The Tver land is hospitable; it hosted the festival, even without having anything from it. Except that the region is mentioned in the news more often than at other times of the year, which is also not bad.
Otherwise, this is a state within a state, and the first of the states makes full use of the resources of the second: hundreds of police officers, rescuers, doctors, tens of hectares of territory. And when they tell you that " local residents there is benefit from “Invasion”, be skeptical about it.

Beer is on the way. And vodka. And cognac. They are transported, smuggled, dug out of the ground, despite all security and order measures.

It was an impossible request. Just because . Their faces have already been seen by thousands, tens of thousands, so why hide here? “If you want not to be recognized, put on a mask,” I ignored.

The inspection at the Nashestviya checkpoint seemed selective to me. That same aging, drunken punk and his girlfriend, whooping with laughter, were almost put through an X-ray; their backpacks were checked carefully, for a long time, with skill. Nothing was found. Some others, including me, were examined carelessly.

A broken road, washed out by rain, squelching with mud, slippery, springing underfoot, like in a swamp, leads travelers past the expanses of tent cities to the core of the “Invasion.” The rockers were unlucky with the weather this year - the festival was drowning in mud. Just like in 2008, when it took place in Emmaus. And this time, the organizers, knowing full well about the weather conditions, did not bother to lay down banal wooden flooring, or even throw pallets, so that the fans who paid them money would feel at least a little more comfortable.
However, the experienced ones are brave, saying: “If you are a real rocker, then current circumstances will not stop you.”
Experienced people generally treat those “who whine” with contempt. And in general, since you came to the “Invasion,” you were a priori brutal, and the more difficult it is, the more fun it will be to remember the adventure over a pint of beer in a cozy pub, proudly toasting: “I survived the “Invasion.”
The territory itself is a huge food and entertainment park. There is enough of both here. The prices are outrageous, but who stops? People came here to spend and have fun. Another thing is that they even sell boiling water here; the flywheel of profit smokes with pleasure from friction against your pockets. Considering that more than 200 thousand fans are expected at “Invasion”, we're talking about almost a billion rubles in income. Ticket, parking, accommodation, food, entertainment - the bag will be full.
Toilets, however, are free. You can easily get to them through a mess of mud.

On Friday, July 7, before the evening official opening of the festival and the performance of Vyacheslav Butusov, fans on the Small Stage were warmed up by little-known, but musically high-quality bands.
