underwater world. Infinite has a flying city

The gameplay in all parts of Bioshock is strongly “involved” in the use of so-called “Plasmids”, with the help of which the hero can obtain certain superpowers (telekinesis, electric shock, etc.). There are also RPG-like improvements to both the character's abilities and his weapons. In terms of graphics, all parts of the game look very beautiful, and not least of all, the unique style of the surrounding world plays a role here.

Crysis series

Release date: 2007-2013

Genre: first person shooter

Sci-fi first-person shooters with incredibly beautiful graphics, in which the main characters in special exosuits fight both people and aliens. All parts of the series are made in the style of the so-called “Sandbox”, when the player can choose where to go or who to attack. Moreover, the plot here is completely linear.

The very first Crysis actually made a revolution in graphics (in order for the game to run at maximum speed, very powerful hardware with Windows Vista installed on it was required), while the third part, in which the developers used their new CryEngine 3 engine, looks even more gorgeous and easily displays the most modern graphic effects on the screen.

Dear Esther

Release date: 2012

Game only for PlayStation 3 and 4 platforms

One of us- An incredibly beautiful and atmospheric game made in the action-adventure genre with elements of stealth and survival horror. According to the plot, the cordyceps fungus has dangerously mutated and infected most of humanity, turning it into some kind of zombie. In the center of the story are the smuggler Joel and the girl Ellie, who must cross the continent, constantly encountering both victims of the epidemic and equally dangerous looters, bandits, cannibals, etc.

The game is characterized by high complexity and a shortage of ammunition, traditional for the survival horror genre. Often it is generally better to avoid meeting enemies than to go ahead. The project received a lot of positive reviews, and most recently an upcoming sequel was announced. The largest resources and publications gave the game maximum ratings. Most critics agreed that projects of this level are released very, very rarely, which means that it is definitely worth playing.

The Vanishing of Ethan Carter

Release date: 2014

Games of the quest genre today do not enjoy the popularity that they had before, however, even now they include decent, atmospheric and incredibly beautiful projects. Such projects include The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, the plot of which tells about the adventures of a private detective with mystical powers who goes in search of a missing boy.

Our protagonist’s investigation leads him to a town called “Red Brook Valley,” where some kind of devilry is going on. Actually, this is what you have to figure out. The game boasts very beautiful graphics and a completely open world in which (with rare artificial restrictions) you can travel. The game does not lead you by the hand, but invites you to explore the world on your own and solve the puzzles that arise. Inspect crime scenes, create a chronology of events and finally figure out what is happening in this small remote town.

Never Alone

Release date: 2014

An incredibly stylish and atmospheric indie game, made in the genre of a puzzle platformer and designed for both one and two players. The game features two characters - a girl and an arctic fox, between whom you can switch at any time. Together, the heroes overcome obstacles and solve puzzles, with each character having their own unique abilities and skills.

Get ready to visit dangerous locations in the Arctic - from the tundra to the mysterious forest. Meet blizzards, stormy winds and deceptive mountains, as well as representatives of Inupiat folklore: the Murderer, little people, helping spirits, etc. You can complete the game either by yourself or in the company of a second player, even if you started independent passage, a second player can join you at any time.

Rise of the Tomb Raider

Release date: 2015

Another game from the Tomb Raider series, in which the main character goes to Siberia, where she will have to fight with members of the secret Trinity order, as well as various wild animals, and find a valuable artifact. In terms of gameplay, the game copies the previous part of the series, but the technical component has been significantly improved (for example, the animation has been redesigned, becoming even smoother and more realistic).

In addition to acrobatics and battles, the game contains many puzzles that vary in difficulty. In addition, there are elements of survival here, in particular, Lara will constantly have to obtain various resources for herself and create new equipment. Many puzzles are multi-step, often based on the use of physics. Some of the puzzles exactly copy tasks from previous parts (a kind of tribute to the classic Tomb Raider games).

Ori and the Blind Forest

Release date: 2015

An incredibly colorful indie platformer released on the free Unity engine. The player takes control of Ori, a fabulous snow-white creature that resembles a cross between a fox, a squirrel and a wild cat. You can also play as Sein, a protective spirit who constantly revolves around Ori. And if Ori initially only knows how to jump (and later learn to climb walls, soar in the air and dive under water), then Sein is able to attack enemies with the help of so-called “Spiritual Flame Charges”.

Game locations are various parts of the forest in which the player can go wherever he wants. However, if a certain area has not yet been opened, the player will not be able to get there. Interestingly, there is no training or tutorial in the game, so you will have to figure everything out on your own (when Ori finds Sein, you can get some tips from him).

Just Cause 3

Release date: 2015

An excellent third-person action game with excellent graphics and a completely open world in which the player controls Rico Rodriguez, an agent who must confront the dictator General Sebastiano di Ravello. In fact, the game uses all the successful gameplay developments from previous parts, significantly improving their mechanics and implementation. Creating chaos on a fictional island has become much more interesting and fun.

In fact, many critics gave this project high marks for its wide possibilities for creating chaos. Among the negative aspects, poor optimization and a number of technical problems were noted, which, however, were corrected by patches. It is also worth noting the destructibility of objects. The main character can not only destroy people and equipment and houses, but also, for example, bridges or statues.

Assassin's Creed Syndicate

Release date: 2015

An exciting action game with excellent graphics and a completely open world. The game tells the story of events that took place in the Stone Age, and the main character is a prehistoric hunter named Takkar, whose tribe was destroyed. Now our protagonist travels through the country of Urus, hoping to avenge his people and find a new home.

The game lacks the usual weapons and vehicles. Since the game takes place in prehistoric times, we will have access to spears, clubs, bows, etc., which we also need to craft ourselves, using available materials for this. There is also the possibility of taming wild animals, which can both attack the enemy and play the role of a scout. It is also worth noting that all dialogues are written in a primitive language, which can only be understood with the help of subtitles. This is done to make players more immersed in what is happening on the screen.

Quantum Break

Release date: 2016

Genre: third person shooter,

An original first-person shooter, the gameplay of which involves time manipulation. According to the plot, an experiment with time was conducted at the fictional American university Riverport, which ended extremely unsuccessfully. As a result, the main characters of the game discovered superpowers (for example, our main protagonist Jack Johnson learned to stop time).

The developers approached the plot, and especially time travel, as responsibly as possible, hiring a consultant from CERN who explained to them some aspects of classical and quantum physics. In general, the project was received very warmly. The game has excellent graphics, and everything that happens on the screen is very cinematic.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided

Release date: 2016

Genre: first person shooter,

A first-person cyberpunk action game with elements of role-playing and stealth, which is a continuation of Deus Ex: Human Revolution (two years have passed since the events of the original game). In general, the game uses all the same mechanics as in the previous part, and the real changes affected only the combat system, in which an automatically replenished energy scale now appeared (previously, energy reserves had to be found).

In general, Mankind Divided is a kind of “work on the mistakes” made in the last part of the game. So, for example, if in Human Revolution bosses could only be killed, then in this part it became possible to pass them undetected. Graphically the game looks very bright. The palette is dominated by black and gold colors. The environment is very elaborate and detailed.

Watch Dogs 2

Release date: 2016

Genre: stealth action, open world

An action-adventure game with cutting-edge graphics and a completely open world, which tells the story of hacking and hacking activities in San Francisco. According to the plot, the main character Marcus Holloway, who arrived in San Francisco, teams up with like-minded people from the DedSec group to confront greedy corporations and their puppets in high-ranking positions.

Unlike the previous part, the game contains many gameplay innovations. For example, the hacking system was updated, new high-tech gadgets appeared, and parkour was significantly improved. The project turned out to be head and shoulders above its predecessor, largely thanks to the impressive work on bugs. Many publications that gave Watch Dogs high marks noted that this is exactly what the first part should have been.

Beautiful online games

Panzar: Forged by Chaos

Release date: 2012

Don’t forget about leveling up and customizing your characters. The latter, by the way, is carried out through painting things, where each equipped item can be repainted at your discretion. Royal Quest

Release date: 2012

An MMORPG game from the creators of “Space Rangers” and “Legend of the Knight”, it features exciting gameplay and pleasant (if not the most technically advanced) animated graphics. The events of the game take place in a world where magic, technology and alchemy are closely intertwined, but this world is in danger and only we can save it!

PLAY

The game has four starting classes, fairly deep customization of the character's appearance, as well as the ability to choose one of two specializations for your class at later levels of the game. The gameplay here is based on completing quests, killing monsters, exploring dungeons and other activities traditional for the genre. However, despite some secondary nature, the game is capable of captivating, especially since the developer’s signature humor is present here in abundance.

Blade and Soul

Release date: 2013

Genre: MMORPG

A fantasy massively multiplayer role-playing game with nice graphics and traditional features for the genre. The game has four races, 10 classes, many quests, crafting, resource extraction and other activities. The developers placed the main emphasis on the e-sports component, which is developed here at the proper level. At the same time, battles between players do not take place “crowd against crowd” but in 3 on 3 and 1 on 1 formats.

PLAY

It is interesting that initially the project received mixed reviews from critics, who noted that its graphics were not the best and were somewhat secondary (i.e. the game could not surprise players with anything), however, the developers refined the engine, improved the graphics and relied on PvP battles for very real and pretty good cash prizes. Needless to say, the game instantly took off and even now there is a lot of activity on the project’s servers!

I would like to address the readers. What other beautiful games do you think are available for PC? Write in the comments. It will be interesting to know what I missed.

Every computer game developer tries to improve their product. One of the improvements is improved graphics quality. Since 2014, it has become possible to significantly improve the realism of graphics, and already in 2017 a whole list of such products can be compiled. It is very difficult to single out one game, but there are several projects that can confidently be called leaders in the rating.

Forza Horizon 3

The car simulator was presented in September 2016. It became the ninth part of the series. Many critics immediately noted the fact that at the time of the product's release, Forza had the most realistic graphics in the game. This was facilitated by the ForzaTech engine, thanks to which the developer company was able to achieve very high picture quality.

A distinctive feature of the simulator was the cross-world between platforms. The thing is that the game is available for personal computers running the Windows operating system and for the Xbox game console. The hardware allows gamers who play on personal computers and consoles to compete with each other.

Worldwide critics gave high marks to both versions of Forza Horizon 3. The most authoritative publications, which are GameRankings and Metacritic, stated that at the end of 2016 Forza is the game with the most realistic graphics. The car simulator received an average score of 87% and 86 out of 100 from GameRankings and Metacritic, respectively.

Battlefield 1

It was released in the spring of 2016 and for 6 months took first place in the most realistic graphics category. Well-known critics immediately spoke out about Battlefield 1 and highly valued the shooter.

Like previous versions of the series, this part was created based on the Frostbite engine, which was first used by the developer several years ago. It allows you to achieve a high level of destructibility and high quality graphics. Battlefield 1 took first place in the “Graphics of the Year” category according to the popular web resource “Gaming”.

Since the trailer's release, critics and gamers alike have been flooded with positive reviews. The first video, which showed the gameplay of the game, was released almost at the same time as Call of Duty. However, DICE's product received five times more positive ratings than the legendary Call of Duty. After this, many experts dubbed Battlefield the “CoD killer.”

The product with the most realistic graphics in the game in Russia faced serious criticism. At the shooter's presentation, it was announced that Great Britain, Germany, Italy, the United States of America, Austria-Hungary, and the Ottoman Empire would be present in the game. The reason for the indignation of domestic gamers and critics was the absence of the Russian Empire. In this regard, the Russian community sent a petition to DICE asking to add the Russian Empire to the list of playable nations. The developers' response was not long in coming. The company said that both France and the Russian Empire will appear in upcoming additions to the game.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon

The tactical shooter was released in early spring 2017 and immediately became the game with the most realistic graphics on PC. The announcement took place two years before the official release at the E3 computer games exhibition.

A distinctive feature of the shooter is the open world. Before this, no product in the series could boast of such an element. The gamer begins the game as one of the members of a fictional group of fighters from the United States of America. The group was formed to solve certain operations based on the US Army.

After the release of the game, the Bolivian government issued a statement condemning the developers for presenting their state in the shooter as a country where violence and drug trafficking are rampant. The developers later issued a statement in response, saying that Bolivia was chosen because of its beautiful landscapes.

The shooter Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon was nominated for the title of best game of 2015. But despite the fact that Ghost Recon has some of the most realistic graphics in games, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon could only win the “Best Shooter” category.

GTA 5

The cult GTA franchise has not pleased its loyal fans for a long time. The fifth part of the series was announced in 2011. Owners of personal computers had to suffer for a very long time, but only got the opportunity to enjoy the game in April 2015. As of 2013, when GTA 5 was released on gaming consoles, it was called the game with the most realistic graphics in the world.

A distinctive feature of the 3D shooter was the presence of three heroes at once. This did not happen in any of the previous versions of the famous game. The gamer has the ability to switch between characters almost at any time. There are also missions during which the player can control two players at once.

The game consists of 62 main missions and a large number of side missions. However, the number of main missions increases by 7 as there are chapters that can be completed in multiple ways. Additionally, GTA 5 has three different endings.

The game received the highest ratings both in Russian-language publications and in foreign ones. For example, the most popular Russian web resource “Igromaniya”, dedicated to video games, gave the 3D shooter a rating of 10 out of 10, as did the famous foreign publication IGN.

"The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt"

But GTA 5's leadership did not last long. In mid-May 2015, the third part of the famous Witcher series was released. Immediately after the release, it became clear that in “Wild Hunt” you can see the most realistic graphics in a PC game. In early autumn 2016, version 1.3 was released. The real-time strategy game is available for all popular platforms.

The lead artist stated that CD Projekt RED would use different methods when creating character models than those used to develop the first game in the famous series. While working on “Wild Hunt”, models of the game’s characters were first created, on the basis of which low-resolution models were formed. They are what are used in the game. To depict hair, fabric, shadows and fur, tools from Nvidia were used.

Star Wars: Battlefront

The Star Wars franchise is represented not only by a large number of films. This extends to video games as well. In 2015, a first-person shooter called Star Wars: Battlefront was released. The game was the third in the series. The shooter was created over the course of two years. Development began in 2006. But in 2008, work on it was frozen until 2013.

Battlefront's gameplay is all about combat. The gamer can choose which side to take. He has the opportunity to fight for the rebels, going through a campaign based on the original trilogy, or play for the army of the Galactic Empire. Star Wars fans have a great opportunity to take part in the most famous battles in the galaxy. One of the advantages of the game is the fact that the gamer is able to control military equipment.

Despite the popularity of the franchise and excellent graphics, the game did not receive high ratings from foreign publications. In Russia, popular gaming resources gave the shooter a rating of 8 out of 10. Only Playground gave Star Wars 5 out of 10.

Fra Cry 5

Another game with great graphics. Its announcement took place in mid-May 2017. The expected release date for the first-person shooter is late winter 2018. The development by Ubisoft will take graphics in computer games to a new level.

The gamer will control a sheriff's deputy. He will have to go to the fictional Hope County in order to arrest Sid, who has decided to establish control over the entire county. A distinctive feature of the fifth part of the game is the presence of an editor in which you can change the appearance of the main character. You can change not only things, but also the skin color and gender of the character.

The game will feature a large number of gadgets and a wide arsenal of weapons. It includes shotguns, pistols, bows, explosives and even baseball bats. Also in battle, the main character can be helped by wild animals tamed by him. The game's campaign can be completed in single player mode or in multiplayer.

Need for Speed: Payback

The new NFS was introduced in early June. The official release is scheduled for the end of autumn this year. Critics are already saying that the most realistic graphics in the game will be in the new “Need for Speed.”

The car simulator will be available on all engines - Frostbite 3. Multiplayer and single-player modes are available in Payback. Vehicles will be divided into five categories: drift, race cars, off-road cars, runners and drag. For racing, one or another class of car is required. Police cars can drive around the town of Fortune Valley and chase the racers, and do not hesitate to break any traffic rules to stop the violators.

The main characters of the game are Tyler Mac and Jesse - three race car drivers who team up to challenge the Dom cartel. The cartel took control of criminals, corrupt police officers and the city's casinos. Three riders will try to make a difference in Fortune Valley.

Bottom line

It is difficult to answer which game with the most realistic graphics at the moment is capable of leading the rating of the best projects. In recent years, each product has been distinguished by high image quality. In some cases, it is difficult to distinguish a picture in a game from a movie.

At the moment, the game with the most realistic graphics is Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon, released in 2017. However, with a high probability, the car simulator will be moved from the first line of the conditional pedestal in the same year, when the game NFS: Payback is released. But the legendary car simulator won't stay at the top for long. Assassin's Creed: Empire is expected to be released in 2017 and will become the best game in the world in terms of Graphics.
