Participant of the show “Weighted People” from Kazan: “The hardest thing for me will be to say goodbye to kebabs. The name of the winner of the second season of “Weighted People” has become known. It didn’t bother you that the whole country would see you

To do this, participants live in a house for 16 weeks, where nutritionists, fitness instructors and psychologists work with them. The winner of the project - the person who has lost the most kilograms (measured as a percentage of the initial weight) - is awarded Grand Prize- 2.5 million rubles.

In the second season of the reality show, the winner was Kazan resident Timur Bikbulatov. He lost 53.7 kilograms. Timur came to the project weighing 148 kilograms, and at the final weigh-in the scales froze at 94.3. Thus, he lost 36.28% of his weight, ahead of his nearest rival by 0.96%.

By the way, victory was not easy for Timur. He dropped out of the show after the seventh week, when he lost the fewest pounds compared to the other participants, but then returned to the project again.

Timur Bikbulatov is 30 years old. He suffered from childhood excess weight, but was always the life of the party. Played in music group, in KVN, married a slender beauty. But the kilograms still did not allow him to lead a full life. For example, he loved karting and auto racing, but he could not engage in this sport - he did not fit into the car seat.

Timur tried to lose weight by taking dietary supplements and fasting, but nothing helped. When obesity began to provoke other diseases, he decided that something needed to be done. His friend helped him make the decision, suggesting that he go to the casting of the project “Weighted People.”

I have two children, I wanted to raise them, see them grow, be an example for them. But I realized that if this continues, I won’t be able to be with them for a long time, because excess weight does not improve health,” says Timur.

Now Timur Bikbulatov has changed beyond recognition. Not only the excess weight went away, but also health problems.

Before the project, my wife and I tried for three years to have a third child, but alas, everything was unsuccessful. But now we are waiting, it will be soon. This is proof that anything is possible,” Timur Bikbulatov shows a photo of his happy pregnant wife.

It's no secret that reality shows are broadcast on tape. And filming ended not on May 28, when the finale of the program was shown, but in the winter. Returning home, Timur did not let everything take its course.

During the project, I absorbed all the information, I understood that when this project ends, a new one called “life” will begin, and it is necessary not only to preserve the result, but to multiply it, says Timur.

Now he continues to lose weight. On this moment his weight is 84 kilograms. This is exactly the figure he set for himself at the beginning of the project.

Now my life brings me joy. Even from training muscle pain you feel pleasure - this means that you have trained well. Previously, I had difficulty climbing to the second floor - shortness of breath, palpitations. And today I run to the 14th floor without problems. Previously, my favorite time of year was winter - I put on clothes and it’s not clear what goes on - a ball or a square, I hated summer. Now I wear T-shirts and shorts,” says Timur.

The guy not only dramatically changed his weight, but also his life. Before the project, he worked in the construction industry, then he decided to quit everything, realizing that his calling was to help fat people gain slim figure and health.

I have people who come to me to study. The program by which I work with them differs from the program on “Weighted People”. In the project it is emergency and is not suitable for real life, because in addition to the need to lose weight, we also have a family, work, and we need strength to remain on them. Therefore, you need to lose weight gradually, says Timur.

Tips from Timur Bikbulatov for those who want to lose weight:

1. Visit a doctor and have your body examined. There are no healthy fat people. The weight loss program will depend on the presence of diseases.

2. If, based on the results of the examination, you only have problems with your heartbeat (all fat people have them), then you can begin the preparatory stage - this is cardio training.

3. Walk 3 kilometers every morning and evening. When this distance is easy, you can increase the mileage to 4-5, preparing the heart and respiratory system for stress. Timur starts his day at 6:30 am with a run and ends the day with it.

4. At the same time, adjust your diet. Diet selection is an individual matter. But it is beneficial for everyone to reduce the amount of food consumed by 20-30%. Moreover, remove this 20% from all dishes in your diet, and not just from sweets and starchy foods. You will be hungry. But this is normal - overweight people have very big size. And remember that there are no magic diets or pills. Otherwise there would be no fat people.

5. Now you can start strength training. We need to make it clear to the body that we need muscles every day. It is necessary for the volume of muscle mass to increase and fat to decrease.

6. Exercise every day, not every now and then. Then you will get a “vaccination” of sports and obesity will not catch up with you. Don't make excuses to take care of your health. Love yourself and spare no effort, time and money on your health. It will thank you.

Timur Bikbulatov, as the winner of the show, received 2.5 million rubles. He invested them in his new business. But he considers the main prize not money, but a new worldview and a “new head”, which this project gave him.

Timur Bikbulatov, as the winner of the show, received 2.5 million rubles. He invested them in his new business. But he considers the main prize not money, but a new worldview and a “new head”, which this project gave him.

Timur Bikbulatov, show winner: “First of all, this victory over yourself and over your bad habits. I became much stronger, I realized that even if someone goes against you, you need to fight to the end. And if you act honestly towards yourself and others, you will definitely win. Now I specifically look at my old photographs and think: “Who is this ugly and fat man?” You can't imagine how much everything has changed since the project. This is just fantastic, I’m a completely different person now!”

An additional prize - 500,000 rubles - was received by a 32-year-old Yakov Povarenkin from Izhevsk, who continued to lose weight after leaving the project. He managed to overtake everyone losing weight outside the show and lose 56.9 kilograms, which is 33.87% of his original body weight.

Lika Blank, general producer of STS Media:“The main result of the project is not the lost kilograms of the participants, but the fact that in return they receive faith in their own strength, which they pass on to all viewers.”

Yulia Sumacheva, general producer of White Media:“The participants in the second season of the Weighted People project showed incredible results. For me, each of them is a winner, since each was able to accomplish the most difficult thing - defeating themselves.”

Unlike the first season, there were four participants in the finale of the show instead of three. In addition to Timur Bikbulatov, Alena Zaretskaya from Ukhta, Margarita Bogatyreva from Orenburg and Yan Samokhvalov from the village of Monino, Moscow Region, competed for the main prize.

Yan Samokhvalov, 22 years old, - 66.4 kg (- 35.32%):“I decided to take charge of myself when I learned that I might not live to see 30. And, frankly, without the trainers and specialists of the project nothing would have happened. It was the coolest, but also the most difficult period in my life. Yes, I always wanted to reach the final and win, but the main thing is that the life of a thin person lies ahead of me.”

Alena Zaretskaya, 28 years old, - 41.2 kg (- 32.44%):“I came to the project so that someone would believe in me. And in the finale, on the one hand, I was happy, and on the other, sad. After all, I said goodbye to those who put a lot of effort into me all this time. Special thanks to Irochka Turchinskaya and Denis Semenikhin. Until the end of my life I will remember Denis’s phrase said during training: “If you start something, bring it to the end!” Then these words helped me a lot.”

Margarita Bogatyreva, 24 years old, - 32.8 kg (- 29.55%):“If I hadn’t gotten on the show, I would never have lost so many kilograms. I can honestly say: I was born again here.”

Second season. Only numbers

4,050 km (and this is practically the length of the whole of Europe from north to south) - bike ride on a simulator for the entire duration of the show;
. Participants “swimmed” more than 15,000 km on a rowing machine;
. The participants collectively lost more than 800 kg in four months;
. 8 participants individually lost more than 50 kg;
. The host of the show, Yulia Kovalchuk, changed more than 40 outfits during the project.

Limoncella saved me from soda

According to the creators of the project, this season all 18 participants knew what they were getting into. During all this time, the “weighed” never broke into a locked refrigerator, as happened last year. And when in one of the first competitions the opportunity arose to eat whatever he wanted, the only one who decided to do it was Dmitry Shareichuk, but he also ended up choosing a low-calorie watermelon. Alexander Podolenyuk also resisted the temptation to drink harmful soda, replacing his favorite drink with “limoncello” - that’s what the participants called water diluted with lemon juice. By the way, in the second season the menu was varied and was never repeated.

Yulia Bastrigina, project nutritionist:“Sometimes, due to changes in well-being or in tests, I had to personally adjust the diet for a particular participant. To ensure a variety of dishes, I studied culinary sites and consulted with our wonderful chef Evgeniy Lopin.”

Nice bonuses for working on yourself

“Weighted people” were helped not only by trainers and project specialists, but also by invited guests. For example, the hosts of the show “MasterChef. Children" Andrey Shmakov, Giuseppe D'Angelo, Alexander Belkovich and the winner of the show Alexey Starostin told how to prepare not only healthy, but also delicious food.
Alexander Rogov, the host of the show “Catch in 24 Hours,” also conducted a fashionable master class, and the goalkeeper of the Russian beach soccer team, Andrei Bukhlitsky, organized a match between the teams. The finalists of the first season also came to support the participants: Vesta Romanova, Maxim Nekrylov and Pyotr Vasiliev.

In addition to difficult trials, the “weighted” also received pleasant bonuses. So, before the final, they spent a weekend in Sochi, where they rode on a yacht, danced in a rock club, tried their hand at bungee jumping and experienced the Formula 1 track. By the way, the latter was Timur Bikbulatov’s long-standing desire: heavy weight did not allow him to drive a sports car, but after losing weight, Timur managed to do it.

Nikolai Kharkov’s dream also came true - during the project he wrote a song, calling it the anthem of all “balanced people,” and recorded it in the studio together with the participants of the second season.

Participation and victory in the show “Weighted People” changed the life of Timur Bikbulatov. An overweight lawyer from Kazan turned into a fit fitness trainer. Timur told the editors of the site how he managed to go this route and not break down even after filming ended.

— Share your secret on how to lose extra pounds and maintain the achieved weight?

— It is important to understand why you need it. If you're just unhappy with what other people say about you, you won't lose weight. You need to feel this need: what should change when you change? Answer this question for yourself, and if the reason is significant to you, it will help you reach the end. To maintain weight, you need to work no less. If it was hard to lose weight and you went overboard, always remember this. Then maintaining weight is a little easier, because we lose weight through pain, physical fatigue, body resistance - we need to remember this so as not to repeat it again.

— How have you changed in the year since the end of the project? How do you take care of yourself now, what do you eat? Do you allow yourself at least occasionally unhealthy foods, fast food?

— I finished the project with a weight of 94 kg, in a few months I was able to lower it to 80 kg, but I realized that I felt uncomfortable and returned to normal at 87 kg. I feel good in this form. Then I started working as a trainer - at first not by choice, but at the request of other people, and now I really like it. The year after the project was very busy. Both my routine and my daily schedule have changed a lot. Now I get up at 5 am, the first training starts at 7. I eat 7-8 times a day every 1.5-2 hours. I train 6 days a week: in the morning - cardio, in the evening - power training. Together we get 3.5-4 hours of sports per day of our own classes.

At some point, I caught myself thinking that I still consider my goal to lose weight, but this task has already been completed. What to do? I was worried for three days, and then I set a new goal - a more athletic one: now I have to gain weight to 110 kg, then lose it again to 85 kg. Naturally, it will not be fat tissue that will be gained, but muscle mass, after which it will dry out, that is, now I want to get a body of a different quality. To see what I've been working on for a very long time. To gain weight properly, I have to eat. quality products, so my diet now is quite high in calories and different from what it was during the project. I'm okay with fast food. If I need to eat something urgently, I can afford something from there. But in small quantities and I will try to choose the most harmless product on the menu.

— How difficult was it, after the end of the project, to continue in real life to maintain the pace taken on the show? How not to break down and not relax?

— The first days after the project I kept the same rhythm and routine as I was there. Arriving home, I immediately went to the gym. The pace was frantic, and I realized that I didn’t have enough time for my family, so I had to normalize my schedule. I remember my feelings when, shortly after the end of the show, I went to the store for groceries, and I needed to buy not only healthy food for yourself, but also various goodies for children. I walked into the yogurt aisle and started shaking! I really wanted yogurt - sweet, with sugar. Then I remembered the words of Yulia Bastrigina that if nervous system requires something, you need to give it to her. Just a little bit. That's what I did, there were no negative consequences. There is no need to treat such cases as failures. Get this out of your head so that you don’t develop a feeling of guilt, which, again, provokes the accumulation of fatty tissue in the body. There is nothing we can do about the temptations: the grocery store will continue to sell many harmful products. Don't treat them as temptations. It is simply a product that is not in your diet and life.

Timur Bikbulatov received 2.5 million rubles as the person who lost the most weight. During the 16 weeks of the project, he lost 54 kg. Participation in a show about weight loss radically changed Timur not only externally, but also internally. He spoke about the show, relationships with the participants and how he managed to overcome the “fat psychology” in an interview with AiF-Kazan.

Non-random accidents

Daria Khodik, AiF-Kazan: Timur, how did you get involved in this project?

Timur Bikbulatov: One day I was visiting my best friend Artyom Filippov, and the first season of “Weighted People” was on TV. And Artem drew attention to the program and said that it would be nice for me to get on this show. I say it’s not bad, of course, but there’s casting, how many thousands of people dream of getting in, and it’s generally unclear whether there will be a second season. Several months pass, a normal working day, and suddenly Artem calls: “You have a few hours to come to such and such an address. But he doesn't say why. “Dude, I’m at work,” I tell him. “Have I ever let you down or deceived you at least once in my life? If I were you, I would go.” There was great intrigue. I arrived... to the Kazan office of STS. I made it literally at the last moment. We filled out the form, had our photo taken and sent the data to Moscow. A few days later I received a letter by e-mail with a request to come to the second stage of casting in the capital. Here the project psychologists talked to us. Then they called me and informed me that I had passed the second stage, after which all I had to do was undergo a medical examination and take tests. And already on August 24th was the first day of filming in Gorky Park.

The show “Weighted People” is the Russian analogue of the world famous reality project The Biggest Loser. 18 participants from all over Russia, suffering from excess weight, get a chance not only to radically change their lives by getting rid of annoying kilograms, but also to compete for 3 million rubles. Under the guidance of trainers and nutritionists, participants go through physical tests, diets and competitions. The host of the project is Yulia Kovalchuk, the trainers are Denis Seminikhin and Irina Turchinskaya.

- Didn’t it bother you that the whole country would see you?

At the start of the project, Timur weighed 148 kg. Photo: STS PR service

No, I decided that accidents in our lives are not accidental. So I arrived at the casting: there was a door in front of me. You can not open it and come to terms with your condition, or use this chance. Of course, the desire to change myself outweighed. Moreover, at that time I was in the state of another attempt to lose weight. At the start of the project, I weighed 148 kg, and back in May (2015) I weighed 164 kilograms. My son influenced me. Once he dropped the phrase: “You can’t lose weight.” These words really resonated with me. I decided to prove that I can.

- Have you always suffered from obesity?

Since childhood. One of the company was fat. As a 14-15 year old teenager, I was engaged in freestyle wrestling and even then competed in the weight category of over 83 kilograms (now, by the way, I weigh 84). Of course, there were attempts to lose weight that led nowhere. The weight went away and came back with more. Eventually I stopped trying to lose weight on my own. Since I was 27, I have been counting down my life, although it would seem that it should have been the other way around. Fatigue appeared from everything, some actions, movements. My knees and back began to hurt, and my sports injuries began to get worse. There were problems communicating with the opposite sex.

Burned bridges

- How did your family react to the fact that you would be out of life for several months?

When I realized that I would end up in the project, I quit work (I was engaged in construction), dismissed all the workers so that nothing remained that connected me with my past life. I had to sacrifice a lot, but I don’t regret anything. After the project, many people from past life They stopped communicating with me and, on the contrary, many new friends appeared. As the project psychologist told us, many people communicate with fat people and even pretend to be friends in order to assert themselves on a subconscious level at their expense. And as soon as a person changes, gets into shape, they break off the relationship.

Timur with his family. Photo: From personal archive

- With whom did you have the warmest relationship on the project?

I treated everyone involved well. It takes a lot of strength to undress and show your “ugliness” to the whole of Russia, understanding that you will be cited as a bad example. This also needs to be overcome. They are all great, they strong people. I treated everyone well, but I had the warmest relationship with Sasha Podolenyuk from Chelyabinsk, with Yan (Samokhvalov) at first, and at the end of the project Alena Zaretskaya greatly surprised me. This only person, who supported me very much. When I returned, I was greeted negatively, and Alena said: “You don’t deserve this.” And this explains my action, when at the pre-final weigh-in I gave her the kilogram I earned at the competition (more precisely, minus a kilogram. - Author's note).

The turning point came when the team voted against you, the captain of the blue team. The audience never understood why this happened.

There were several moments when I contrasted my opinion with the team's. When I became captain, I was forced to think not only about myself, I had a goal: I wanted to bring the main team of the blue team to individual competition. For example, I tried to study before arriving film crew. I wanted to set an example not with words, but with actions. But apparently not everyone understood this.

- How did you build your life after you left the project and until the moment you returned?

I dropped out of the filming process, but not from the project itself. I had the opportunity to compete for the second prize (500 thousand rubles). Several times a week I talked with coach Denis Semenikhin, various training programs were selected for me. Plus I experimented with different loads myself. I read it various literature, listened to coaches, talked to sports doctors. I have chosen a program for myself, adapted to my everyday life, which will allow me to study in such a way that I do not lose muscle mass, but fat. I didn't know that I would return. Sport leads not only to improved physical activity, but also to improved blood supply to brain cells and improved mental health. He helps me become strong in every way.

Timur was helped by his coach Denis Seminikhin. Photo: STS PR service

- How did you take the news that you were returning to the project and were you disappointed by the team’s reaction?

It was a pleasant shock. They asked me: “Well, have you already unpacked your suitcases?” I assumed that I would not be welcome. Although I didn’t expect such a reaction from everyone who stayed there. Well, that gave me strength.

The team also reacted negatively to your return because you spent time at home, and they haven’t seen their families for a long time...

It’s more difficult at home; you have to artificially create conditions for yourself. There are temptations everywhere - you need to buy cottage cheese, and to do this you need to pass by the department with baked goods that smell. And after the show, all the receptors, sense of smell, sense of smell became more acute. Every time I had to control myself when driving past the same McDonald's. During the project we were physically deprived of such an opportunity. I don't think it was easier for me.

- What moments do you remember most?

Loads and moments associated with food, especially in the first two weeks. I couldn't adapt. What was my diet like at home? Bread, meat, pasta. There were no vegetables, I didn’t recognize greens, I didn’t consider zucchini and eggplants as food. And then I came to all this “straw” and it turned out that it wouldn’t work without it. There has been a shift in the concept of “normal” food.

I remember the buggy competition (the participant had to pull a car weighing more than half a ton). It was terrible; Ian was still sitting in the buggy, weighing 170 kilograms. I remember at 4-5 weeks I really wanted to talk to my family and see them.

Do not be shy!

- You received 2.5 million rubles for winning the competition, what will you spend it on?

I'm going to buy exercise equipment for myself. Now I’m working out outdoors with a group, forcing them to fight their inhibitions. I’m preparing a joint program with a fitness center; we want to launch group classes for overweight people. I want to connect my life with this, promote sports, healthy lifestyle, proper nutrition. 80% of fat people sit at home and don’t want to go to the gym. But you don’t need to be ashamed of mistakes or clumsy movements. You should be ashamed of your inaction.

- How has your life changed after the show? Are they being attacked on social networks?

They are attacking. A lot of people ask me: describe your diet, how much you ate and how you trained. I’ll say right away: this mode is not suitable for ordinary life. At the end of the project, we ate 600-800 calories a day, whereas in normal life breakfast should be 600 calories. But we still need to perform other functions, and all this requires energy. The body needs to be taught to convert fat into energy. And the body needs to learn for a long time to part with fat. After emergency weight loss, the problem of maintaining weight arises. The body is accustomed to bad things, and it strives back to its old weight in giant leaps. The smoother we arrive at the result, the more likely it is that the body will be able to adapt.

Over the course of a year, Timur lost 80 kg. Photo: From personal archive

- After such weight loss, stretch marks and excess skin may appear. How to solve this aesthetic problem?

Well, I'm not a girl to pay attention to this. There are many different means up to plastic surgery. Certainly, aesthetic problem there is, but it is insignificant compared to what I experience and how I live now.

- After the victory, you continued to lose weight. Now you weigh 84 kilograms, haven’t you already lost too much weight?

After the victory, when I weighed 94 kilograms, I came home, took off my T-shirt and said to myself: “I’m not satisfied.” When I reached 85, I changed my training program and started doing more strength training to replace fat with muscle.

About life after the show

- Do you communicate with the participants after the show?

Yes, I communicate with Ian (Samokhvalov - Author's note) periodically. I have a very warm relationship with Alena Zaretskaya, and with Yasha (Yakov Povarenkin from Izhevsk), who took second place. I would like to compete with him in the final. He continues to lose weight and is also promoting healthy image life. This project simply « plowed » . Fat people often suffer from consumerism. They can't afford good clothes, but they can afford any food. These consumer moments are completely gone for me.

Now Timur himself teaches others the right way of life. Photo: From personal archive

- What hobbies have come into your life?

Besides “sports addiction”, I want to return to auto racing. I am drawn to extreme sports - ATVs, motorcycles. My dream is to go to Sochi and repeat the jump from 200 meters. I want bright emotions not from things, but from actions (Timur’s Instagram).

Timur dreams of repeating the jump he accomplished on the project. Photo: From personal archive

Before that, my wife and I tried to have a child for three years, and as soon as the team kicked me out of the project, we succeeded. Now we are expecting our third child (the couple has two sons, 14 and 9 years old. - Author's note). See how much things have changed?
