Events in honor of the 74th anniversary of the Victory in Perm will last all day.Let us remind you that the main leitmotif of this year’s celebration will be songs of the war years.
A large festive concert and interactive platforms on the city esplanade will begin at 12:00 and last until late in the evening. Thus, the program on the main stage will consist of several blocks. In particular, one of the blocks will be dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the complete lifting of the siege of Leningrad, the other thematic block will be called “Singing Victory”. The concert will be attended by the combined choir of generations, the Perm provincial orchestra, the ensembles “Solar Rainbow”, “Pear”, “Fair”, the Yulia Trester dance school, the musical theater “Orpheus”, the ensembles “Antares” and “Divertimento”, the choir “Mlada” and other Perm artists and groups.
The invited artists will be singer and musician, winner of the Golden Gramophone award Denis Klyaver, singer and composer Mark Tishman, founder and vocalist of the Utah group Anna Osipova, singer and participant in the Voice show Oleg Shaumarov, vocal project VIVA.
At the same time, an open-air museum of military equipment will be located on Lenin Street. At the monument to “Heroes of the Front and Rear” there will be a field kitchen, children's interactive playgrounds, interactive thematic zones that will reflect certain aspects of life at the front and in the rear - an exposition of the front rear, a front-line cinema, a photo studio, a dog breeding museum, a health battalion, and will also be presented modern army of Russia.
On the small stage in the area of the monument “Heroes of the Front and Home Front” from 11:30 there will be a concert program with the participation of Perm vocal ensembles, groups, choirs and artists.
The celebration will last until the evening and will end with a 10-minute fireworks display, which will be launched at 23:00 from the right bank of the Kama. You can watch the fireworks from the Kama embankment and Cathedral Square.
Today Leto Park opens on the esplanade. These are four entertainment zones located on an area of 7.5 thousand square meters. It was erected in the block between Borchaninova Street and the monument to the Heroes of the Front and Rear.
Skazarium. Every weekend in the Skazarium, scientists from Perm universities, museum employees, athletes, businessmen and financial experts, psychologists will give lectures, and famous Perm residents will read fairy tales for the children. Film screenings, theatrical performances, and musician performances will also take place here.
On weekdays (except Mondays) events in the Skazarium will take place from 18.00 to 21.00, on weekends from 12.00 to 22.00.

The ethnolandscape festival “Call of Parma” will be held in the village of Seregovo, three km from Cherdyn from July 21 to 23.
“Call of Parma” includes folk music concerts, reconstruction of medieval battles, games, fun, shaman rituals, and performances by the birch bark mask theater. The central ice town "Permmyach" opened on the esplanade in Perm, the theme of which in 2018 was football.

The territory of the esplanade in Perm (undeveloped, open space, wide street with alleys) runs along Petropavlovskaya Street and Lenin Street. In the east it abuts the House of Soviets, behind which there is the regional philharmonic with an organ concert hall and a cultural and business center. The western part ends with the building of the Academic Drama Theater.
Perm esplanade today
The Esplanade is one of the most popular public spaces in the city. Festivals, celebrations and other events are held here all year round; newlyweds arrange photo sessions, children frolic in playgrounds, and adults stroll along the promenade and relax in cafes.
The central point of the esplanade is the Monument to the Heroes of the Front and Rear, which represents three standing figures: a warrior, a worker and the Motherland, which united all the people during the hard years.
Behind the monument begins the Alley of Valor and Glory, divided into three thematic parts. On the first alley, “Historical”, there are slabs dedicated to major historical dates. The second carries plates with the names of famous residents of Perm, and the third contains the immortalized names of plants and factories. One of the first memory plates was dedicated to the founder of the city Vasily Tatishchev. According to tradition, the laying of new slabs and stars is carried out on City Day, June 12.
Events and entertainment
The esplanade hosts the main city holidays, such as White Nights and City Day. In the summer, as part of the festival “Perm period. New Time”, a town with entertainment appears here; Bicycle rental is available. In winter there is a skating rink, ice figures and slides are built.
Interesting fact In the summer of 2013, snow, a New Year tree and several hundred people in winter clothes suddenly appeared on the esplanade. This is how the shooting of the comedy film “Yolki 3” took place. Anyone could take part in the crowd. During filming, several thousand townspeople gathered in the alley to form the letter "D", which would later become part of the phrase "Happy New Year" at the end of the film.
Festival House
In winter, the interactive platform “Festival House” starts operating. From December to March, adults and children can take part in entertainment and creative programs. Performances, concerts, master classes, dances, games, exhibitions and much more are organized daily.
In 2020, the Festival House site is not open.
On the first of the two floors of the entertainment complex there are:

Summer Park
In the summer, on the main city alley, between Borchaninova Street and the monument to the Heroes of the Front and Home Front, “Summer Park” begins work. From July to September, visitors can listen to fascinating lectures, watch films and plays, play board games, meet master craftsmen, or simply relax on soft outdoor furniture.
All events are free. You can come and relax from 15:00 to 21:00 on weekdays, from 12:00 to 21:00 on weekends.
Ice town
This is not the first year that an ice town has been built on the esplanade in the center of Perm. Palaces, slides, sculptures and other small architectural forms made of ice decorate the square in front of the theater. In the evening, the figures are illuminated from within with multi-colored lamps, making the atmosphere in the town especially fabulous.
Every year the design of the ice exhibition changes. So in 2018, the theme of the town was dedicated to the culture of East Asia, and a year earlier to the World Cup, and in 2019-2020 legends of ancient Parma

On the evening of December 31, the entrance is closed for a technical break, but it opens at 11:00 pm and is open until 4:00 am.
Ice rink
Every winter, the 3,000 square meters of the esplanade are transformed into an ice rink, surrounded by massive sides and ice sculptures. There are rental shops, skate sharpening shops, storage lockers, cafes and warm rooms nearby to keep warm.

Projects for a new esplanade in Perm
Since the early 2000s, architects have proposed various projects for the improvement and reconstruction of the esplanade, including the construction of pedestrian bridges, recreation areas, sports and playgrounds, bicycle and jogging paths, a new fountain, an amphitheater and other infrastructure facilities.
Subsequently, the regional administration repeatedly discussed reconstruction options and organized architectural competitions. One of the presented projects even provided for the unification of adjacent streets into a single pedestrian zone with the esplanade and the construction of an underground cultural and shopping complex with shops, public spaces, and concert venues.
In 2018, the Perm Territory authorities approved a reconstruction project from SB Development LLC. Work began without delay - in the same year, and the first stages were completed in the summer of 2019. In the area from the House of Soviets to Popova Street, a fountain, an amphitheater, a sidewalk were built, as well as landscaping and artificial hills were built along the perimeter of the square. 400 million rubles were allocated for the implementation of the project.
Reconstruction of the site continues in 2020 square in front of the House of Soviets. According to the work plan, benches, toilets, video surveillance and irrigation systems will be installed here. For the convenience of visitors, pedestrian paths will also be laid, bicycle parking and a children's playground will be equipped. In addition, the administrative building will be renovated. Completion of work is scheduled for the end of September 2020.
History of construction
Until the middle of the last century, the area here was built up with the private sector and two-story wooden houses. A small river named Permyanka flowed through. The appearance was modest and unpresentable.
In the 1960s, the area was cleared of old houses to build a modern neighborhood. But construction never began. Architect Gennady Igoshin and Chairman of the Economic Council Anatoly Soldatov decided to leave this square empty, plant trees and pave the alleys.
This is how an esplanade appeared in the city, a place where folk celebrations and festivals began to be held. Later, the building of the Perm Academic Theater was erected here, known today as the Theater-Theater.
In 1985, the main city fountain, popularly nicknamed the long-suffering fountain, opened here. The planned light and music of the fountain worked for only one day. At the beginning of 2000, the fountain finally began to play and sparkle. But in 2011 it was dismantled and removed from the esplanade. And in 2015, a new fountain appeared with the name “Theater”. At its opening, songs of the war years were played, accompanied by the singing of jets and the play of light.
In 2008, the Alley of Valor and Glory was opened, where slabs with the names of outstanding figures of the region were installed.
In 2010, next to the esplanade, near the building of the Legislative Assembly, an original art object “Power” appeared - these are six large concrete letters in the form of benches, which spell out the word “power”. By its appearance, this installation should remind officials of their true purpose - serving the people. The letters have now been removed from the square.
In 2019 A light and music fountain was opened in the park near the Legislative Assembly building. The new building is a flat structure with a water screen and a laser projector. The fountain system operates 23 pumps, electronics and two purification stations, which are located underground. The fountain operates in the warm season, performances take place in the evening at 22:45 on weekends, as well as on Wednesday and Friday.
Esplanade in Perm online

On June 12, the city esplanade will turn into a festive “city” with its own squares, streets and alleys, each of which will be dedicated to a specific theme. All sites will be united by the concept of the event “Perm. Five minutes to three hundred,” reflecting the development of the modern city on the way to the 300th anniversary.
Thus, the space near the Theater-Theater on this day will turn into an Arts Square, where from 12:00 to 22:00 various genres and types of art will be presented: the World Street Cinema Festival, programs from the Perm Academic Theater-Theater and the Evgeniy Ballet Theater Panfilov”, a rich circus block, a modern dance program and much more. This year the stage complex will be designed in the style of an ancient temple and will become quite large-scale; its construction on the esplanade has already begun. The program will end on the main stage with a performance by the invited guest, singer Yolka, her concert will begin at 21:00.
In parallel with the program on the main stage, festivals will also begin their work, which will be located at the monument to the “Heroes of the Front and Rear.” Everyone will be able to find something to their liking. Closer to Lenin Street, the festival of youth hobbies “Structure” will begin its work; at the monument to “Heroes of the Front and Rear”, street dancers from all over the country will present a competitive program as part of the street dance championship “All Styles in Power”; blacksmiths will surprise with the art of metalworking X festival “The Crucible of Svarog”, a soap bubble show will begin on the small stage, and an amusement park for children of different ages will open closer to Petropavlovskaya Street.
For lovers of active leisure, a sports festival will begin, during which you can not only watch demonstrations from martial arts to motor sports, but also take part yourself - pass the GTO standards, play laser tag or chess with friends, and much more.
The carnival procession “Bright Perm” promises to be especially bright, because this year, along with professional artists and creative groups, the townspeople themselves will take part in it - the participants will join the “boxes” “Wonderful Perm” and “Family Perm”. The first will present people who are capable of working real miracles - saving the lives of children with deadly diseases, the second - different and dissimilar families of the city and region, who will prepare their own costumes to become participants in the carnival. Also among the carnival “boxes” there will be “Industrial Perm”, “Hospitable Perm”, “Kalina-Malinka” and “Perm Bright”. For the first time, the carnival procession will take place in the evening and starts at 18:00 from the Central Department Store.
The holiday will end with a 10-minute fireworks display, which will be launched from the disbanded military unit “Red Barracks”. Venues will be equipped for spectators: Komsomolskaya Square, the square near the Palace of Culture named after. Soldatova, Karl Marx Square.
