In which city is the invasion taking place? Fun for a billion, or a special look at how the “Invasion” takes place in the wild

The rock festival "Invasion" is considered the largest festival in Russia, which is held in the open air. IN last years The event takes place in the village of Bolshoye Zavidovo, Tver Region and lasts three days. Dozens of bands perform in front of the audience on several stages. In addition, viewers are offered extensive cultural and entertainment non-musical character.

Invasion - the history of the festival

The “Invasion” festival is held under the patronage of the only rock radio station in Russia – “Our Radio”. It was first held in the winter of 1999 and was timed to coincide with the anniversary of the broadcast of “Ours”. As concert venue the legendary “Gorbushka” was chosen - the Gorbunov House of Culture, however, it immediately became clear that it was not possible to accommodate everyone in a confined space.

“Invasion” became an open air show in 2000. Then the event was a two-day event and took place in August at the hippodrome in Ramenskoye near Moscow. The festival became a real event, and its fame spread far beyond Russia. On the same site, the “main adventure of the summer” took place in 2001, and the number of spectators for the first time exceeded 100,000, but a year later the attendance record was broken again: in three days, “Invasion” was visited by more than 180,000 people!

2003 was the only year when the “main summer adventure” took place in an unusual format. That summer, a terrorist attack was carried out at another popular rock festival, “Wings,” which took place in Tushino. Due to the threat of a repeat attack, it was decided not to hold the “Invasion” in an open area, but to transfer it to the radio. As a result, on August 2 and 3, 2003, in the studio of “Our Radio” in live Many people of varying degrees of fame performed.

Invasion - festival in the Tver region

The move of “Invasion” to the Tver region took place in 2004. Then he walked into the field, which was located in the village of Emmaus. For the first time, an area for a tent camp was allocated for the guests of the event. Also for the first time, in addition to the concerts, the audience was offered a variety of attractions and entertainment.

The festival's move to the Tver region also affected the number of spectators. In the early years, much fewer rock music lovers came here than once came to Ramenskoye. Nevertheless, “Invasion” became a rock festival of federal significance, and the audience numbered tens of thousands of people.

In 2006, another change in the site of the “main adventure of the summer” took place. This time the event took place at Cape Mediterranean on Lake Orekhovoye, 160 kilometers from Moscow. In 2007, the “Invasion” did not take place for the first time, but in 2008 it was held again in Emmaus. Since that time, the festival has acquired federal significance: residents of 46 regions of Russia, as well as from other republics, came to the Tver region to listen to Russian rock music former USSR. Media representatives from 79 regions of the Russian Federation were accredited to work at the festival.

“Invasion” has been held in Bolshoye Zavidovo since 2009. The new site is three times larger than the previous one, which means that everyone can easily accommodate here. The village of Bolshoye Zavidovo is located on the 115th kilometer of the Leningradskoye Highway.

There has already been a tradition among fans of taking free days and vacations, taking into account the dates of the festival. Many people come here not only to listen to music, but also to socialize. At “Invasion” they make new acquaintances, communicate with like-minded people, and participate in competitions and attractions. All this gives the right to call “Invasion” the main adventure of the summer.

Among the festival participants were such groups as “Aquarium”, “Alice”, “DDT”, “Splin”, “Mumiy Troll”, “Time Machine”, “Picnic” and many many others. Musicians are happy to perform on the “Invasion” stage, and some of them are preparing special sets. So, for example, the group “DDT” showed their super-show “Otherwise” at the “main adventure of the summer”, and “Time Machine” celebrated its 45th anniversary. An important event There was also a reunion of the group “Nautilus Pompilius” for the sake of one performance, which took place at “Invasion”.

Festival “Invasion” 2018: where and when it will be held

In 2018, the rock festival “Invasion” will be held for the 10th time in a row near the village of Bolshoye Zavidovo, Konakovsky district, Tver region. This site has been hosting the festival since 2009, and from various points of view it seems to be the best option.

First of all, Bolshoye Zavidovo is located quite close to Moscow - on the E-105 Moscow-St. Petersburg highway. Which means that getting to the festival and organizing transfers from Moscow is not difficult.

Also, the site itself in Zavidovo makes it possible to host such large-scale events as the “Invasion” rock festival. The festival's attendance record was set in 2016 – that year it was attended by 205 thousand people. In 2015 and 2017 there were slightly fewer spectators.

Despite all the criticism towards the organization of “Invasion” in Zavidovo, there have never been any complaints here that there were about “Invasion 2008”. Then the festival is in last time took place in the village of Emmaus in the same Tver region. That festival remained in the memory for a long time as the dirtiest - the clay soil after a rainstorm became a mud swamp, which was kneaded by the feet of spectators along with the wheels of cars. At the same time, because of the dirt, the sewer trucks were unable to drive up to the toilets, and they were overcrowded. As a result, “Invasion” moved to a cleaner place.

The 2018 Invasion Festival will begin on the evening of Thursday, August 2. And from August 3 to 5 live music will play from 2 stages of the festival from morning until late at night.

Participants of “Invasion” 2018: full list and schedule of performances

If we talk about the participants of “Invasion-2018”, then in last moment 6 refused to participate immediately popular groups. To explain the reasons for such a refusal, it is necessary to return to the past of the festival.

Today, the organization of “Invasion” is carried out by absolutely different people who once founded it and made it the most fashionable and popular rock event in the country. If earlier “Invasion” was held by those who shared the common values of rock musicians and fans of this music, doing a lot on sheer enthusiasm, and the festival was completely independent, today times are completely different.

For example, since 2013, the organizers of “Invasion” have been cooperating with the Ministry of Defense. A festival of music usually filled with pacifism became an exhibition military equipment, and is now complemented by an air show of military fighters.

Such cooperation led to refusals of performances and other demarches by artists until this year.

Let’s say, in 2015, the group “Cockroaches!” was celebrated. Its artists did not refuse to perform at the festival, but turned it into some kind of act of protest against what was happening. "Cockroaches!" performed the most pacifist songs from her own repertoire, performing the Soviet anti-war children's song “Sunny Circle” on stage for the only time in its history. Between tracks, the leader of the group poured out portions of criticism on the exhibition of equipment, suggesting that for an optimal understanding of what war is, other attributes of war should be exhibited - for example, torn bodies and crying mothers.

This year, the festival organizers confirmed that they continue to cooperate with the ministry. As a result, 6 groups that had previously planned to come here refused to participate in the “Invasion”: Monetochka and the groups Distemper, Elysium, Vulgar Molly, Porn Films, Yorsh.

Taking into account the refusals, the organizers changed the schedule of the artists’ performances at “Invasion-2018”. Today's main stage schedule is as follows:

The rock festival "Invasion" is one of the most significant musical events for fans of Russian rock music. Since 1999, the most famous rock bands and performers, beloved by millions, perform on the festival stage every year. The history and organizers, where the "Invasion" festival takes place and what its features are - we will look at all this in the article.

How did the "Invasion" begin?

One of the organizers is the radio station “Our Radio”, which, with the help of the first festival, decided to celebrate its birthday back in 1999. This event took place in winter in Moscow, at the Gorbunov Palace of Culture in the format of a concert. Musicians who were loved by listeners during the year of the radio station's existence performed - the groups "Bi-2" and "Semantic Hallucinations", Zemfira.

Development of the festival

The year has ended, and where is the rock festival "Invasion" taking place? In the summer, in an open area in Ramenskoye, at the hippodrome. The event has already attracted more than 60 thousand fans of Russian rock. Since then, it has become a tradition that the festival is held as a summer open-air. The exception in the entire history of the event was 2003, when, due to a terrorist attack on music festival"Wings" event has been cancelled. The performances of the announced musicians were broadcast live on radio.

Already in 2005, the festival program began to take 3 days, and the number of participants grew so much that the organizers had to create three stages. One (main) stage is intended for the famous headliners of the event, and the remaining two are for young teams that are still unknown to the general public. Thus, the festival gives a start to many aspiring musicians and supports their aspirations. The international ambitions of the organizers led to the fact that in the same year the event expanded to Kazakhstan (Alma-Ata, Bayserk airfield), where the Invasion festival takes place, duplicating the Russian event. However, there have been no more such experiments in the history of the event.

2008 was a landmark year, when more than one hundred thousand people attended the “Invasion” rock festival. The description of the participants suggests that the organizers managed to take the event to a new level. Important problems were resolved: insufficient number of toilets, unfriendly attitude law enforcement, lack of food outlets. But in the village of Emmaus, where the “Invasion” festival takes place in 2008, during the days of the event - pouring rain. For this reason, the festival site became like a mud swamp, in which vehicles with equipment and artists got stuck.

To avoid unpleasant embarrassment, the event moved to Bolshoye Zavidovo, in the Tver region. This is the place where there will be a festival"Invasion 2009" and all subsequent events. The territory has a drainage system and much larger area. This is a full-fledged festival area.

The main summer adventure

It is under this slogan that the event has been held in recent years. This is a classic festival open air, where spectators live in tents and enjoy the performances of their favorite musicians from morning until late at night. It is noteworthy that from the stages you can hear representatives of different genres of Russian rock: from folk to metal. In the event area there is internet, there is a cafe, sports areas and showers, rental of tents and sleeping bags, and parking. At night you can visit a disco or a film screening, and in the morning you can do exercises. Traditionally, an air show takes place on the last day of the event if weather conditions are favorable.

How to get to “Invasion”?

The place where the festival “Invasion 2017” will take place will remain unchanged, however, every year the organizers improve the conditions and inform about the updated rules of the event on the official website (for example, tickets in 2017 will become personalized, and bringing flags into the fan zone territory this moment prohibited). You can also buy tickets there. Ticket sales begin in advance; there are several categories differing in price and options.

"Invasion" is held on the first Friday of July. Spectators can enter the festival as early as Thursday and stay on site until Monday. The old-timers of the festival arrive on Wednesday and spend the night outside the event grounds.

You can get to Bolshoi Zavidovo by personal transport (you also need to buy a parking space in advance), by a special bus or even by helicopter. On the days of the festival, a special train runs from Moscow, the ticket for which serves as a ticket to the event. You should plan your movements taking into account the fact that the flow of people to the festival will force you to stand in traffic jams or in line.

Instead of conclusions

Over its history, “Invasion” has become a benchmark event that all aspiring music festival organizers can look up to. Thanks to the quantity popular artists performing on the same stage, this is perhaps the largest and highest quality event that all fans of Russian rock dream of attending. Now you know where the "Invasion" festival is taking place, all that remains is to purchase a ticket.

An army of fans stormed the Tver region and surrendered to the three-day captivity of the rock festival.

“And they fed the crowd with my wife, they trampled on her chest with the world’s fist, everything...” the tongue of the aging drunken punk tangled, and he swallowed “... dear,” he spat in the dirt, and began to desperately kiss the air, in the place of which his girlfriend’s lips should have been. A friend in a blue raincoat giggled loudly, gutturally, dodged and somehow incomprehensibly managed to lap up beer from a can, sticking out her burgundy tongue with purple veins. A chilled policeman stood forlornly nearby, who turned away and did not watch as these two did not violate public order.

“Invasion 2017” greeted me with this picture. What happened next was worse.

Sedentary nomads

Just ten years ago, this rock festival was a nomad. From 1999 to 2008, he wandered around Russia, capturing from time to time Moscow, the Moscow region, Tver, the Ryazan region, and even Kazakhstan in 2005.

Eventually the festival became sedentary, settling on a huge field in the Konakovsky district of the Tver region. However, settling down affected only the place of deployment, but in no way eradicated the spirit of nomadism - free, capricious, and sometimes wild.

The Tver land is hospitable; it hosted the festival, even without having anything from it. Except that the region is mentioned in the news more often than at other times of the year, which is also not bad.

Otherwise, this is a state within a state, and the first of the states makes full use of the resources of the second: hundreds of police officers, rescuers, doctors, tens of hectares of territory. And when they tell you that " local residents there is benefit from “Invasion”, be skeptical about it.

Believe me, most locals are looking forward to the festival with trepidation. This is the time when roads turn into traffic jams and door locks are replaced with deadbolts.

The economic benefit from the “Invasion” to the locals is also literally zero. Except for the “local” merchants who smoke on their barbecues on the approaches to the main adventure of the summer. They get their profit.

The rest gnash their teeth and don’t trade. Nothing. Jars of pickles? Don’t tell me... Another option is to let the rockers stay. But there are only a few of them.

Superficial inspection

Even before you get into the mouth of the “Invasion”, you find yourself in a dressing room guarded by riot police, police and festival security. They turn cars inside out, at least that’s what it seems at first glance, and even take away bottled water. But because it’s impossible. What if there is vodka in there?

If you want to drink, buy “social water” in bottles on the festival grounds, or fill it up for free from the tap in your container there. However, water is nonsense by local standards. Beer is on the way. And vodka. And cognac. They are transported, smuggled, dug out of the ground, despite all security and order measures.

– Who are you and why are you photographing me? – the riot policeman in camouflage, as expected, was quick in his reaction when he saw that I was filming the inspection procedure of some car.

– Alexey Kosorukov, press, Tverigrad...

– Make sure that our faces don’t get into the frame, shoot from the back.

It was an impossible request. Just because . Their faces have already been seen by thousands, tens of thousands, so why hide here? “If you want not to be recognized, put on a mask,” I ignored.

A couple of ten meters from the security checkpoint in the parking lot funny company I drank cognac at the tourist table - they carried it through. Here I will curtsy to the police and the National Guard - they still managed to seize some of the alcohol, and sometimes even dig it out of the ground. The next morning, July 7, the statistics were as follows: dog handlers, together with employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Konakovsky district, 257 bottles of alcohol with a capacity of 0.5 liters.

The inspection at the Nashestviya checkpoint seemed selective to me. That same aging, drunken punk and his girlfriend, whooping with laughter, were almost put through an X-ray; their backpacks were checked carefully, for a long time, with skill. Nothing was found. Some others, including me, were examined carelessly.

– Tell me honestly: are there drugs or alcohol in your bag?

“No,” I habitually opened my bag and began to take out a camera and lenses from there, just as I usually do when entering a court, where I often have to be in my line of work.

But they no longer looked at me. They waved their hand: “Come on in,” without even looking at the contents.

I shrugged my shoulders and realized that anything is possible here.

Through hardship to the stars

A broken road, washed out by rain, squelching with mud, slippery, springing underfoot, like in a swamp, leads travelers past the expanses of tent cities to the core of the “Invasion.” The rockers were unlucky with the weather this year - the festival was drowning in mud. Just like in 2008, when it took place in Emmaus. And this time, the organizers, knowing full well about the weather conditions, did not bother to lay down banal wooden flooring, or even throw pallets, so that the fans who paid them money would feel at least a little more comfortable.

However, the experienced ones are brave, saying: “If you are a real rocker, then current circumstances will not stop you.”

Experienced people generally treat those “who whine” with contempt. And in general, since you came to the “Invasion,” you were a priori brutal, and the more difficult it is, the more fun it will be to remember the adventure over a pint of beer in a cozy pub, proudly toasting: “I survived the “Invasion.”

The territory itself is a huge food and entertainment park. There is enough of both here. The prices are outrageous, but who stops? People came here to spend and have fun. Another thing is that they even sell boiling water here; the flywheel of profit smokes with pleasure from friction against your pockets. Considering that more than 200 thousand fans are expected at “Invasion”, we're talking about almost a billion rubles in income. Ticket, parking, accommodation, food, entertainment - the bag will be full.

Toilets, however, are free. You can easily get to them through a mess of mud.

Tsar and Tsoi

On Friday, July 7, before the evening official opening of the festival and the performance of Vyacheslav Butusov, fans on the Small Stage were warmed up by little-known, but musically high-quality bands. Stomping in the mud, the rockers swayed, showed the “goat” and sang along with the musicians “ good night» Viktor Tsoi. Everything is as it should be. The music – which, let me remind you, is the cornerstone of “Invasion” – is good here, and the fans are grateful.

- How are you?- I asked a gray-bearded Tula man in a robe and with a royal crown on his head.

- Isn’t it noticeable to me? – he smiled. The king was slightly tipsy and charmed those around him with his goodwill and willingness to take a selfie together. “We have been celebrating this “Invasion” here for more than ten years now. And the most important thing that people have and what remains with them in the future, past and present is emotions. Everything else doesn't make sense.

– I’ve traveled 4,000 kilometers and I’m not disappointed in anything, everything is great, the mood is just great! – the adult rocker from Novy Urengoy smiled. - Slush? The concert covers all this. This is my fourth time here, everything is just wonderful!

Meanwhile, waiting Big stage and performances by the gurus of Russian rock, the people inspected the exhibition of military equipment from the Ministry of Defense. A crowd of people surrounded something lying on the ground.

In the gaps of the figures one could see the bloody leg of a child on the grass. He squeezed through, and my heart was relieved - a mannequin. The instructor showed how to provide first aid.

A couple of hundred meters away, people were crowding at the entrance to the “Invasion” registry office, where they could jokingly tie themselves into marriage bonds for the duration of the festival.

Nearby there was a tent with the sign “Condom”, which made many people very happy. I’m not a prude, but it was jarring: adults with children approached the tent (and there are a lot of children here, including very little ones), and the children, widening their eyes, looked at the phallic candles and lollipops. Adults took it for granted. “No,” I think, “perhaps I’m a hypocrite, but damn it, what and what are they thinking about?”

Returning to the cornerstone, there will be a lot of different music at “Invasion”, although many people don’t like modern Russian rock - they say it’s “completely crazy”. Tens, hundreds of thousands of fans came here to prove that this is not so.

Having enjoyed themselves, having eaten tons of shish kebab (the organizers calculated that in 2016, four tons of kebab were consumed at Nashestviya), tons of pilaf (eight tons last year), tens of thousands of pies (82,342 at the end of 2016) and tanks of beer, fans They will go home, change their leather jackets for business suits, their tents for offices, and wait a year for the next Big Adventure of the summer.
