He sent demo recordings to the producer of “Ivanushki” Igor Matvienko and received an invitation to the group.
Soon he appeared in the new video for “Ivanushki” - “Doll”, but only briefly, as a backing vocalist. Despite the persuasion of Kirill and Andrey, Sorin left the group in March 1998 and began to prepare for a solo career.
On September 1 of the same year, Igor Sorin, working in his Moscow studio, fell from the sixth floor. Three days later, the former lead singer of the group “Ivanushki International” died from his injuries.
Oleg Yakovlev was invited to replace Igor, who later told how difficult it was to win the favor of fans. After all, at first they simply hated the newcomer, considering him guilty of Sorin’s departure. And then tragic death Igor, they began to treat me even worse.
