A month ago, Yegor Druzhinin suddenly decided to change his job. He exchanged the mentor’s chair in the “Dancing” project on the TNT channel for membership in the jury in the new show of the “Russia 1” channel “Everybody Dance!” Naturally, fans of the show were concerned about why this happened. The programs are similar in format, so why, as they say, change the awl for soap?
Then, in a conversation with Woman’s Day, the choreographer explained his decision by saying that “Dancing” takes up too much of his time...
“Basically, this is, of course, fatigue from the project, moral wear and tear. First of all, it is due to the fact that you get very used to the participants; it is very difficult to make a decision on their fate,” admitted Druzhinin. - Plus quite a lot of work. Since the project is serious, we shoot 24 hours a day. Plus there are also separate castings, that is, one way or another, I devote 5 months of my life a year to “Dancing.” We parted very well, we still had absolutely normal business relations,” Egor assured.
And now it turns out that Yegor was disingenuous. Both in the fact that I was tired of the project, and in the fact that I remained friends with everyone. In a recent interview, the choreographer decided to reveal real reasons of your departure. It turns out that his colleague Miguel is to blame.
“My departure from “Dancing” is a combination of circumstances. You can't work with a colleague for whom you don't respect. Miguel, although he leads the opposing team, nevertheless remains my “equal” colleague. I put this word in quotation marks, because I can’t dream of any equality in the project,” Druzhinin frankly admitted in an interview with TV Program. - Miguel is responsible for the concert tours of the participants and runs the school organized by the creators of “Dances”. And in principle I don’t like competitions.”
Still, the conflict between Miguel and Yegor in the “Battle of the Seasons” did not pass without a trace.
Let us recall that last year Druzhinin left the project with a scandal after the audience considered it necessary to remove his favorite Dima Maslennikov from the show. Yegor did not agree with this decision and demanded to change the voting rules. Miguel, instead of supporting his colleague in this situation, realizing how difficult it is to part with his favorite dancers, condemned him and spoke rather harshly on social networks about his behavior. The creators of the project then managed to resolve the conflict, but the sediment, as they say, remained. Egor spent one more season in the project, but there was no longer peace between the mentors: they constantly teased each other, found fault with the numbers of participants other than theirs, and often spoke to each other without due respect. Which ultimately led to the fact that Druzhinin decided to leave the project.
“There was a time when Miguel and I were friends. Nowadays, at every corner, Seryozha tries to remind him that he is now an adult, that I have not been an authority for him for a long time. And I don't pretend. He, like anyone else who passes the test of attention, has great ambitions. “I have principles,” Yegor said in the same interview. - Now I am more than comfortable among the jury members of “Everybody Dance!” I am among well-mannered and friendly people - universally recognized professionals.”
Miguel is a dancer (photo can be seen below), singer, stage director, ballet soloist, choreographer and sound producer. He is most familiar to Russian viewers from the “Dancing” project. There he acted as a choreographer-mentor and jury member.
Childhood
In fact, the hero of this article is not named Miguel (the dancer took this pseudonym when he entered show business). His real name is Sergei Shesteperov. The future choreographer was born in the city of Khimki in 1982. He inherited his colorful appearance from his father, Cuban Miguel Messa. Well, the boy’s upbringing was carried out by his grandmother (a teacher of literature and Russian) and his mother (an electrical engineer).
Dancer Miguel's parents have a very tragic fate. In the 80s, Sergei's father was forced to go back to Cuba. His mother could not follow him. The choreographer was able to meet his father when he had already matured significantly - at 33 years old. Miguel Messa came to Russia and lived for a month with Sergei and his mother.
Studies
Shesteperov became interested in the art of dance as early as early childhood. It all started when, at the age of four, the boy saw a scene from the ballet “Giselle” broadcast on TV. Seryozha was so inspired by this that he immediately began staging his play “ Swan Lake" The boy's benefit performance took place among his relatives and neighbors, to whom he demonstrated a four-act performance together with his friend Masha.
Sergei studied his first two classes at the Zelenograd school. Then the future dancer was expelled from there. The situation was like this: all of Shesteperov’s classmates were against the black guy studying English language. The next day the boy came to school with an October badge attached to his butt. A trial immediately followed, and a week later Seryozha’s mother was already looking for him new school. This was the educational non-state institution - Secondary School "Harmony".
For three whole years (from fifth to eighth grade), Shesteperov attended the Fouette school of choreography for children. The future dancer graduated from school as an external student. Well, he continued to polish his artistic abilities in Choreographic school, which was at Bolshoi Theater. There the young man received an excellent education and mastered well classical dancing. At that time, Sergei was greatly influenced by Michael Jackson, who became his idol and most beloved performer.
Carier start
Gifted young man noticed while still studying. 1999 is the year it started creative biography dancer Miguel. At the age of seventeen he received an offer to participate in the new show “Metro”. According to experts, this was the first musical in Russia where drama was harmoniously combined with vocals, music and choreography. For Miguel, the performance was the beginning of a career as an artist in this genre.
Then the young man was invited to solo in the Russian version of the ballet Notre Dame de Paris, based on the novel of the same name by Victor Hugo. Further, Shesteperov got into the Russian version of the musical “Romeo and Juliet”. He still considers working on this project one of the most significant stages in the formation of his own career.
Quite paradoxically, the development of a dancer as creative personality It was not participation in “Romeo and Juliet” that contributed, but, on the contrary, leaving the musical. Miguel was kicked out because he was late for one of the rehearsals. According to the young man, if this had not happened, he would have remained an artist exclusively within the framework of musicals.
"Star Factory"
In 2004, Miguel had a desire to try himself in the Star Factory project. This was already the fifth season of the show, where the “diva” herself, Alla Pugacheva, became the artistic director. Having demonstrated excellent recitation skills, excellent vocal abilities, plasticity and excellent artistry, the young man reached the finals of the TV show.
After his success at the Factory, Shesteperov was regularly invited to organize productions of various mass events- concerts and fashion presentations. Miguel also took part in the creation of video clips and filming. The young man collaborated with such brands as Hess, Levi's and Mercedes-Benz. He also choreographed several films (“Rzhevsky against Napoleon”, “Merry Men”, “Hitler Kaput!”). Shesteperov also had the opportunity to work as a choreographer on the circus project “The Secret of the Giant Elephants.”
Alan Badoev is the person with whom the dancer Miguel soon began to collaborate. The choreographer’s biography changed creatively when he began working with this talented Ukrainian music video director. Since 2011, Alan and Miguel have been filming videos for compositions by various performers: Zara and Alexander Rosenbaum - “Encore Love”, Valery Meladze - “Stay with Me”, Max Barskikh - “Student” and many others.
"Maidan's"
This grandiose project became a new stage in the development of Miguel’s creativity. The young man was involved in the dance project as the main choreographer, jury member, producer and co-author. “Maidan’s” started in 2011 on the Ukrainian channel “Inter”. Well, the action itself was filmed on Independence Square in the center of Kyiv.
Previously, only a couple of dozen people took part in Shesteperov’s productions. Now he hired up to five hundred dancers in each city that was selected for the project. Plus, the preparation was carried out in a short time (about three days) and had to rehearse for eight hours every day. In an interview, Miguel admitted that he slept for a whole week after the end of the project. But creative activity and the efforts in such harsh conditions more than paid off - the show went great, and was subsequently included in the Guinness Book of Records as the largest dance project in the world. Film about Lyudmila Gurchenko
Dancer Miguel, whose biography can serve as a role model for aspiring artists, managed to work with the great actress and singer before her death. Documentary about the life of Lyudmila Markovna became the last appearance of the legendary artist on the screen.
Then the choreographer recalled how very worried he was before his first meeting with Gurchenko, and how pleased he was to work with her later. The actress shocked Shesteperov with her complete creative dedication. She never complained about fatigue and did everything that Miguel outlined as a film director.
A television
In September 2011, a project was launched on the Inter channel, which had a very pretentious name - “Show No. 1”. Music producer became Philip Kirkorov himself. In the final of the project, the team “Unreal Boys” won, not inferior in brightness and drive to their leader Miguel. Since November, the choreographer began producing them.
In February 2012, “Unreal Boys” took fourth place in the National selection for the Eurovision Song Contest. And in August they were nominated for prestigious award“Golden Star” from Alla Pugacheva within music festival, held in Yalta. By the way, its director was Miguel.
In the fall, another excellent project, “ShowaStgowan,” was launched on the Ukrainian “New Channel.” The program was directed by Miguel together with Oleg Bondarchuk. During the program, its participants transformed into legendary musicians of the present and past - Lady Gaga, Stevie Wonder, Madonna, Elvis Presley and many others.
The Channel One project “One to One” became the Russian version of the TV show described above. Shesteperov was involved in it as a choreographer. Miguel also directed a talent competition on the NTV channel called “ Big change"and the reality show "I want to VIA Gro”, which discovered such stars as Erica Herceg, Misha Romanova and Anastasia Kozhevnikova.

The hero of this article got into this TNT channel project in 2014. Moreover, Miguel became not only the leading dance director, but also a member of the jury and co-producer. Shesteperov's colleague from working on the show was famous actor and choreographer Yegor Druzhinin.

“The conflict arose due to Tatyana’s statement that the number shown on stage was contemporary art. But I know what contemporary art is, but Tatyana, judging by the performance and her comments, does not. I am responsible for my words, so I go into conflict. With this I want to remind the other mentor of where he sits, for whom he is responsible, stating some facts. This number, in which a couple has sex in a sandbox, and then the guy pours cream on himself, could be called modern art only in the 40s of the last century. This is not the case now. I understand this,” Miguel said.
The permanent mentor of the show “DANCING” noted that he considers the presented number not vulgar, but irrelevant. According to Miguel, what Yulianna Kobtseva and Wade Lyon showed on stage was topical in our country in the late 80s - after the fall of the Iron Curtain. Also, the choreographer categorically disagrees with his colleague’s opinion that a dancer must be beautiful. Miguel believes that art has other criteria.
Tatiana Denisova
“Having taken the place of a mentor in the show “DANCES,” Tatyana Denisova immediately began to say that she was a person of art, and I was a standard pop singer. But if you are a person of art, then you cannot have a criterion of beauty!” - Miguel said. He also considers some of his colleague’s decisions regarding the composition of the teams controversial: “When Teona and Yulia Gaffarova, then Gaffarova made her rival in the battle. But Tatyana initially wanted Theona on her team and left this place for her, despite the obvious fact. She made a mistake."
In light of everything that happened, Miguel indulged in nostalgia and remembered his ex-colleague on the project Yegor Druzhinin, with whom he sat side by side in the chairs of the mentors of the show “DANCING” for three seasons. “Egor was the person who carried with him not just a certain point of view, but also life. The mentor of the second team of the project, Miguel, believes that the behavior of Yegor Druzhinin at the last program “Battle of the Seasons” is nothing more than a “farce.” Many fans were seriously alarmed after the choreographer defiantly left the hall with last concert. This reaction from Druzhinin was caused by the audience’s decision that Dmitry Maslennikov should leave the project. Egor noted that the number of votes often depends on how popular one is in in social networks one or another participant.
Druzhinin’s colleague Miguel sometimes also disagrees with the audience’s decision, but, nevertheless, condemned his partner for such an outburst.
“I cannot comment on what is happening now, but I know for sure that having lost Alice, I did not allow myself to do such things. I accepted the rules of this show and have always accepted them. There were only two exceptions: Savchenko and Kryukova in the first season and Staev in the second. And for the second case, the question is why my opponent didn’t put numbers on this unrealistic character that would reveal his full potential. Why did they take him on only after he was on my team? Why is a dancer like Oleg Klevakin now blossoming like Savchenko once was? What I said about Dima is pure truth. And if I had not said this, such a decision would not have been made. Proof of this is the choice of finalists for the second season. Then he didn’t take him to the finals, and now he’s ready to leave the show for him? This is just a farce!” the mentor wrote on his social network page.
In turn, Miguel is not going to leave this project, his team is preparing for the next concert, and the jury member himself, in spite of everything, thanked the audience for their active participation in the voting, since without him the show would not exist.
“This project is for you, viewers. Without you we are nothing. Thank you for being with us, and the winner is yours. Love it, hate it, whatever,” said the choreographer.
TNT management has already announced that the next broadcast of the “Battle of the Seasons” program will take place on April 23. Director of the TNT channel Igor Mishin said that they managed to find a solution by agreeing with Yegor Druzhinin.
“We came to a compromise. The decision has been made - the show will go on. The broadcast will take place, as usual, on Saturday at 19:30. New rules are being introduced. Based on the voting results, three nominees will be determined for elimination. The final decision on who will leave the project will be made by the mentors live on air. At the same time, “star” judge Sergei Svetlakov will be given back the right to grant immunity to elimination nominees, thereby keeping the participant in the show. As a result of the aggravation of all relations, the dramaturgy of the project will intensify, and the participants will have full motivation to express themselves on stage with the best side", said the director.
In turn, the choreographer urged viewers to vote more actively and not turn the “Battle of the Seasons” into a battle of fan clubs.
"Nobody belittles audience voting! On the contrary, we want viewers to vote more and more. I am outraged not that the viewer decided to kick out one of the dancers, but that his fans did not vote for this participant in sufficient numbers,” Druzhinin noted on Avtoradio.
