The Muz-TV channel appeared on the Russian broadcast network on 01.05. 96 It was founded more for political reasons than musical ones. Krutoy’s holding company, ARS Records, becomes its owner. Five years later, A. Usmanov buys 75 percent of the shares of Muz-TV.

In 2008, the logo changes again and new TV programs are added. At this time, A. Kurenkov, known from the sports show 7TV, is in charge of the design. In 2010, the two channels merged and a single holding company, UTV, was created. 07/26/12 the creation of a new youth “U” is announced. One of the most popular channels in Russia, Muz-TV, debuted on Russian television back in 1996.
