Weighted people Peter and Vesta. Weight loss of “Weighted People” on STS - before and after photos and diet of the main characters

The project for Irina began back in May 2017 with a letter from the casting director of the show, who invited the curvaceous beauty to apply for participation.

The selection was very difficult: we needed beautiful faces and interesting stories. In addition, the characters must be different in character and type of activity. They were interested in our aspirations and dreams, relationships within the family. First of all, this is a show, and the audience should be interested in watching the participants,” recalls Irina. At the beginning of the project, the girl’s weight was 148 kg. Now she weighs half a centner less.

Irina admitted that the most difficult part was the filming process:

This is a completely different mode, life schedule. All together it caused a lot of inconvenience. There was a feeling that you were not in control of your life. Someone else decides when you will eat, when you will workout. This applied to absolutely everything! We didn’t know what to prepare for, what awaited us tomorrow. For me personally, this was the most difficult thing throughout the entire project.

- What is it like to talk about your problems and complexes to the whole country?

I guessed that I would hear both criticism and approval addressed to me. There are those who like girls with curves, but there were also those who condemned me and said: “Lose weight! What are you doing to yourself!

We were cut off from the world, in a closed space, without the support of loved ones. Emotions went wild, we cried. But as a result, we found support from those around us: we became a small family.

- What was the most valuable thing you took away from there, not counting the lost kilograms?

I closed the story with comments that rained down on me after winning the beauty contest. They broke me very much then, I closed myself off from the world, stopped trusting people. I won a victory over myself. Now I approach everything that happens in life more simply. People are sometimes angry, without thinking, they hurt. But you shouldn’t forbid yourself to feel and enjoy life because of this. Another plus is that I made real friends. I hope that we will continue to communicate for a long, long time.

Only one training session was shown on air, something unusual. This was filmed specifically for the show. In fact, the training was daily - from an hour to four. Sometimes we had to train at night, because there was no gym in the complex where we lived; we had to go there. Everything depended on the filming process. The menu was developed by an excellent nutritionist Yulia Olegovna. The number of calories is minimal. Four meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner and one snack. We didn’t take diet pills, but we did take vitamins.

- It’s hard to believe that a person can consistently lose 3-4 kg of weight over several months.

This is real on the project. You need to understand that there we had only one task - to lose weight, there was simply no other thing to do. You shouldn't do this at home. It is difficult both physically and mentally, and the body malfunctions. And in my head there are only thoughts about kilograms.

- Many viewers expressed the opinion that the voting, and, consequently, the elimination of participants, was staged and written in advance. Is it so?

No, we voted ourselves. There were many factors involved, each time it was difficult because we came to the project with problems. Everyone understood that each of us still needed to lose weight, have something to strive for, something to learn, something to experience. But we were placed in such conditions that everyone could not stay, and every week someone had to leave. Everyone has their own voting motives, but it’s absolutely clear that there was no script.

- How has your life changed after the project?

Now I want to move more, I like it. Previously, I had shortness of breath after going up to the second floor. Recently in Moscow I walked 20 kilometers in a day, and only calluses on my feet forced me to stop. Sweating has decreased: it’s no secret that overweight people sweat a lot. In addition, there are big problems with choosing clothes. I had to dress in some old woman’s clothes, which made me look older. I was called “woman”, but now they started calling me “girl” again. It's much nicer, especially when you're only 23 years old.

The girl came to the project weighing 148 kg, lost 33 kg in two and a half months, and approached the finale, which was filmed a little later, weighing 99 kg.

Reference. “Weighted and Happy People” (formerly “Weighted People”) is a Russian television reality show, a version of the popular American project “The Biggest Loser”. Participants in the program who are overweight compete with each other to lose weight and compete for the main prize - 3 million rubles. The presenter Anfisa Chekhova, rapper Seryoga, actor and award-winning athlete Sergei Badyuk and Miss Olympia, Russian, European and world champion in fitness bikini Natalya Lugovskikh helped the “weighted people” get rid of extra kilos. The finale of the show took place on June 2.

The final of the show “Weighted People” took place over the weekend, the winner of which was Peter Vasiliev, who lost 58 kilograms during the entire project.

Throughout the project, Peter showed interest in a girl named Vesta Romanova.

As a result, the young people fell in love, so much so that Peter even proposed marriage to the smiling blonde.

As we understand, the show is filmed long before what we see on the screen. All this time, the participants were silent and did not reveal who the winner was. But the audience was even more interested in how the romance between Vesta and Peter unfolded.

Imagine their disappointment when it turned out that...no way... It turned out that after the project the couple broke up. Vasiliev commented only once on this “event” and asked not to disturb him anymore.

“So, people, I’m making an official statement))) Now we read carefully and don’t ask any more questions, ok?)) Petya and I did not have a wedding. For especially gifted smart people, I declare that the love story was not invented by the producers and was not made on purpose. I don’t know how to “play love.” I’m not going to discuss why, who left whom, etc. I don’t like this topic either. " - wrote Peter.

As a result, fans of this couple were so offended by them that they accused them of pretense. Many wrote that this romance was just for show.

If someone watched the program, did you believe in the sincerity of Peter and Vesta’s feelings?

And for those who haven’t watched it, I recommend it. I myself looked with rapture at people who were able to “pull themselves together” and lose an unrealistic amount of kilograms.

This is what Vesta Romanova was like before the project:

This is what Vesta became after losing 40 kilograms.

This was Peter Vasiliev:

And this is what he became after the project:

And other participants:

Someone might find this table useful:

Rostov resident Oksana Leonova spent 13 weeks on the project of the STS channel “Weighted People” and lost 38 kg. Oksana told Woman’s Day how she lived two years after the broadcast and what it cost her to reach her current weight. Perhaps her experience and fighting spirit will help current participants.

Oksana came to the project weighing 118 kg

What did the project give you, what new things did you discover?

Most importantly, I finally felt that the possibilities of my body were limitless. How? My personal training with Irina Turchinskaya lasted 1 hour 40 minutes and almost all this time I walked on a treadmill with an incline of 20 degrees! And before that I had a main training session that lasted four hours. You see, in ordinary life we often feel sorry for ourselves and do not reach the point where we can say: “I did everything I could”! I had such a moment, which I am very happy about. I am proud of this victory over myself. I came to the project weighing 118 kg, and left with 80 kg.

What was the most difficult thing for you?

Perhaps the most difficult thing was and remains running! I won't be a Kenyan runner (laughs). It was also very difficult to “lose” friends. It’s impossible to get used to the fact that every week someone leaves the project.

How has your life changed after the project?

Yes, I have a new job, a new lifestyle. I used to work in the catering industry, and now I am the administrator of an aesthetic medicine center. But most of all I like the new feeling of myself. At 39 years old, I fell in love with myself and accepted myself as I am, and I regard this as a big breakthrough in my own consciousness. Just so you understand, fat people don't like themselves. I hated myself, and my body responded in kind. All changes occur first in the head. That's why working with psychologists was so important to me.

After returning from the project, did you continue to lose weight?

I was absolutely happy with my new image, and I actively enjoyed the new me. Over the course of these years, I alternated between losing weight and gaining weight, but by exactly three kilograms. Still, sometimes I indulged myself and seasonal fluctuations took over. But in the summer of 2016, the body suffered a hormonal imbalance, and the weight began to increase. I immediately turned to an endocrinologist, who found the reason for my weight gain. I am currently undergoing therapy with a doctor. Comprehensive efforts (diet, sports and hormonal therapy) are beginning to bear fruit. According to doctors, I will be back to normal in eight months. But the most important thing is that after this period I want to consolidate the result of 75 kg! My life experience has taught me that it doesn’t matter how many times you fall, the main thing is how many times you were able to get up and move on towards your goal. Now I get up and move on.

How much do you weigh now?

91 kilograms, but the weight changes downwards weekly.

What do you like most about the new figure?

The opportunity to choose things in the store, rather than having them sewed to special order!

How do you keep fit? Sports nutrition?

First of all, I stick to proper nutrition. I haven’t fried anything for a long time, I don’t eat flour, fatty foods, potatoes, pasta, very salty foods, mayonnaise (it was the hardest thing to give up) and anything that contains sugar. I completely gave up processed foods, fast food and carbonated drinks. I hardly drink alcohol. What do I eat? All first courses, but without potatoes and with meat broth as the second course. As a side dish I like stewed cabbage or buckwheat without salt and low-fat fermented milk products. This is just enough to maintain weight. Well, to lose weight, you need to add exercise and not eat five hours before bedtime.

How many times a week do you exercise?

I was lucky: a gym was recently opened near my house. Now I have the opportunity to train every free minute. Lately I’ve been working out mostly at home – planks, abs, exercises with dumbbells, but that’s not enough for me now. I'm now at the stage where I need to study more intensively.

How many times a day do you eat?

As our nutritionist Yulia Bastrygina said: “If you want to lose weight, eat five times a day. If you want to lose a lot of weight, eat seven times a day!” I have a golden mean, I eat six times a day. Moreover, kefir at night also counts as a meal.

Do you allow yourself days when you can eat everything? How often?

When I really want it, sometimes I allow myself a piece of dark chocolate. Apparently, it really brings happiness, and it’s hard to give it up. Another prohibited item I can afford is a glass of red wine. But the next day should be a fasting day. I am not drawn to cakes, pies, kebabs.

Favorite recipe?

I learned about this salad during the project. Add 80-100 g of baked meat or boiled shrimp to the lettuce leaves. Season the finished dish with a mixture of lemon juice and olive oil. For added spice, you can add a mixture of spices and, if desired, a handful of pine nuts. Both tasty and healthy! I recommend. I also love broccoli soup. Throw cabbage, carrots and onions through a blender into boiling water, add two processed cheeses and salt to taste. After 15 minutes the soup is ready. This is delicious!

If you are 20 years old and you are not satisfied with the reflection in the mirror, go to the gym or just go outside now. Move, don't waste time! If you are 30 and you understand that it is time to change something, change it now! Don't wait another month, a year... Start now! Not even tomorrow, but today. Consider that this day has come when it’s time to start changing your life for the better. If you are 40 and your appearance is depressing, then you should have started yesterday. And one more piece of advice for everyone. If you really make every effort, and the result is not what you expected, turn to professionals and listen to their opinion. In matters of health, I was convinced from personal experience that if weight loss is to be significant, then only under medical supervision you need to get rid of the hated kilograms. The reasons may be different, but the cure is the same for everyone - sports, proper nutrition and self-love. Be sure to believe in yourself and your strength!

“Weighted People,” a successful project of the STS TV channel, is an analogue of the popular American show in which people change their lifestyle, work on their body and transform themselves. In addition to a new body, the winner of the project will receive a decent amount of money and audience sympathy.

Both men and women, young and old, take part in this show, and each participant hides complexes, a difficult fate and a desire to radically change their lives.

The winner will be the person who loses the most kilos, and the project organizers will do their best to tempt people with delicious food and entertainment. Only a strong-willed person who can resist temptations and cope with his laziness will win this show.

  3. Weight restrictions have arisen. Women can take part in the project if they weigh more than 100 kilograms, and men from 120 kilograms.

The basic rules of the show that all participants must follow are as follows:

  1. You should try to avoid stressful situations. There must be a psychological attitude.
  2. Don't pay attention to myths and stereotypes. Not eating after 6 is a misconception. You can eat, but only light food. If you don’t eat for a long time, the body gets stressed and requires a double dose after microfasting.

  4. Buy and eat only natural products and prepare food at home. Limit visits to public food outlets.
  5. Never fry food: cook it either in the oven, boil it, or steam it.

  7. There must be an attitude, positivity and a daily boost of energy.
  8. Movement is life. Move more.
  9. Do daily check-weighings and monitor your overall health.
  10. It is not necessary to radically change your diet; it is enough to reduce portions and add vegetables and fruits to your diet.

Heroes of the reality show “Weighted People”

The show participants were of different weight categories and ages.

  • Shiktko Alexander.

Let's discuss the most striking characters in the project and find out how they achieved such stunning results.

A stylist from St. Petersburg lost 50 kg during the entire time she spent on the project. She assures that without the help of professionals she would not have been able to achieve such an impressive result.

At the first stage, Vesta completely eliminated sugar, mayonnaise and fast food from her diet. The first week I consumed 2500 kcal per day and gradually reduced the amount of food. Proper nutrition normalized metabolism, and training toned up my figure.

The secret to her weight loss is not complicated:

  1. Compliance with diet.
  2. Daily physical activity.
  3. Daily weighing controls and measurement of problem areas.

Advice! Success will come only when a person spends more calories than he consumes.

This “Weighted” participant played sports in his youth, but when he quit, the weight began to grow rapidly. He not only had problems with his health, but also with his personal life.

Peter dropped 40 kilograms of excess weight and admits that it was not easy for him. The relationship with Vesta did not work out, apparently this was fate.

Immediately after the project, Peter met a beautiful girl and now they are happy. His chosen one is expecting a child. Peter assures that he managed to lose weight not through proper nutrition and intense exercise, but because he fell in love with Vesta Romanova.

Maxim won 2.5 million rubles and lost a record amount of kilograms. The final weigh-in showed minus 63 kilograms from the moment he came to the project.

Maxim assures that people find excuses for not playing sports. Lack of a gym or the opportunity to visit one, serious busyness. You can also play sports at home.

If a person allocates 1 hour of time a day for training, then it is easy to correct the imperfections of the figure.

Lead an active lifestyle and spend less time in restaurants and at the computer.

Photos of Maxim before and after the project

This show participant weighed more than 220 kilograms. He spent 7 weeks on the project, but did not give up improving his figure after leaving. Alexander, this is exactly the most difficult case when a person is overweight since childhood.

He says that he rapidly gained weight from an early age and did not know how to deal with it. Moreover, tragedies in life only made the situation worse. For example, the death of my mother in 2011.

He started working on his figure even before the project and for some time he managed to lose 30 kilos when he weighed 250 kg. During his time on the project, he managed to lose another 38 kg. He is already on his own, because the elderly grandmother needed his help.

Advice! Cyclical training is the most important thing. They must be permanent and long-lasting. At least 40 minutes a day in one approach.

This show affected each participant differently, but everyone unanimously assures that the regime and the presence of experienced nutritionists and trainers on the site had a serious auxiliary effect.

The most important thing is not to quit training, even after the result is achieved. Weight can quickly return if you do not watch your lifestyle and are lazy.

Mitya, let's start from the very beginning. Tell us how you got involved in the project?

- It happened completely unexpectedly. I accidentally came across information about the casting on the Internet and decided, I wasn’t there, I’ll try! I really wanted to change my life, to lose the excess weight that I had gained after a serious spinal injury. As it turned out later, at the time of submitting the application, the casting had long ended, but despite this, I was invited to Moscow, I passed the selection and became a participant in the “Weighted People” show.

By what parameters, besides being overweight, were future “Weighted People” selected?

There were a lot of criteria, oh During the selection, they paid special attention to health; they were interested in whether the applicants had a sports background, because the participants were expected to undergo difficult physical activity during the project. By almost all indicators, my health was normal, the only thing was that I had a problem with my ankle due to my heavy weight, but I was “repaired” during the project. Another advantage was that in my youth I practiced judo. In addition to these parameters, I think certain character qualities were also important, for example, sociability, as well as the ability to behave in front of a camera, in public. Many of the participants had this experience. Someone acted on television, another worked as a presenter at corporate events, I am a former KVN member.

At first, how difficult was it to get into the groove of the project?

Before the injury, I led an active lifestyle and never weighed more than one hundred kilograms, so it was not difficult for me to get involved in working on myself. I'm a fairly resilient person. During the project, in addition to morning exercises, gym classes, and individual evening training, I often played sports at night: I worked out or played tennis with one of the participants.

— On television broadcasts of the show, the emphasis is on training, while the diet of the participants remains behind the scenes. Tell us how the food for the project was built?

— In fact, great attention was paid to proper nutrition; nutritionist Yulia Bastrygina worked closely with us. It was she who compiled the menu, adjusted it depending on physical activity, and talked about healthy food. We always had calorie tables at hand. When the project chef had a day off, according to the tables and menus, we independently prepared dishes for five meals. At the beginning of the project, we consumed about 1200 kilocalories every day. Despite the fact that after a couple of weeks the norm was reduced to 500-800 calories, this was quite enough - we never left hungry.

How did you prepare for the control weigh-in?

— Before the control weigh-in at the end of each week, we had a last chance training, where we tried to give our best. Basically, here we received cardio exercise, which effectively melts fat. On the eve of the weigh-in, a visit to the sauna became a mandatory item in our schedule to get rid of excess fluid in the body. Before going to bed and at night, we tried not to drink water. In the morning we go to weigh-in, everyone’s tongue sticks to the roof of their mouth, but we endure (smiles), because we had to show a good result on the scales.

— The project trainers also worked on the participant’s results. On the show you had the opportunity to work under the leadership of Irina Turchinskaya and in the team of Denis Semenikhin. Which coach did you feel more comfortable working with?

— I am the kind of person that I feel comfortable with almost everyone (smiles). Each of our trainers is a great professional. I was very lucky: I had the opportunity to study under the guidance of both masters. Each coach helped me a lot, despite their different approaches to training. Irina and I worked out more in the gym, on exercise machines or with dumbbells. Denis often organized outdoor training, we pulled tires, moved carts with tires, and worked with sledgehammers. Getting used to the new coach and other loads was not easy at first, but soon everything went like clockwork.

— In recent weeks, team wrestling has been replaced by individual competition. Personally, was it easier for you to work in a team or for your own results?

Dividing into teams or working for yourself - for me this was not important. Physically and psychologically, I didn’t feel any difference. After the rules changed, we also all lived under one roof, cooked together, and communicated. It’s been a tough time during the voting. When you see that it is vital for all participants to be on a project under the supervision of experienced trainers and doctors, when you understand that the fate of another person depends on you, it is incredibly difficult to make a choice. Every time it was really hard for me to write the name of one of the participants.

In recent weeks, you also had to leave the project. Wasn't it a shame to leave one step away from the final?

Of course, it was a shame to leave the show, but these are the rules of the project. Getting into the top five is already an achievement, especially since at that time I showed the best result among the “Weighted People”: I lost almost 54 kilograms from my initial weight of 219. In other countries where a similar show was held, participants with greater weight, like mine , left the project much earlier. Only in Sweden was there a precedent when a heavyweight hero stepped beyond the equator.

After the project, did you continue to lose weight?

Yes, after the finale of the show I managed to lose another 21 kilograms. Now my weight is at 138. I am gradually striving for my ideal figure - 97 kilograms. I kept this weight for quite a long time, from my student days, and felt very comfortable in it. Before winter I plan to lose weight to 120, next year, if possible, I will reach the cherished 97. If my weight is a little more, I will not be upset, the main thing is that I can now move normally and lead an active lifestyle.

Tell us in more detail, what place does physical activity occupy in your life now?

I really miss physical activity, so I try to take advantage of every opportunity. If I’m on a minibus, I get off after a couple of stops and walk to the place I need. I also completely abandoned the elevator. Despite the fact that I live on the third floor, several times a day I go up to the tenth floor and go back down. Unfortunately, my schedule does not include gym classes - time does not allow, there is a lot of work. I have my own business - a yarn store. But early in the morning I still take long walks over rough terrain, I try to walk at least five kilometers. Not far from the house, in a forest belt, I make a stop, there I have a small improvised sports ground, where I even have a tire, like Denis Semenikhin, although there is no sledgehammer - they’ll knock it off (smiles). Whenever possible, I conduct classes at home: I deadlift a 16-kilogram weight, doing several approaches in the morning and evening. On weekends I try to go out of town: a week ago my wife and I were in the forest, we probably covered 15 kilometers.

How has your diet changed?

My family and I try to follow the basics of healthy eating. Thanks to this, my wife lost 10 kilograms, my son - eight. We cook meat dishes and fish in the oven or steamed; we have almost completely abandoned sunflower oil. If previously a bottle of oil would last for a week, now it can last two months and still be half full. I haven’t eaten lard or bought mayonnaise or sugar for over a year now. The last time chocolate was on our table was on New Year's Day, and then I only ate one piece of candy. Now my family’s diet consists of exclusively healthy food: oatmeal three times a week in the morning, lots of fruits and vegetables, we especially love zucchini: we bake them in slices and add them to various dishes. By the way, after a culinary competition on a project where I prepared a soufflé of zucchini with turkey, I received a flood of messages on social networks asking me to send the recipe for the dish (smiles).

Do you keep in touch with the participants after the project?

We continue to communicate with many of the participants; even after the project we managed to maintain warm, friendly relations.

What mark did the “Weighted People” project leave on your life?

— Thanks to the project, I got a lot of impressions, it felt like I was in another world. I met wonderful people: the participants, the film crew, doctors and trainers. I saw television from the inside, now I can imagine how the filming process goes, how difficult and at the same time interesting it is. Finally, thanks to the project, I can afford what I had only dreamed of before: I move freely, visit a water park, go to the forest. Now hundreds of people come to my personal page on social networks, write wishes, ask for an autograph, they began to recognize me on the streets. But I’m an ordinary person who just really really wanted to change my life. Anyone can be in my place, the main thing is a great desire and faith in yourself!
