If at the moment you are storming the Internet for entertainment for children around the Christmas tree, this is the place for you. We will tell you with your family, at a children's party, and even on New Year's Eve. No complicated props!

Fortune telling and lotteries

There are plenty of options. You can put a beautiful spruce branch in a vase and decorate it with notes with predictions. Everyone who enters the house tears off a piece of paper and receives a prediction for the next year.

Why not offer your guests cookies and fortune-telling candies? Both adults and children will eagerly respond to this little surprise: everyone is interested in looking into the future. You can write anything you want - both humorous prophecies and serious ones.

For example:

  • Be careful, the frost is about to pat your cheeks.
  • It seems your parents are planning something good and gift against you.
  • It seems it's time for everyone to see your unique smile!

Who stuck to whom?

pandaland.kz

On pieces of paper, write the names of body parts (forehead, left ear, right cheek, nose, left index finger, heel, right big toe, stomach, etc.). Place them in a hat or magic box. Players must take turns taking out pieces of paper and “freeze” to the neighbor at the table (or to the previous player) with the part of the body that is written on the piece of paper. You cannot move after you are frozen. Each time it will be more and more difficult to “freeze”, you will have to get into strange and sometimes funny poses.

It is snowing?!

Make “snowflakes” from small balls of cotton wool. Give one to each participant. On command, players must throw up their cotton balls and blow on them, trying to keep the “snowflake” in the air for as long as possible. You can't help with your hands!

New Year at the Zoo

New Year is celebrated not only by people, but also by animals. People at the festive table sit upright and use a fork and knife. How about the animals? Show us how you eat your New Year's dinner...

  • hippopotamus
  • turtle
  • giraffe

Don't laugh!

In advance, write one New Year’s-themed word on pieces of paper: pine cone, snowflake, icicle, Christmas tree, Snow Maiden, Santa Claus, snowman, garland, etc. Place the leaves in a box or hat. Each player pulls out one piece of paper and silently reads what is written there. The facilitator asks the participants prepared questions. The answer is the word that the player drew. The winner is the one who answers all the host's questions and doesn't laugh.

For example:

What is your name?
- Cone.
- What did you have for lunch today?
- Snowflake.
- Who do you look like?
- On an icicle.

Accurate snow thrower

Make a Christmas tree from a large piece of cardboard, cut holes in it with a diameter of 15-20 cm. Distribute paper balls to the participants in the game. From a distance (draw a line) you need to get into the holes on the Christmas tree. The most accurate sniper will receive a prize!

Another game option to compete in accuracy. Make “snowballs” from cotton wool, polystyrene foam, foam rubber or paper. You can buy tennis balls. Place a container (basket, large saucepan, basin, etc.) in the center of the room. Hand out “snowballs” to the players, place everyone around the “basket”, marking a conditional line that cannot be crossed. The task is to get snowballs into the basket.

Dancer with a hat

Music is playing. Everyone is dancing near the Christmas tree. The presenter puts a hat on any dancer, then must show various dance movements, and repeat the rest after him.

Photo proofs

cdn.trinixy.ru

Create an image for each guest. Arrange a casting with photo tests for the role:

  • the kindest Santa Claus;
  • the most greedy Santa Claus;
  • the most beautiful Snow Maiden;
  • the sleepiest Snow Maiden;
  • the most overfed guest;
  • the most cheerful guest;
  • the most cunning Baba Yaga;
  • the biggest snowflake, etc.

New Year's popcorn

Team game. Cups of popcorn are attached to the players' feet. Secure them with masking tape. You need to run the allotted distance, scattering as little popcorn as possible. Once the team's players finish, the popcorn is poured into the bowl. The team whose bowl is fuller wins.

Magic message

Kids will love the game. A few minutes before you start, prepare a sheet of paper. Using PVA glue, draw a thematic picture or make an inscription. The number of drawings must correspond to the number of players. Invite the children to cast a magic spell and blow a magic snowball (semolina) onto the drawing to bring it to life. A miracle has happened!

Let's make a snowman

mamabook.com.ua

There is nothing difficult about making a snowman: three balls, a carrot nose. And you try to make it together! Two participants sit next to each other at the table, you can hug. The left hand of one participant and the right hand of the other must act synchronously, together, as if they were the hands of one person. It's actually difficult. Try pinch off a piece of plasticine, roll a ball between your palms... It is best to form pairs so that adults and children work together.

Who lives under the Christmas tree?

Prepare pictures of different animals (bunny, squirrel, dog, cat, mouse, chicken, etc.). Place the pictures on the table, face down. The player selects a picture and uses gestures to show everyone else what is depicted. Whoever guesses correctly becomes the leader.

Don't lose your socks

nv.ua

An active and fun game, suitable for any age. Everyone present puts colorful socks on their feet, gets down on all fours and tries to take off the socks of others, but at the same time save their own. The one who collects the most socks wins.

Geese and ducks

Participants in the New Year's competition line up one after another so that their hands are on the shoulders of the person in front. It's good if boys alternate with girls. The presenter approaches each of them and whispers in their ear either “duck” or “goose” (there should be more such people) so that the others do not hear it. After this, the presenter explains that if he now says the word “duck”, all the players to whom he said it will press both legs together. If “goose” - one leg. It seems that there is nothing special in this New Year's competition, but as soon as you say the cherished word out loud, you will understand how fun it is.

Attracting the symbol of the year

In advance, you need to draw up several interesting and educational questions regarding the animal that will be a symbol of the coming year. The one who gives the most correct answers will receive a prize in the form, for example, of the animal’s favorite treat.

Now she's smart...

Team game. Each team receives Christmas tree decorations and clothespins. The task is to hang everything on... one of the team members. Let him spread his fingers and shine like a Christmas tree! The presenter keeps track of the time; you can turn on music or the “chime” to count down the time.

Fun game “Old and New Year”

A leader is chosen and stands in the center of the circle. His arms are extended in different directions (one hand symbolizes the old year, the other - the new year). All other players stand in a circle, pronounce words, to which the leader turns with his eyes closed. To whom at the end of the text the presenter points with his hands, they change places.

The presenter's task is to take an empty seat.

The New Year is already coming,

The old year is not inferior.

We can force it ourselves

Swap their places.

We only counted to three -

They were swapped.

One two Three!

Comic musical game “Dance with a Broom”

Everyone dances in pairs, one boy with a broom. At any moment, he can hit the floor with the broom three times, and all the other boys must let go of their partners. The boy, putting down his broom, quickly invites any lady. The rest of the guys then immediately invite the girls to continue the dance. Whoever is left without a girl takes a broom and dances with it or knocks it on the floor.

Prank game "New Year's Zoo"

The presenter invites the children to take a walk in the zoo and asks them to perform movements that he calls:

1. Raise your hands up, cross them, spread your fingers, make surprised eyes. Amazing! This painting is called “The deer saw the Christmas tree for the first time.”

2. Sit on the floor, grab your ears and pull them to the sides, pat loudly with your feet. The scene is called “The Monkeys Meet Santa Claus.”

3. Stand up, shake yourself off, stretch your right hand forward without removing your hand, bury your nose in it, hide your left hand behind your back and open it palm up, turn to the right, bending down, take your neighbor’s left hand with your right hand. Painting “Elephants dance in a circle.”

Shouting game for Christmas or Maslenitsa “Good news”

The presenter reads the text, and after each phrase the players perform actions with their hands or feet. If the news is good, then everyone claps their hands; if it’s bad, they stomp.

We are going to spend the winter with dignity! (Applause)

Drink tea and eat pancakes! (Applause)

Play, sing, ride a troika! (Applause)

And besides, have a big fight with your neighbor! (Stomp)

Receive a gift for playing, such a huge one!

But it turns out that it is filled with straw!

Today is such a festive day, great!

You will lose your passport in the crowd!

Winter won't go away so easily these days!

Every resident will find a huge treasure!

Nowadays you will be required to pay for everything!

And your salary will increase to a million!

It will rain all summer long!

Every resident will buy a personal plane!

And everyone is in excellent health all year!

Instead of beer, everyone will drink cow's milk!

New Year's chant "We invite Santa Claus"

The presenter repeats the chant several times, calling on both boys and girls to participate:

Here is the Christmas tree.

And everything is on fire.

So the holiday is coming!

But someone is missing!

We need to call him

We need to scream loudly.

Who is louder? Here's the question!

Come on guys... (Santa Claus!)

Hey girls, look up!

Let's shout together... (Santa Claus!)

New Year's game "Santa Claus is coming, coming to us"

The presenter invites the children to learn the words and perform a song to the tune “A Christmas tree was born in the forest.” Gradually all words are replaced by gestures. At the end we get a song without words, consisting of gestures:

Santa Claus is coming, coming to us,

Santa Claus is coming to us.

And we know that Santa Claus

He brings us gifts.

Words are replaced gradually in the following order. Instead of the word “goes,” you need to stomp your feet, “Santa Claus” - show a long beard, “we”, “us” - point to yourself, “gifts” - make a large circle with your hands, “we know” - bring your index finger to your forehead, “ carries” - put your palms forward.

New Year's game "Once a year on New Year's Eve"

The players’ task is to add in unison after the leader’s phrase: “Once a year on New Year’s Eve.”

We are celebrating this holiday...

Decorating the Christmas tree at home...

We invite friends to our house...

We don't go to sleep at night...

We'll have fun until the morning...

The President congratulates us...

And he wishes us health...

Comic game “Drawing Santa Claus”

Give the players sheets of paper and ask them to draw a picture, placing the sheet on the top of their head. The presenter lists what the players must draw: a circle (or torso), a small circle (head), left leg, right hand, nose, felt boots on the left leg, right leg, eyes, a bag with gifts, beard, felt boots on the right leg, left hand, gifts in a bag. You can also suggest drawing mittens on your hands and a headdress.

To make the game more interesting, the presenter should not just list what needs to be drawn, but approach it creatively: for example, tell how Santa Claus’s right leg is frozen and he definitely needs to put on a felt boot, etc. Now each player passes his drawing to his neighbor on the right, who calculates the sum of points. Points are calculated as follows: 10 points if Santa Claus's feet are in the correct place, 15 if the nose is on his head, 20 if felt boots are on his feet, 25 if the eyes are located on the head, 30 points are awarded if the bag is not touches Santa Claus, 35 if the mittens are on the hands, 40 if the gifts are in the bag, 45 if the hands are drawn in place, 50 if the beard is on the face, 75 if the headdress is on the head of Santa Claus.

The gift is received by the player whose drawing is rated with more points.

Good afternoon, dear readers!

As the New Year approaches, a fun time of games, entertainment, songs, dances and gifts begins for children.

However, for adults, and especially cultural workers, this is another test of strength, because you need to prepare a script for the matinee, rehearse, find costumes and, most importantly, figure out how to entertain the kids near the New Year tree.

So that the kids don’t get bored at the matinee, we present New Year’s games for children near the Christmas tree. I hope that the selection will be useful to you.

Many of us remember the New Year's matinees of Soviet times. The competitions and entertainment at them were quite monotonous.

True, some of them have already become a real tradition, and modern children also look forward to the usual songs, round dances around the Christmas tree and games with Santa Claus. The most popular of them still remain:

  • Round dances to the songs “Little Christmas Tree” and “A Christmas Tree Was Born in the Forest.”
  • “I’ll freeze”: it is usually carried out by Santa Claus. He runs past the guys who put their hands forward. When Santa Claus approaches, you need to hide your hands. The one whose hands Grandfather touches is eliminated and stands in a circle. The “frozen” will have to recite a rhyme or sing a song. This competition, like the next one, is held to music.
  • "Mitten." Santa Claus passes a mitten to the children in a circle. It is important to quickly pass it to the next participant without dropping it. If someone’s mitten falls, that participant drops out and stands in a circle, and the mitten “travels” further.
  • Christmas tree, light up! This remark always accompanies the end of the New Year's party. The children unanimously call Santa Claus. When he arrives, everyone shouts together: “Christmas tree, light up!” The Christmas tree is lit only for the third time, after which the final song of Santa Claus sounds and gifts are distributed.

These entertainments create a kind of “backbone” of the holiday, without which the New Year is simply unthinkable for children. The organizers and creators of the matinee script can “string” any variants of competitions onto it.

In room

If the matinee takes place on the premises of a kindergarten or school, you can use the following selection of competitions:

Low and high Christmas trees

The game can be played with musical accompaniment. The guys stand in a circle, Santa Claus or another hero is located in the center. At the command “high trees”, participants raise their hands up, “low trees” - lower them down.

Whoever does it wrong or is late goes into the circle. After the game ends, the children in the circle are asked to recite a poem, sing or dance. Small prizes must be prepared in advance for the speakers.

Snowballs

Snow balls are made from crumpled sheets of white paper. The competition can be held among two teams. It may have various options. For example, you can scatter lumps on the floor and ask teams to collect snowballs into baskets while music is playing.

The team whose basket contains the most snowballs wins. Another option is snow basketball. The guys stand in a column. Each participant is given a lump, which they need to get into a basket standing at a distance. The team that throws the most snowballs into the basket wins. The winners are given mini-prizes.

Guess what's in the bag

Various things are placed in Santa Claus's bag. Children must feel by touch which gift is in the bag.

Pass the orange

The competition can be held in teams or in a circle. The task is to pass the orange to the next participants without using your hands. The further the orange goes while the music is playing, the better.

Fishermen

Christmas tree toys with pre-made loops are placed in a large box. The children are given fishing rods with hooks. The task is to pick up as many Christmas tree decorations as possible.

Such funny competitions and games will not let your children get bored and will make the New Year truly festive!

Outdoors

If you started a matinee on the street, you will have to change the scenario a little and include other games and entertainment in it:

Make a snowball

Several willing participants are selected. At the command of the presenter, music plays, and during this time the children must roll a snowball. Whoever gets the most wins.

Towns

One team builds a fortification out of snow. The other one must conquer him. Snowballs are used, with which the participants try to break through the fortification.

King of the Hill

A snow hill is being built. One of the participants stands on top, and the others try to pull him down from there. Whoever succeeds in this becomes the “king” and the game starts all over again.

Accurate shooter

Targets are placed. The task is to hit the target with snowballs.

Similar entertainment can be carried out with children after the traditional matinee. They will amuse the children and prolong the New Year's fun.

So we found out what games you can play with your kids near the Christmas tree for the New Year. Both children and adults can play, this will only make it more fun.

Upcoming holidays!

Ekaterina Chesnakova was with you with games, nursery rhymes and firecrackers.

Here it is - the long-awaited new year. Almost everything is ready for the holiday, we just have to wait a little and we will smoothly move into the new year. But, while there is still time, let's play funny and interesting games for children for the New Year. You can play different games near the Christmas tree and do it as a team or one at a time. Our new games are played with Santa Claus, with a presenter and adults. Watch and play have fun!

The game is frosty, frosty!
Yes, when it’s frosty outside, you don’t want to leave the house. But what to do if you still have to go? Then along the way you need to warm up, such as rubbing your hands, jumping and even doing exercises! And our first game is exactly about this – about a frosty day.
All children stand in one line. The presenter says the weather:
- minus ten
- minus twenty
- minus thirty
- minus forty
When the presenter says minus ten, the children simply rub their hands together.
If the presenter said minus twenty, then the children shift from foot to foot.
When it’s minus thirty, the children are already burping.
And if everything is minus forty, then we hide in the house!
The presenter's task is to name different temperatures in any order in order to confuse the children. Whoever makes a mistake freezes and does not play further. And those who performed all the movements correctly and did not freeze win!

Game - what does the Christmas tree like?
This game is played with all children at once. The children stand in a circle near the New Year tree, and Santa Claus or the presenter reads a poem. The poem asks - what does the Christmas tree like? And the children must answer. They just answer like this: if the tree likes it, then they clap. If they don’t like it, then they stomp! It turns out to be fun, noisy and interesting.
And here is the poem itself:

Game - Santa Claus's mitten
As the name of the game implies, here we are using Santa Claus's mitten. Children stand in a circle around the Christmas tree. Music is playing and Santa Claus walks in a circle and looks at the children. As soon as the music ends, Santa Claus throws his mitten to the child opposite. The child catches the mitten and immediately runs around the Christmas tree. And Santa Claus runs in the other direction. If the child manages to run ahead of Santa Claus to his place, then he has won. If Santa Claus was the first to take his place, then the child sits down at the Christmas tree and he is frozen.
If a child is frozen, another child can defrost him. To do this, he must touch the frozen one during his run, when Santa Claus throws him a mitten. If he touched something frozen. But they did not have time to return to their place in the circle, then they were both frozen.

The game is a New Year's circle.
Before the game you need to know exactly the number of children. If there are 16 of them, then we play according to the following rules. Music is playing and all the children are dancing with Santa Claus. As soon as the music stopped, Santa Claus said: let’s stand in a circle of 2 people. Children form circles of 2 people. Then the music plays again and dancing again. The music stops, and Santa Claus says: let's stand in a circle of 4 people! Afterwards there is music again, and when they stop, Santa Claus says: now there are 8 people each. Next is dancing. And when the music fades away, Santa Claus says: now there are 16 people! And then all the children form one big circle.
The essence of the game is that children form small circles, then more and more, and eventually one big one.

The game is a magic box.
To play the game you need to prepare boxes of different sizes. Place the prize in the smallest box. Then put the small box into a larger box, the larger box into an even larger one, and so on. You will get a nesting doll made from boxes.
When the nesting dolls are assembled from the boxes, you can start playing. Children stand around the Christmas tree and music plays. While the music is playing, the children pass the box to each other. When the music stops. Then the one who has the box opens the top cover. If there are other boxes there, then the music plays again and the boxes are passed on. The game continues until someone opens the last box and sees the prize.

Game - Christmas tree with gifts.
To play, you need to make a Christmas tree out of cardboard. And hang cardboard or paper circles on it with numbers written on them. Each number corresponds to a specific gift. To receive a gift, children must hit a circle with a paper snowball. The more valuable the gift, the harder it is to get into the circle. They throw snowballs one at a time, and the order can be determined by solving riddles. Whoever guessed correctly throws it. Hit - got a prize. Again a riddle, and whoever guessed it throws it. And so on.

FUN OF SANTA CLAUS

16 games for New Year's matinees

I know that teachers always have difficulties with games when creating scenarios. My games were held over many years. Children really like them, and if Grandfather also plays Frost and other characters, then complete delight!

NEW YEAR'S AUCTION

Players take turns listing everything that happens in New year: Grandfather Freezing, Snow Maiden, Christmas tree, gifts, Christmas tree toys, needles on the floor, snow, lanterns, etc.

The one who runs out of ideas is out of the game. The most resourceful one wins.

THE MOST DEXTERABLE

Grandfather Frost and Snow Maiden(or other characters according to the script) holding in their hand a hoop entwined with Christmas tree tinsel. Cotton balls are poured onto the floor ( "snowballs"). Children, at the command of the heroes, throw lumps into the hoops, then count the number of hits in the hoop Santa Claus and into the Snow Maiden's hoop.

DECORATE THE TREE

In front of the main Christmas tree, two small Christmas trees and two boxes with unbreakable New Year's toys. Three people are called to each tree. By command Children dress up Santa Claus. Whoever decorates his Christmas tree with all the toys from the box faster and more accurately wins.

The game is good to play with fun rhythmic music. The children are standing around. Grandfather Freezing or the host of the holiday begins the game by transferring the hat from his head to the head of the child standing next to him, he, in turn, transfers the hat from his head to the head of his neighbor and so on in a circle. By command Santa Claus(clap, whistle, strike with staff) the movement stops, and the one who still has the hat on at that moment must dance, sing or tell a winter poem, a proverb, or ask a riddle.

PORTRAIT SANTA CLAUS

1st option (individual).

Children are given pencils or markers. A sheet of Whatman paper is hung on an easel with magnets. You need to draw by holding a pencil or felt-tip pen between your teeth. (with eyes closed or left hand).

2nd option (collective).

All players are blindfolded with scarves. On a large Whatman paper, children take turns drawing some part of the figure. Santa Claus. At the same time, players are not informed to what place Grandfather has already been drawn Freezing. So, it may turn out that he will have two beards or a whole pyramid of bags with gifts.

SNOW FALL REVERSE

Each child is given "snowball" (on a small cotton ball). At a signal from Winter or the leader, the children loosen their lumps and launch them into the air (throwing up) and begin to blow on them from below so that they stay in the air as long as possible and do not fall to the floor. The most dexterous one wins.

WHO IS BIGGER?

Grandfather Freezing, Snow Maiden or Snowman suits "snowfall"- throws up a whole bunch of paper snowflakes. Children are given baskets. At the signal, players begin collecting snowflakes in a basket. The one with the most snowflakes wins.

CHOOSE WHAT YOU LIKE

Children select gifts from a bag by touch Santa Claus, describing in detail what it is and what it is like. Or you can hide gifts in boxes of different sizes so that children can imagine what might be in the box (it will be even more interesting if the smallest gift is in the largest box).

BAG OF SURPRISES

Two children compete (one by one). The first person is blindfolded and given a small bag containing various toys. (cubes, balls, nesting dolls, cars, etc.). Task: take objects out of the bag and identify them by touch. The player must answer what kind of thing he got. Then the toys are changed and the game is repeated with the second participant. Of the two, the one who correctly guessed the largest number of toys wins.

NEW YEAR'S CONCERT

Cards with New Year's illustrations: Christmas tree, round dance, snowflake, icicle, skis, sleds, etc. Children take turns taking out a card and, after looking at the image on it, must read a poem about it or sing an excerpt from a song.

MUSICAL CARUSEL

Chairs are placed in a circle (there are 1 less of them than players). Grandfather is among the players Frost or Snowman. Music sounds, all participants in the game begin to run around the chairs. As soon as the music stops, all the children quickly try to take their seats. The adult hero plays half-heartedly (giving in, pretending that he doesn’t have time to sit down on a chair all the time. Since all the seats are occupied by children, he will have to dance for everyone or give out gifts.

PRIZE FOR "THREE!"

Two participants stand opposite each other, with a prize lying on a chair in front of them.

Grandfather Frost is counting:

"One two Three. eleven!”

"One two Three. twenty!”

The winner is the one who is attentive and the first to take the prize when Grandfather Frost will say: "Three!"

BUILD A SNOWMAN

Snowman details are cut out of whatman paper (Two copies): three circles of different sizes. From colored paper: eyes, mouth, nose–carrot, bucket, scarf, broom. The summoned children, on command, quickly assemble snowmen from the offered parts on the floor near the Christmas tree. The winner is the one who assembles the snowman more accurately, quickly and correctly, using all the prepared parts.

COLLECT A SNOWFLAKE

Large snowflakes are cut into triangles. Placed near the Christmas tree. Task: While fun, moving music is playing, put all the parts together. The winner is the one who keeps to the music and neatly folds everything.

FUNNY RATTLER

Grandfather Freezing competes with children in running in sacks or jumping on one leg around a Christmas tree. One condition mandatory: Having run around or jumped to the agreed upon place, you need to take a rattle - a maracas on a chair in front of the Christmas tree and ring it.

Catch up with felt boots

Children stand in a circle, a felt boot is given to them. Children pass felt boots around in a circle to cheerful music, and Grandfather Freezing trying to catch up with him. Children need to pass the felt boots very quickly so that Grandfather Freezing couldn't take it away.
