Key concepts of human ethology. Manifestations of primativity

From the author: I first brought together these characteristics in the book “Man and Woman: War or Peace?” in 2011. At that time, this was the only summary table of examples of combinations of all ranks and all degrees of primacy of men. She later migrated to “Anatomy of Love and Fakes.” Despite the fact that the information is already in its fifth year, for some reason this question still causes confusion. I'm posting the table online.

Let me remind you that biological rank and social status do not always correspond to each other. Very often, high-ranking people are bankrupt, prisoners, exiles. And low-ranking ones become owners large companies, and sometimes states. For example, they are inherited or they are appointed to high positions as vice-chairmen.

High-ranking highly primative- a person with ambitions and qualities of a leader. Strong, self-confident, conflicting, selfish, successful. Follows the lead of his instincts, is rarely guided by logic and reason, behavior is subordinated to emotions, most often strong and reaching the extreme point. Such people are frantic leaders who do not know how to suppress their desires. They have many enemies, which they successfully fight. The criminal authority - the head of the gang, as well as famous scandalous and artsy actors and singers - VRVP people.

High-ranking medium primative- a person endowed with all the qualities of a leader (some of them are listed above). Behavior is often subordinated to emotions and instincts (including the instinct of a leader, hierarchical instinct), but often logic and common sense, embedded in upbringing, prevail and dominate over emotions, which is reflected in behavior. Such people can be strongly influenced by instincts, they can partially suppress them, but at the same time remaining leaders. Part of successful, rich entrepreneurs and famous creative people avoiding scandals - VRSP.

High-ranking low-primative- a person with high ranking potential and abilities. Possesses all or at least all the basic qualities of a leader. He knows his worth, and this price is high. Self-confident, knows how to achieve his own goals. Has high conflict resistance. However, unlike the VP, the NP is well brought up. His instincts (with rare exceptions, for example, excluding the instinct of a leader) and emotions are secondary in relation to logic, common sense and education. Such people, despite the many qualities of a leader, may from the outside look like HP due to the fact that they do not give free rein to their emotions and do not strive to demonstrate their high rank everywhere. Representatives of the most active, most civilized and most successful stratum of society. Aristocrats, famous scientists, some businessmen, top managers, many politicians are VRNP people.

Mid-ranking highly primative- a person who has a not very pronounced instinct of a leader knows his own worth, but does not strive for the heights. Strongly subject to instinctive influence. Emotions take precedence common sense. Typically, SRVP men are little-known singers, musicians, artists, poets, in other words, creative people who have achieved some success, but have not risen to the Olympus of fame and are not particularly striving for this.

Average rank average primative a person does not strive too much for a high status, but does not put up with too low one. Behavior is determined by both emotions and logic, depending on the situation. Employees holding lower management positions or simply specialists are SRSP people.

Mid-rank low-primative- a person who works hard and earns good money, but does not reach the top. He is often a workaholic. There is conflict resistance, but it is not very significant. Prefers not to get involved in conflicts. If any significant problems arise, he deviates from the chosen path. Well-mannered, cultured. Emotions and instincts are suppressed by upbringing. His actions are guided by common sense. All good performers, productive specialists, lower-level researchers - SRNP people.

Low-ranking high-primitive- a person occupying the lowest levels of the social hierarchy, the bottom. He does not possess the instinct of a leader, he is a slave to his emotions and instincts, often base ones. Ill-mannered, rude, aggressive. He behaves servilely with the strong, and mocks and mocks the weak. Due to its high primativeness, it is conflict-prone, but at the same time unstable in conflict. Socially negative figure. He is prone to crimes, which is what he most often does in life, but he is not able to somehow rise in the criminal hierarchy. Typically, NRVP people are street punks, alcoholics, homeless people, low-caste criminals, and cheap prostitutes. In a word, all the social bottom.

Low-ranking mid-primative- a person who does not claim a high position in society. Located at the bottom of the social pyramid. Emotional and subordinate to instincts, but not so much as to completely lose control of himself. Most often he is uncouth, rude, has a low education, and does not shine with culture. People without education, doing low-prestige work (such as a laborer or a janitor), and unable to rise higher are NRSP people.

Low-ranking low-primative people do not have their own voice, they are servile, servile, afraid of everything. They are terrified of conflicts because they are unable to emerge victorious from even the simplest situations. Any difficulties, even the slightest, plunge them into panic and depression. They are prone to self-deprecation. Avoid making any “sudden movements”. They are sincerely convinced of their servile destiny. The rise of others up the ranking ladder may be perceived as sedition and condemned. Any person with a higher rank or rank potential is perceived by the NRNP person as a ruler. As allies, such people are useless and even harmful. If they manage to be drawn into the conflict on their side (which is almost impossible due to fear of conflicts), they will not help, but they will easily betray their ally at any, even imaginary, signs of the enemy’s strengthening. Having gone over to the opposite side, they can, out of cowardice, give away any secrets. At work, the effectiveness of such people is low due to the reluctance to climb the rank ladder, which means a lack of motivation for highly effective work. An obsequious slave is a NRNP person. However, oddly enough, I have met such people even among middle managers.

An important note. As I wrote above, it is a mistake to judge rank only by the position held. In the current realities, even the head of a company, deputy, minister, president can be mid-ranking. This is due to the fact that modern corporate governance will not allow a person with independent thinking, independent, and almost impossible to manage, to take the helm of BP. It is more beneficial for corporate management to have a predictable, obedient and executive SR in a leadership position. He does not come to power, but he is “enthroned” by the elite whose interests he serves. This happened at all times (for example, the puppet emperors of the late Roman Empire), but now it has acquired a massive scale.

Consider the hierarchy of a tribe consisting of large number individuals of both sexes, taking into account this sexual heterogeneity. The first thing that fundamentally distinguishes him from a family is that the tribe has a fairly powerful buffer part; there are many men in the tribe. That is, the loss of an individual male is not so dangerous for the survival of the tribe as a whole, and it will not affect reproduction in any way; an inseminating male will always be found. Second, the tribe is heterogeneous. There are strong and weak, stupid and smart, etc. But what is much more important for the further narrative is that there are high-ranking and low-ranking, high-primitive and low-primative.

Natural hierarchy of a tribe with sexual substructures.

The hierarchical structure of the male part is similar to the structure of the herd - pyramidal. Position in the hierarchical pyramid (rank) is determined by the overall vitality of the individual. In an ancient tribe, this vitality is determined, as in a human herd, by ranking potential plus physical data and aggressiveness. Although the pyramid is supported not only due to the rigidity of dominance, but also due to rational motivation, and due to the altruism of the lower layers.

At the very top of the pyramid of power is the leader - the most aggressive and powerful warrior. He wields his stone ax more quickly than anyone else, so challenging his power is fraught with trouble. Psychologists call such a man an “alpha.” Ethologists call such a male high-ranking. Below the leader - the most powerful and aggressive warriors of lower rank are the middle rank "gammas", but they have real chance take the place of leader if necessary. Even lower are all the rest, low-ranking “omegas” who may not even dream of becoming a leader, but dream and strive to become mid-ranking.

High-ranking people get bigger and better pieces of loot. Women love them. Since we are here considering the biological foundations of our species and instinctive behavioral programs, then it will be more logical and convenient to use the terminology of ethologists who study animal instincts.

Signs of a high rank according to Protopopov:

High self-esteem, tendency to rate others low
Belief in one's infallibility, absence of doubts
Determined concern for your comfort, health and safety
Optimism, confidence in the future
Boastfulness, self-righteousness
The tendency to make decisions quickly, without much thought.
The ability to act regardless of the opinions and problems of others, asociality
Lack of reflexivity.
High threshold of awareness of one's guilt
Painful perception of criticism, difficulties with self-criticism
Decisiveness, entrepreneurship, initiative, perseverance
Great professional, social and property ambitions
Organizational skills
Openness, shamelessness, extroversion
Stubbornness, obsession, conflict initiative, selfishness
Conflict resilience
Sexual success

Signs of low rank according to Protopopov:

Low self-esteem, tendency to form an inferiority complex
Ability to tolerate inconvenience, discomfort, and unsafe living conditions
Tendency to pessimism and depression; uncertainty about the future
Indecisiveness, long thoughts before making decisions.
Dependence on the opinions of others, fear of offending someone, reflexivity
Low threshold for awareness of one’s guilt, shyness (feelings of guilt arise at the slightest provocation)
Willingness to be satisfied with the existing state of affairs, conformism
Lack of big career and property ambitions
Low organizational skills
Altruism, self-sacrifice, self-criticism
Tendency to bow to authorities and believe them; religiosity
Secretiveness, introversion
Shyness, compliance, modesty, timidity, law-abidingness
Touchiness and scrupulousness
Sexual failure

This pyramidal hierarchical structure is still copied today, for example in Russian army. The rank of a male in the hierarchy is determined by certain signs on his shoulder straps, and the rank and file are artificially subjected to humiliation, torture and deprived of the opportunity for sex in order to bring down rank ambitions and force them to obey unquestioningly.

Women seem to be a little on the sidelines, not clearly entering into the male hierarchy and not clearly forming their own clear hierarchical structure. And at the same time they stay close to their men. But when men need to throw a scandal, they quickly unite. The female community forms the reproductive core of the tribe, so it is unusually close-knit. And not only psychologically, but even physiologically. In women of the group, even ovulation is synchronized. And they all stare at the leader and strong warriors. And none of them like weak men. This has a deep biological meaning. The offspring must be viable, so the father must be a strong, viable man. The weak and unviable should not reproduce, even despite the excess of women. Therefore, in many, including some modern cultures Polygamy is practiced. A viable (and therefore rich) man has many women and children from them. The communities of many animals are also organized in a similar way. Strong males have harems, while weak males have no chance of mating with a female. Everything is logical and rational from a biological point of view.

While the tribe remained small, all the instincts of people exactly corresponded to their biological purpose and real way of life. Therefore, the majority in the tribe were still strong and quite aggressive men with high ranking potential and behavior governed by these instincts. Simply put, they did not think much about the meaning of life and other high matters, but lived in a simple way. They did what they wanted. And they wanted what instinct dictated. Since a person’s desires and emotions are nothing more than a manifestation of the instincts that control this person. People who live by instincts, that is, desires and emotions, are called highly primative . Living by reason - low-primative . We will be especially interested in the high-ranking low-primitive members of our tribe. Psychologists designate such a man with the letter “beta.” These are the men who think more with their heads than trust their emotions. This is either a shaman or a skilled hunter who prefers the excitement of the hunt to the fight for the place of leader. In the ancient tribe there were few high-ranking low-primitives, since instinct corresponded to the way of life, and ancient man It was still more profitable to be highly primal. In addition, the low-primative high-ranking leader really did not like the high-primative high-ranking leader, whose male hierarchical instinct saw him as a competitor. After all, both the shaman and the good prey hunter enjoyed great authority among their fellow tribesmen, had their own opinions and interests, which inevitably undermined the authority of the leader and led to conflicts with him. But since both the shaman and the prey hunter were very necessary for the leader and did not really lay claim to his place, the leader tolerated them in small quantities. Well, the female instinct of women could not understand why they were not like everyone else, and mistook low primacy for a low rank. That is, not all women were capable of loving them. There were few of them in the primitive tribe, very few... However, later, as society grew larger, the role of low-primitive people increased sharply, they multiplied and formed the basis of civilization.

All this is very important for our further narration, so the reader must remember all these terms and their meaning, at least in a simplified way; they will appear very often in the text. Moreover, understanding the further text is unthinkable without knowledge of these terms:

High-ranking – self-confident, successful, authoritative, cool.
Low-ranking - a weakling and a loser.
Highly primative - living only by emotions and desires (instincts).
Low-primative – capable of rational behavior, capable of contrasting reason and calculation with emotions and desires (instincts).
Rank potential – the ability to become high-ranking.

Types of males:

High-ranking highly primative - violent, self-confident, unteachable, uncontrollable, constantly proving in a fight that he is right. In ancient times - a leader. Nowadays, he is either an alcoholic and a loser, or a bandit.

High-ranking low-primative – Self-confident, intelligent, strong male. In ancient times - a shaman or a good hunter. Nowadays, he is a successful businessman, boss or highly paid specialist.

Low-ranking high-primitive - a loser, a coward and a scumbag. Six. At all times.

Low-ranking low-primative – a coward and a weakling, but trainable. In the ancient world - food for tigers. In the modern world - a lifelong petty clerk.

Mid-ranking ones combine the qualities of high-ranking and low-ranking ones in different proportions. Transitional form. When interacting with low-ranking people, they behave like high-ranking ones. When interacting with high-ranking ones - like low-ranking ones.

Now read the meanings of the terms at least 5 more times to remember them better. It is important. And bookmark this page in case you forget. I promised not to overuse scientific terminology. But without these key concepts, further storytelling is simply unthinkable. They are the basis for understanding the structure of human societies, evolution, history and gender relations.

Let us make a reservation right away that no matter how low-primitive a person is, he is not able to completely suppress his instincts with his mind. Only to some extent. Highly primative – not capable at all. Moreover, instincts can turn off reason. Then they say that a person acts spontaneously, in a state of passion, on a whim, overwhelmed by passions, emotions, stupidly, etc. If instinct blocks a person’s information input channels, they say that the person is stupid. For example, a highly primative child may not perceive information from a teacher, since the child’s hierarchical instinct does not consider the teacher sufficiently authoritative and high-ranking. But as soon as the teacher’s authority is raised or elements of play are introduced into teaching, the blockage is removed and the child begins to perceive information normally. That is, if you take into account the play of instincts, then they can be controlled. For example, a man’s mind says that he needs to lose weight. But it is very difficult to suppress the food instinct with reason. I want to eat. In this case, you can make the assumption that you need to lose weight in order to please young women. In this case, a strong sexual instinct works against the food instinct. Therefore, it is easier to lose weight. These methods are used by psychology and psychotherapy. If instincts interact with a weak mind, then this is called stupidity. If with a strong mind - emotionality.

So, the ancient small tribe consisted mainly of highly primative individuals with a relatively high ranking potential and controlled by innate instinctive behavioral programs at both the level of the human herd and the level of the tribe with a paired internal structure. Instinctive programs were formed in the living conditions of a small community of people surrounded by wild nature, and corresponded to the same conditions. The main differences between the set of human instincts level ancient tribe from gregarious ones - the appearance of weak altruistic instincts, elements of innate morality, low primacy, as well as instincts of interaction between a male and a female in a stable pair.

Everything that is described in this chapter, all the qualities formed over hundreds of thousands of years of evolution of our species and tens of thousands of years of evolution of our species, elements of behavior and the foundations of relationships necessary for human survival, were fixed genetically in the form of innate instincts. It will be difficult for you to believe this, but at the same time, a simple truth is obvious to any biologist: WE HAVE NOT CHANGED SINCE. Well, there, the loincloth began to be called a mini skirt, it is sewn from a different material and decorated differently. And the mammoths have already been eaten. And everything else is the same. That is, everything that we just spied with such interest in the tribe of our ancestors is enshrined in our instincts (innate biological programs) to this day. Our entire civilized life today consists of pieces of these programs, and reason, upbringing and education only serve and slightly correct their work.

For further discussion, it is important for us to understand one very important thing:

Our biological species formed when people lived in small communities. Family, small tribe. That is, our innate instincts contain behavioral stereotypes necessary for survival in a family or small group surrounded by wild nature in an environment of danger and lack of food. Since then, we ourselves and our instincts have not changed, only the conditions of existence have changed. And instincts do not correspond to the changed conditions of existence. In other words, desires and emotions control us as if we were living in primitive world, but in reality it’s the 21st century and technogenic civilization.

From the book Woman. Textbook for men"

Primativity is an indicator that shows how strongly innate instincts are manifested in human behavior - the pack instinct, the instinct of procreation and the instinct of survival. Highly primative people base their behavior mainly on instincts. Low-primitive, rational people rely mainly on reason and logical reasoning in their behavior.

Most people rely on both instinct and reason when making decisions. But the ratio of intelligence to instincts may be different.

The purpose of the test is precisely to help you understand how rational you are and how instinctive you are. This will help you better understand the hidden motives behind your behavior and your relationships with other people.

More information about primativity

« »

« Actually, this feature human psyche has long been taken into account by scientists, and they even introduced it for her special term - "primitiveness" . The meaning of this word is very similar to “instinctivity”. This is not primitiveness, but precisely primativity, which comes from the word “primacy,” that is, dominance. Or from the word “primates”, in the sense of monkeys. Which also fits quite well here. Therefore we can say that“primativity” is the degree of expression of instinctive behavior patterns in relation to rational ones . To put it quite crudely, the more primitive a person is, the closer he isby your behavior to animals.

At first glance it may seem that the example of primacy is underdeveloped and uneducated man , overgrown with hair, foul-smelling, loud and non-literary expressing his simple thoughts, constantly eating and drinking something and soliciting every passing past the woman. A familiar pattern, isn't it?

Whereas a person with absent primacy is a well-pressed and elegant man in a formal suit and glasses, with three higher education, with a thoughtful, intellectual face and a leather briefcase with business or scientific papers. Or with a laptop.

It's almost like that, but not at all. In fact, the degree of primitiveness almost does not depend on the level of education of a person . That is, there can be a highly primative academician and a low-primitive (that is, highly rational) janitor (although, of course, in fairness it must be said that the opposite is much more often the case).Primacy is manifested in the extent to which a person’s behavior, regardless of his consciousness, is influenced by innate instincts . And this sometimes depends little on the level of education, the social environment in which a person lives, his position and other factors.

People reward instincts

Let's return to the question of how society relates to the animal nature in person's behavior . It seems that he does not approve, since cruelty, rudeness, intemperance in desires, gluttony (remember: “Well, you’re an animal!”), and unceremoniousness are usually attributed to the animal nature(“You act like a donkey!”),excessive sexual preoccupation (“March cat”, “male”), vindictiveness and other not very pleasant qualities.

That is, people should not behave like animals, but should be guided in their behavior by moral standards, moralityand other reasonable rules accepted in this society, which clearly do not encourage the manifestation of animal instincts.

But let’s imagine a group of women discussing a young mother who is very attached to her child and has devoted all her thoughts and actions to him:"This good mother, she is strong maternal instinct. Such a mother is a model for others!

And there comes another mother, a bad one. Two months after giving birth, she gave the child to the nanny and went to work herself. She doesn’t think about the child at all, she has no maternal feelings, how is that possible! And that woman over there is absolutely terrible, she doesn’t want to have children at all!”

Familiar stereotypes, right? That is, in general being an animal is not good, but having an instinct like a mother's is wonderful!

What about our sport, which is entirely built on the idea of achieving victory at any cost? Doesn't he indulge the survival instinct in the form of a struggle forhighest place in the sporting hierarchy? And endless action films, what instincts of the audience do they satisfy? Is this a significant part of our life? And how much intelligence and humanity is there? eskogo?

So in reality people who have declared themselves to be creatures who control their lives with the help of reason (homo sapiens - reasonable man) cling to instincts with all their might, encourage and develop them. They encourage their animal nature, although they declare the need to live wisely and consciously.

This is our world, and you need to live your whole life in it, and preferably with pleasure.

What is instinct?

But now we can ask what it is, this very instinct that clearly reveals animal origin in a person. Or, on the contrary, the process of movement from a rational being to an animal?Judging by the events taking place in the world, these two processes are taking place simultaneously.

It must be said that modern science does not really like to discuss the topic instincts , since she has not yet been able to create a unified classification or give a definition of instinct that suits everyone.

At first there were five to ten instincts, and then the number reached several hundred. After all, to instinct am people relate phenomena of a completely different order. For example, we instinctively withdraw our hand when we touch a hot surface. And we instinctively shrink and concentrate in moments of danger.

On the other hand, we also perform the process of breathing and controlling the muscles of the body during movement not consciously, but instinctively, but these are completely different instincts.

On the third hand, we can talk about the instinct of procreation, the instinct of motherhood, the leadership instinct - these are not at all the internal mechanisms that control breathing.

Here m We will consider only those phenomena that are indicated in the third option. That is those complex processes that influence a person’s behavior beyond his consciousness, forcing him to attach great importance to certain values and priorities and to perform actions resulting from this choice. These processes are unconscious, that is, they do not come from the human mind (here we mean the rational component of human thinking), but from some other centers that a person initially recognizes as very important.

Wewe willconsiderationtjust a few instincts

. procreation instinct , consisting in unconscious people's desire to produce offspring. Moreover, we are not talking about sex, but specifically about the desire to have children.

. herd instinct , which consists of an unconscious desire to belong to some group (pack) where a person feels safe. The same instinct determines a person’s position in society, his place in the hierarchy of people;

. instinct of self-preservation (survival) , which consists in an unconscious desire to survive at any cost in case of danger (can be suppressed by will and internal attitudes). Another form of manifestation this instinct - an unconscious desire to help a blood brother - another person experiencing danger or suffering, that is, mercy;

. leadership instinct - an unconscious desire to occupy the highest possible position in society (in one’s own sphere and at one’s level), where it is safer and one gets the tastiest pieces of all kinds of benefits. Here another form of manifestation of this instinct is possible - the desire to protect the weaker, to take responsibility for their lives and well-being.

It is clear that this list may anger an instinct specialist.(ethologist) , but we will not claim this honorary title. For further reasoning, what we have indicated is enough for us (and if these instincts are not enough, then we will add more).

When is a person reasonable?

If man is a dual unity of the animal and the rational principle, then is it possible to distinguish when a person is controlled by the rational? the beginning, and when - the animal? Usually uh These states are easily distinguishable.

If you are in a situation whereyou have enough knowledge, information and time to assess the current situation and make an informed decision, then most often yours behavior is reasonable. This is the reasonable behavior of a housewife in the kitchen, a worker in a factory, a director of an enterprise in his office and so on.They perform more or less standard actions according to previously known rules, nothing threatens them and does not cause much concern, so instincts are not in demand.

But if you have just been appointed director, and this position is new and alarming for you, then your instinctive safety mechanisms may unconsciously turn on. Which will manifest themselves, for example, in the desire to surround themselves with “safe” people (relatives, friends, former colleagues), although objectively their business qualities may not meet the necessary requirements.

That is, instincts come to our aid, When we lack information and time to make informed decisions (that is, rational, rational)solutions. For example, a decision needs to be made quickly, and you you can not with your rational mind (no matter how complex it may be) understand what is happening. A loud sudden sound, unusual vibration, incomprehensible speech or threatening intonations in the voice of a stranger, incomprehensible events around you , lack of necessary information - all this, and many other factors can trigger us instinctive processes.

In a difficult situationThe mind cannot make an unambiguous assessment of the situation, so it is quickly pushed into the far corner, and a person’s control comes into control. e t block of instincts . First, the survival instinct launches its analyzers for danger - is there a threat to life? Then he suggests either taking some actions (close your eyes, listen, hide, etc.), or, if there is no direct threat, triggers the following instincts. For example, a herd - a person begins to look for another person - together it is safer. If another person needs help, the survival instinct makes us rush to help him, and so on.

Instinct helps us survive

That is, it can be stated that instincts help a person survive in a dangerous world . The man is absolutely ra national with completely suppressed instincts, he will not live here for long - without receiving the necessary information, he will go without fear to see what kind of incomprehensible noise he heard. A person with instincts would have long ago fainted from the incomprehensible noise, but this one is going to find out who shot whom and why. Or what was itnoise-like soundfalling wall. And so on.

That is, it turns out that if our world were absolutely safe, if it never turned off the hot and cold water, electricity, there would be no earthquakes and other disasters, there would be no crime - in such a world instincts are really almost not needed. Unless the instinct of procreation would be useful, and it can easily be replaced by cloning. As you understand, approximately such living conditions exist only in some European countries and in North America. It's so safe there that most local residents(not immigrants from the East) there is simply nowhere to apply their instincts. Due to lack of demand, they are fading away.

But This is only a small part of our planet. Otherwiseour world is not like that. Someone is constantly fighting in it,fights for powerthere are lawbreakers ov, occur disasters, earthquakes, accidents and other life-threatening events I - so we need instincts. Relatively speaking, they are needed in order to prolong existence our body.

The number of disasters and other life-threatening events in our world is constantly increasing. Disasters are the result of climate change on the planet under the influence of transformative (seemingly intelligent?) activities of people . Intelligent scientists come up with new products, no less intelligent entrepreneurs produce them, and very intelligent consumers purchase them. And the planet, as a result of this total intelligence, dies. But not quickly, but gradually, forcing a person to train and develop his instincts, that is, to become closer to her, Mother Nature (after all, animals are part of Nature).

That is, it looks like today the entire Planet (as a single living being) is interested in reducing intelligence of people (in terms of science, engineering and technology)so that they heat it less, pollute it, destroy natural resources and forests.

Actually, these processes in the world and occur - the number of the population with predominant instinctive behavior is constantly increasing- the population of African and Asian countries is growing and migrating to Europe and America. And the indigenous population of European countries is falling, since low-primitive nations do not strive to reproduce (the instinct of procreation is asleep, and Reason does not want to burden life with the hassle of raising children). Such a funny closed process - the faster we are moving forward in terms of science and technology, the faster we get there back - to an environmental or some other disaster, which will again pull out the instinctive (read - animal) principle from us.

Since primativeness is not assessed in any special units, we will estimate its value as a percentage.

And vice versa, a person with completely suppressed instincts and guided only by his mind (practically a walking calculator, a bore) will have a low primativity, close to 0%. It is clear that the extreme values real people do not have, most have primativeness in the range from 20 to 80%.

Approximate estimates

You can give approximate expert assessments of the level of primacy of residents various countries. These will be average estimates in relation to the entire population of the country. Naturally, among this population there will be a number of people with much higher and much lower indicators of primacy. Therefore, there is no need to take the given figures as a basis for resentment or the manifestation of other unhappy feelings; be more reasonable and benevolent, even if you are not satisfied with these estimates.

So, residents of Africa, Asia and the Middle East most likely have the highest rates of primacy. On average, their primacy can be estimated at 75-80%. Residents of countries Central Asia and the Caucasus (former republics of the USSR) on average have primacy rates of 65-70%. The primitiveness of the inhabitants of Russia can be estimated at 55-60%, and it is decreasing due to the stabilization of the economic and political situation in recent years.

The primacy of the indigenous population of the United States (without African Americans) can be estimated at 40-45%. The primitiveness of the inhabitants of Europe (excluding southern countries) can be estimated at 20-25%. Expert assessments, since no serious research has been conducted on this topic.

You already have test results, so you can compare your primacy with the national average. Most likely, it will be somewhat lower than this average value - highly primitive people do not like to read such books. They have more interesting activities- sort out relationships with people around you, produce children and ensure their survival.

Let us first consider the characteristic behavioral features of people with high and low primacy. Based on them, you yourself will be able to assess the reliability of the above estimates.

Characteristics of people with high primacy

A clear positioning of oneself in the human hierarchy (that is, knowledge of one’s place in the community) is usually quite low self-esteem. The need for an external powerful patron who will indicate what needs to be done and protect in case of danger. Unconscious delegation of important decisions to persons occupying a higher position in society (...the master will come, the master will judge us …).

A strict religion, usually with strict regulation of behavior and harsh punishments for violating rituals. High emotionality, easy excitability and aggressiveness (sometimes this sign is absent due to the fulfillment of religious instructions or the established way of life). The predominance of relationships and connections over the law, the use of the law for personal purposes, high corruption(there are exceptions).

High need for family creation and birthlarge quantity children. High sexuality in men. High need for care e about relatives Strong family ties.A penchant for feasting and hospitality. High desire for communication. A strong desire to find your own community and be aggressive towards those who do not share the ideas of this community, be it an association on national, religious or other grounds. High interest in achieving catch by hunting or fishing. High dependence on pleasures, weak resistance to addictions. Expectation of a miracle, high commitment to gambling and drugs with the transition to addiction.

Characteristics of people with low primacy

Reliance on oneself and on scientific knowledge, weak dependence on external forces. Low need for religion. High price of life, respect for any person, tolerance in relationships. Recognition of the rights of any person to his freedom, hence the recognition of same-sex marriage. The predominance of rational thinking over emotions, low emotionality. The predominance of law over relationships and connections, low corruption. Weak family ties, restraint in communication. Weak desire to reproduce. Restraint in emotions, building family relationships with high degree personal freedom, respect for the rights of the partner. The absence of an unconscious desire to be a member of some community.

How does it manifest itself?

Now d let's seehow differences between people with high and low levels of primacy may manifest themselves in specific areas of life.

Self-esteem

Let's take such an important part of life as self-esteem, a sense of self-worth, and the perception of oneself as an important element of the universe.

People with high level of primitiveness usually live in dangerous environments, in difficult conditions, where their lives are threatened by many dangers. You can easily die, so neither your own nor someone else’s life is of serious value. And she is easily sacrificed in the name different ideas- religious, clan, territorial, to preserve what is considered honor in this community, and for many other reasons. It is clear that self-esteem is quite low; a person strives to live surrounded by people close to him (close by blood, nationality, religion, etc.). Finding himself in an unfamiliar environment, he unconsciously (pack instinct) strives to find people close to him by blood (nationality, place of birth, etc.) and communicate with them. Such communities (communities) are created by immigrants to Russia from the Caucasus or Central Asia. But exactly the same communities are formed in European countries or in America by immigrants from Russia. Among their compatriots, people find communication, support, and a sense of security.

Highly primative people are convenient to manage because they do not have their own opinions; they delegate the right to make decisions to those who are higher in rank than them (the viceroy of God - the head of a religious community, the king, the shah, the president (if he wants to call himself that), boss, commander , etc.). They are ready to take any means of governing them for granted, which is why dictatorships or monarchies prevail, where power is inherited.

Since people have low self-esteem, they seek protection and help from some external forces, without counting on themselves. Therefore, in such countries there is a high demand for religion, and a strict religion that clearly prescribes all steps in a person’s life. If the religion is not so strict, then it is popular to seek help from various kinds sorcerers, shamans, clairvoyants or magicians.

Highly primative people usually have little faith in the possibility of changing the situation on their own, so they have a high faith in Miracles. This results in the high popularity of all kinds of raffles, lotteries, and gambling. Moreover, since the rational principle is poorly developed, and faith in the Miracle is high, people cannot stop in their gambling aspirations (including cravings for alcohol and drugs). Understanding this national peculiarity, religious and secular authorities usually impose strict prohibitions on gambling, alcohol and drugs.

In low-primitive communities, where people make conscious decisions, the situation is completely different. Here, each person feels like a Person with certain rights and his own opinion. It is difficult to impose any choice on such people, since they are accustomed to thinking and making decisions for themselves. It is clear that with the help of massive influence through television using modern psychotechnologies, some kind of solution can be imposed on them, but this will not last long. After some time, they will figure out the deception and call to account the one who manipulated them, regardless of his position. We periodically see similar examples, when politicians of any rank, even the highest, are put on trial in developed democracies.

In vosokoprimitivny countries this is impossible. And not because there is no democracy there, but because there are different people there. An attempt to impose a democratic model of governance on a country with a highly primitive population leads to more than sad results. The real owners of the country, using democratic instruments, secure victory in the elections and continue to rule, already having the status of a “civilized” society.” Until the self-esteem and self-awareness of the population reaches a certain level (the primacy of the population decreases to 40-45%), democratic forms will cover clan (pack) relations.

Family

Primacy has a huge impact on family relationships, dictating the family model and behavioral strategies of men and women.

For example, the instinct of procreation makes men unconsciously strive to sleep (create offspring) with the maximum number of women. On a conscious levelthey are only interested in sex, butunconscioushighly primative manseeks to assert himself as a male - the owner of all the females of the pack.

E the same instinct makes womencreate a family and have children at any cost (continue the family line). When choosing a husband, a woman unconsciously striveschoose the highest-ranking (from the point of view of instinct, not reason!) man, and become his wife (or mistress). High-ranking - that is, occupying a high status in society (in the pack).

But if then the man does not live up to expectations women ( turns out to be weak, unsuccessful, penniless), his rank in the woman’s eyes falls sharply (love passes). ABOUTcools off towards him and directs his attention to another, again high-ranking(relative to her status) a man. These processes are described in great detail in the work of V. Protopopov “Treatise on Love from the Point of View of a Terrible Bore”and in the book “Advice to those getting married, rejected and passionately wanting to get rejected”}
